Damn. My level is too high, even with every bit of Dangerous quality lowering item I can get my hands on.

Even if you wear a ridiculous hat?

Ridiculous Hat, Bottled Oblivion, anything. I'm at level 100 on every stat. I didn't know you would need multiple hearts to get any good out of them. Been a loooong time since Ladybones.

Nothing very groundbreaking here. I forgot to save the text the first time so i did it again. Now i have 4 hearts left.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
'Ah, yes...'

Who made this storylet?
'Yes,' he says enthusiastically, 'I'll repatriate these.' Well...good. Good? What have you gotten into here?

You've lost 5 x A Leathery Human Heart (new total 4). [?] Connected: Revolutionaries is increasing...[?]

I've maxed out my stats once more and gone through all the new content like a wood chipper. I'm now interested in Seeking Mr. Eaten's Name. Those who have begun have probably explained it before and will likely roll their glassies at my neophytic inquiry, but how does one begin? I'm at Unaccountably Peckish level 3 and have started the Death by Water recurring dreams (at level 3 currently). Is it gained through K & C? I gleaned the general idea from previous posts but wasn't sure if that's the only way it's accomplished.

UP 3 is good. You don't need more, I think.

To get started:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
At Death by Water 8 or 9 or so, there will be a dream called 'dreams of your home on the surface' or something of the sort. One of the options for that will start you on Seeking the Name. I think it'll be obvious which one - it has the Mr. Eaten's Name symbol as the picture, and the text is suitable.

K&C is not necessary; I'm at Seeking the Name 4, and have not played K&C.

In case you want more levels and a walkthrough:

2:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
An red-bordered opportunity card will take you from 1 to 2. (Or maybe I've mixed up 2 and

3:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Hunting for curios in the forgotten quarter has an option to take you from 2 to 3.

4:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

There are two opportunity cards that I have gotten at level 3.

One of them is an angry note from the Masters. It requires Connected: The Masters of the Bazaar. Playing this will raise Seeking the Name by 1 point, and will wipe out ALL of your Connected:Masters. Don't do this.

The other one of them is hard to find, as it appears ONLY in the Shuttered Palace, and not all that often. It's called An Ivied Wall or something of the sort. It hurts a lot. And I mean a lot. Big increases in Wounds, Nightmares, drops in Persuasive and Watchful. But still not as bad as losing all your Connected:Masters

I stopped once I got to 4. If there are more cards that appear or if I have missed something about the Seeking Mr. Eaten's Name sequence, I'd love for someone to tell me where I've gone wrong (or where I haven't gone far enough.) [/spoiler]

Thanks, o my brother. I certainly appreciate it. In this case I'm almost at level 8 on Death By Water.

FireFox Candle Stub
Where to get firefox candle stubs

The "Polite Deacon" cards where you have to go chase a courier that is going to destroy some church records, gave me 24xFoxfire Candle Stubs plus "Connected: The Church".

Can anyone tell me if they have An Agent of the Cheesemonger at above 15? If so, do you remember how you unlocked the card for 16? If not, ah well, I suppose I'll wait for new content.

It's a gold Opportunity card. The Cheesemonger storyline has been finished.

It's really too bad. I was enjoying that particular storyline and was curious as to where it was headed. Here's to hoping it resurfaces, my droogs.

There's quite a bit of story after 15. But it does have a definite end now.

Wow. Just finished the Cheesemonger storyline... The new content was awesome. I highly recommend you pursue post haste.

Has anyone got a key of dreams, or know where to get one?

I asked about this and here was my response:

Benjamin Villein: Sir,

I have little time for the esoteric, but I understand the Key of Dreams symbolises the transition from the potential to the actual: that is, something 'locked with the Key of Dreams' does not yet quite exist.

Regards,

OK, makes sense.

I'm guessing that alpha testers get a key of dreams then? Or maybe the labyrinth is just there to get us excited about it..

Lodgings
How do I find new lodgings?

Question for you, for which I cannot seem to find an answer on the wiki: how does one obtain new lodgings? Via a card or only via a storylet? I suspect I need to reach a certain number of Whispered Secrets.

Also, I note that my base lodgings, the Attic Room, is not described in the Echo Bazaar wiki.
"An Attic Room: a cramped and draughty room on the top floor of a lodging-house. This address allows you to keep 2 Opportunity cards in your hand." I think I needed 100 Whispered Secrets to be able to obtain it.

Looking for fellow players on Twitter: _Snowpea

I'm new to the game as well, but have more info for you on the "Bag A Legend" Ambition

Recapture the escaped sorrow-spider in the Scarred Naturalist's conservatory.
Catch it!

The horrid thing scuttles across the glass roof with astonishing speed, the hairs on its legs rasping at the panes.
You have it!

You lower the net full of struggling chitinous horror very carefully into the Scarred Naturalist's specimen tank, and just in time, as it snips through more strands of net with its mandibles, and is free to glare at you through the side of the tank.

Back to the Vake. The Naturalist is prepared to help you, and won't require a share in the reward, as long as you deliver its carcass for him to dissect. He has an idea for finding it. The Vake is cautious, but curious, and very watchful. If you can attract its interest, it should come. He'll need you to bring him some materials.

As for killing it...he's not so sure. He'll work on that while you bring him the components for his Vake-lure

Message me on Twitter using the name here if you'd like more stuff on this Ambition for the Wiki page Very Happy
