ok we now these because vanessa put them up online in family tree ok [or claire did at least!]
she obviously knows her own, and her uncle and her mum's death day, what with funeral and all - i'm just thinking how everyone knows everyone - we have vlad saying he loved v's mum. johan sying someone killed her, that vlad says it was jpw - confused -wh's telling the truth?!

Don't be so quick to take it personally. There is something to be said for making certain kinds of statements for the purposes of getting information from one's counterpoint. It can be quite a useful tactic, esp. vis-a-vis fictional characters.

Edit: A solution after some thought: perhaps in the future I should only summarize my chats, but well... then I'd really look like a traitor wouldn't I? How would you ever know I was being fully transparent?

Hmm. Let's think about some options. (Brain hurting already...been a long week)

1. JPW is V's dad. We have been told in various ways that V's dad took off when she was born because she wasn't a boy...but perhaps that is not really the case & JPW is a good guy and V's dad and Vlad and Johan are going to do something that will kill/hurt V somehow (thus the need to "save my daughter") in order to save V's mother, which in turn would somehow let the Nazis win WWII.

2. "the man who killed her mother" is still JPW, even though V is his daughter...and V needs protection from him, because he's gunning for her. JPW is bad, and is lying about Vlad & Johan wanting to use the machine. (Didn't Vlad make some statement that V's using the machine would be a bad thing?)

...uh, that's all I got right now. I finally managed to get an alien brain score at that brain game right now, but that is hilarious because I'm actually feeling pretty braindead.

Edit: oh, and "the countless who were saved orginally" were likely the many who were saved by letting Coventry still be bombed, therefore not alerting the Germans to the fact that their Enigma machine's code had been cracked & that the Allies would now be able to counter them effectively & win the war. (Remember Vlad's first discussion with Telos about this--the end of saving many being justified by allowing the sacrifice of Coventry.)

James has flat out accused JPW of murdering V's mom and he's never denied it. He's conveniently just ignored those parts of the conversation.

Than again, didn't V tell one of us a while back that he wasn't concerned about V's family? I can't remember...

I thought the same thing. Vlad wanted to stop her from becoming 'queen' as he stated. He also said that her using the machine would mean a lot of bad things.

Personally, I think Vlad is teaching her a way to combat the Ministry of Argon. Even if JPW is her father, it's (in my mind) the whole Starwars deal. Just picture JPW with a black helm going "VANESSA! I. AM. YOUR. FATHER!", and he's trying to get her to 'join the dark side.'

That being said, I still don't think Vlad is a good guy, but I don't think he's a bad guy. I think him offering to coach V is showing that he's an outside force trying to show her everything at hand.

Then again. J, Vlad and this Alan guy, I'm sure would have wanted to see the machine be used. From what I can understand, that machine is their collective mind's child. I'm sure they would have wanted to see it work.

Also. This key and 73939133.. Chekhov's Gun ring a bell? They were presented early on. They've gotta be used somewhere in the story at some point.

 		I am trying to decide whether to keep Claire as a friend or not. I have not accepted JPW's friend request (nor clicked any button to make it go away...just letting it sit there), but I am wondering if I should be removing "Claire" to keep JPW from seeing my Wall/etc.

More importantly, I wonder if we should private-tweet Vanessa and encourage her to remove Claire as a FB friend.

Also, I don't think it matters. If what he says is true - he's got copies of everything thus far, from when he cracked in to my account. He's got all the scans according to my chat with him tonight. He needs the originals, though.

Also - I just remembered. This whole Ministry of Argon thing, I soooo called it earlier on in the game. Vlad was involved in a 'cult', which is how he got access to his little 'ability' and why he was being watched constantly.

Yes, the wiki speaks true. Smile Believe Vlad means V's entire genealogical "family". (bolding mine)

Does Vanessa know about Claire? she's been so busy with the 'chess game and uncle etc etc etc - sh'e not reallly mentionned claire - just - hi scan all this crap for me i'm off to do lolcats basically...

'pack' comment being discussed brought me back to the cards thing again - is this something we're overlooking as well - too much - but like telos said - it's all got a link up apparently?!

Wait...Vlad said JPW was his mentor there...and in JPW's chat with Jane, he referred to Vlad as his mentor...so yeah, who is whom???
