I read it the way you did, too, at first, lol. I think it's definitely "Now at cave".

Searching Wikipedia for "Robert Watson" came up with a scientist that seems to specialize in global warming, a computer scientist who does stuff I don't understand, and a World Scrabble champion.

"R Watson" gave me 6,000+ results. All the "Bob Watson" categories seem to be professional athletes.

I googled Claire's wall photo sentences. While I didn't get a direct hit on anything (didn't think I would since it seems very unique), I did get a partial hit and I knew the wording sounded familiar. It does seem reminiscent of the "Don't Grieve for me" poem, often read at funerals.

I'm a bit off my game this week (Lots of family stress and stuff.), sorry 'bout that. Any way, the XX over the head isn't just for 20, it's the 20th trump card.

I know jack shit about Tarot except for what I've posted, but I'm thinking maybe the cards that have been given emphasis have been a 'hand'? Like, a hand in poker or something, but, a hand in Tarot? Maybe that will shed some light on the subject?

Another note on card 20. Judgment is also known as The Angel.
The people on the card are grayish, often the color used to represent the dead in art like that. They seem to be coming out of graves or something.
Looks like there's mountains in the background.

According to Wikipedia, "When Judgment appears in a reading, it is usually interpreted as a signal of an impending judgment, such as of postponed decisions. As the card symbolizes resurrection, it can also be interpreted to herald the return of individuals from the past. The card also represents God's promise of life after death."

We all know some climax is coming, that'll be the Judgment. Life after death may refer to that happens as a result of the machine being used? Or maybe it's taken in the philosophical meaning of a legacy living on after death, like when someone says a person lives on through their work?

I'm wondering, what happened to Alan? Do we know? I assume he's already died due to exposure to materials used in his work - the same reason J is dying... But do we have confirmation?

Also, every time it's been brought up recently, even after Jane's conversation, JPW has basically dodged my question about being V's mother's murderer, and V's own father. I'm almost certain he's one of them, or at least connected directly to both, besides his involvement in the Ministry.

Also! I don't remember if I posted it or not, but, the last time I asked about that subject, I mentioned thinking it was his own personal crusade and not something his Ministry was part of. He basically confirmed it, saying that the Ministry doesn't know the full extent of his involvement.

I still don't see a lot of the connections, but, I know they're there.

sorry to hear about your mum - this game seems to be throwing up lots of links between many things - the bubbl thing started working good - any more progress with that Dreamerblue?

Honestly, I haven't done any further work with the bubbl site myself, and I'm pretty exhausted right now (sick but trying to work through it as it's the last week of classes before exams & trying to help the students be ready for them...oh, and finish off marking and look after various other real-world things, too).

Before Vlad had us all thinking he was going to die, this game made more sense to me...now I'm never really sure what I should be focusing on. The pawn problem came up, I eventually found and posted a solution, and Vlad basically told me the problem itself wasn't as important as the connections that came up through the pawn problem. But at other times it seems like we try to name all the connections, but are supposed to be seeing something deeper in the image itself, or where it comes from, or...I dunno, I'm probably just confused because I'm sick, heh.

Going to have two chat logs and an email posted up on Pastebin in a moment for you guys. One from Vlad, one from JPW, and an automated email from Vlad. For now, the card is from the Rider-Waite deck, which is the most popular tarot deck in modern times for English speaking 'players'.

JPW mentioned it in our chat, but, I had caught on before, and was going to post it here, but got held up.

WOW, Telos!. When decoded, the numbers in your chat lead to Alan Turing's Epitaph who I reckon we'de already guessed.

Oh, ok, so that is why R W was mentioned...no R Watson, then.

So, if the Judgment card can represent the return of persons from the past...then the return of Alan would make perfect sense.

And about the "inactive" thing...remember, when Vlad was making like he was going to be dead, his profile posted through a "macro":

Hey guys, sorry I've been pretty absent lately. Still getting back in the swing of the whole school thing. I haven't caught up on what's going on, but I do have one teeny little piece of information that may or may not come in handy.

The major arcana of the Tarot (to which Judgement belongs) describe man's journey, also known as the Fool's Journey, through life towards enlightenment. It begins with The Fool, who is naive and pleasure-seeking, and ends with The World, which signifies a stage in which man is in balance with his surroundings. Cards can have different meaning based on where they lie in the spread, but without some kind of clue as to what kind of spread is being used, the order of cards is relatively meaningless (excluding in-game references).
