Oh, I see! I've been avoiding them because of the Nightmares but I may decide to get brave!

Hey Jill, welcome to Fallen London. @Staxxington just added you on Twitter. I look forward to reading you some of my banned poetry / leading you in a foxtrot around a masked ball / slipping some laudanum in your drink (or all of the above).

OK I am in New Newgate again for the first time. Anything really important I should do or try to get before my release? I already have made acquaintance with the forger.

I couldnt find this in the thread but I got bored reading so may have missed it.

Are we being gentlemanly and asking people before, doing something intellectual/shadowy/brawl/social etc or are we being urchins in our rags and rudeness?

OOG: On a seperate note I recently found a book by Neil Gaiman called neverwhere which is about a "london below" Does any one know if there are parallels between the two?

We are being unschooled and uncouth urchins. Don't be surprised if an invitation that may hurt another's qualities (helping w/ Nightmares, for example) goes ignored. However, the usual invitations (supper, chess, etc.) are often welcome.

Don't know if Neverwhere is a direct inspiration, but there is a BBC series made out of it, which was available to watch instantly on Netflix last time I looked.

I wasn't aware that helping someone else with Nightmares hurt your qualities... oops! Sorry and an extra thanks to all of those who have lent me an ear in the past.

Well, I mean... when I relieve you of your nightmares, mine increase. However, I believe if I immediately turn around and ask you to help out with my nightmares, and you do, we both benefit. Though, granted, I'm not sure I've ever really tested it. It was a game announcement a while back.

I guess what I'm saying is: if my Nightmares are high, and someone is asking me to help me w/ theirs, I may not jump at the invitation.

Doing the above doesn't affect other qualities.

The other menaces don't work that way at all.

Rather excitingly, it looks like there's going to be a live EB event on the evening of 26th march at the v&a in London. Woot! An evening with Mr Mirrors, indeed.
