It could just be UK slang or something, but, when he said 'strawberry 'chief' I thought 'strawberry handkerchief', strawberry being an allusion to the color of blood. Also, I may be wrong, but, wasn't a handkerchief an important object in the play Othello? Another possible Shakespeare reference, maybe?

Be careful with JPW, people...remember Vlad said he's manipulate us into revealing everything...and his interactions already seem to show that he is a sneaky devil, charming us into giving him things and then not keeping up his end of the bargain. It is not Vlad who has hacked Telos, but JPW (though I know OOG it's the PM who controls both, and hacking someone's account is Shocked). Don't give in! He is trying to undermine our trust in Vlad.

Oh, I actually didn't think he'd keep his end of the bargain. Smile But, like I said, I like him just fine.

 		Check out JPW's album "An army". The album caption mentions sinople and balance. "Sinople" was the comment on the eyeless Alice picture that Vlad posted to the rooks.

I remember JPW mentioned his grandfather to someone...perhaps JPW's grandfather died in the Coventry Blitz, & he wants to change time so that he survives? Perhaps using the machine requires not just ancestry, but the end of the life with the ancestral connection? *shrug*

"Argonauts" - Ministry of Argon being Dept .18
Intended pun? Iunno. But I did get a little chuckle when I realized it.

The email is signed 'Jason' and as the "Leader of the Argonauts", but was using JPW's email. Said sans one. Does this mean Vlad is no longer part of their group, or did JPW do something brash and get booted?

I'm leaning more towards Vlad no longer being counted.


I'd still like to know what the whole 'power out until midnight' bit is all about. Are they like...saving all that power they would have used during the day to power the machine or something? Like, reroute the power to it so that it wouldn't look suspicious seeing a huge increase in their power consumption? Or is it something to do with Vlad's little trick, that 'astral projection-esque' thing he can do?

Wait. Couldn't future Vlad have given present Vlad information about Vanessa's movements and whereabouts and sent it by machine? (OT: Having flashbacks to Groundhog).

Future Vlad mentioned 3 trustworthy men who did this project. Vlad, Johan, and another. "Johan and I, with another wonderful brilliant man". I would think Vlad would tell us if the third party was JPW or at least not refer to him as "wonderful" and "brilliant". IDK. I'm still sick and feeling loopy right now.

I see you commented on Claire's mention that her computer booted up on its own for some reason, that her Windows startup sound was turned off & locked, and that her computer happened to be on FB. Vlad turned off the breaker when he got to V's. Methinks JPW has some way of travelling through the Interweb/electricity in general to hack accounts and find info anyone has stored on their computer. Hence, it is a good thing Claire just used her multifunction to make copies of the stuff she's sending James and Dawn and I rather than actually scanning it (i.e., I think her copies were hardcopy photocopies rather than anything electronic, or it wouldn't make sense to also ask the three of us to do the scanning)...and hence the reason why Vlad asked, uh, I think it was Dawn not to allow the scattered items to ever be brought together again...if the items were all uploaded to, say, the 7-etc. "key" Facebook group (the in-game one that V and Claire are part of), even though JPW is not actually a member, he'd find some way to look at that info, such as by hacking the FB account of one of us (or V or Claire...Claire already seems to have been hacked, after all) who is part of that group. (Sorry, I know I'm rambling/running on.)

So...when we get the goods, is it safe for us to scan and post them to an OOG site such as the wiki, even if we have to (perhaps) lie to Claire/etc. and say the post never came or our scanners suddenly broke or something? Will the PM respect that wiki space & this forum as being OOG? He/she seems to have respected this forum's OOG-ness thus far, but I can't say I haven't been in ARGs where the players ended up getting really upset about a PM treating as IG sites/info/etc. the players considered fully OOG.

Ok, I get the "sinople" reference now...at least in part!

We know that Vanessa is basically "she who may end up becoming the Red Queen (but that might not be a good thing)."

When JPW hacked Telos' FB account, one of the things he said was "Love from the Jade King."

He also said to Jane Doh (chatting while signed into his own FB account, not Telos'), "Thank you for helping Vanessa though. Her coronation on the 11th will be most glorious now for your help."

Why would the Jade (green) King want the creation of the Red Queen?

Didn't we conclude a 'second' in chess was like a coach?

Moving The Seconds For National Defence - (or similar, haven't looked back to check it.) both a 'Second' and Base64 reference in it?

Also, it may be an unneeded point, but, I'd figure if you were to look at a board as 64 squares, each player would have 32 squares of their own. there are 16 pieces each player. Half of 64 is 32. Half of 32 is 16. Half of 16 is 8. There are 8 squares in a row. Half of 8 is 4, there are 4 rows between the players 'front row' (Pawns.) half of 4 is 2 - two players. Half of 2 is 1 - one player each side.

As everyone keeps saying - Balance.

Again, it may be unneeded, but it's just something that came to mind when the relation to 64 and chess came up

 		Didn't JPW say one of his bishops is down, or soon to be? That balances Vlad being down (or being down soon).

Does JPW want V to be crowned because it would balance the crowning of someone else he wants crowned? I dunno, I'm tired, I'm going to bed, heh Smile.
