I stumbled onto Echo Bazaar earlier today, and was instantly enchanted. Obviously, I don't have anything of interest to comment on yet *grin*. I'm grateful for the strategy tips early on in this thread though -- the idea of focussing on two of the four stats feels good, for instance.

I'm going to follow a bunch of tweeps from the game and this forum -- thanks so much for maintaining the list -- and would encourage anyone who feels like it to call on me in-game, twitter randomly at me, or consider some beer at a suitable London venue some time.

A quick note that there's some new stuff which has appeared today:

• Most notable, you can now spend 3 Fate to start the Involved in the Soul Trade storyline!
  
• Lodgings cards have had a slight change - now there are 3 options on each, with the third being to move into the lodgings. The other two are adventures involving those lodgings.
  
• Access to Mrs Plenty's Carnival has now been reduced in price to 20 Fate.

These are great changes! I had to decide between the soul adventures and early carnival access. I chose the adventures so I'll have to wait some more for the Carnival. When does it open to the public?

2 questions I'd appreciate help with:

I have found myself in possession of a London Street Sign. I don't know where I got it from! I have a vague memory of, weeks ago, some exciting option somewhere requiring one, but I can't remember what it was. Would anyone be able to tell me what it's for?

I failed to note at which ranks I was rewarded with new strategies in the Game of Knife and Candle. This is crucial tactical knowledge. Does anyone have a note of them?

If you go to your Lodgings, and go to Open a Way to Other Parts of the City, you should find where your street sign will lead you!

As for Knife and Candle, I have six strategies available at level 14. I thought they were awarded at every second level but that can't be right, can it?

I don't seem to have the sign any more. Maybe I dreamed it. It's entirely possible.

I think, through trial and error and memory, I've worked out the strategies.

The Clenched Fist: 1
The Swimmer of Shadows: 2
The Fool's Wager: 3
The Honey-Trap: 5
The Decoy: 8
...the Best Form of Defence: 12

Which would have me expecting the next one at 17 . . .
