[TRAILHEAD] Love Letters to the Future Xenophile Media ARG for Upcoming UN Climate Change Conference Got a tip pointing to www.loveletterstothefuture.com
At the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference, they're going to bury a time capsule containing 100 messages to the future, voted by the community. When you submit a message for consideration, you receive a mysteeerious message from the future, with the following keyword
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Me2109
Upon entering that search term, the following message is displayed:
Quote:
What I am doing, it is illegal. I have encrypted my transmissions to cover my tracks. I have left you the keys to unlock them.
Maya, 2109
Included in the message is another "key" search term (hidden behind the next cut)
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Me2109
On that page, there is the following poem:
Quote:
I have to be cryptic
To hide my tracks. From them.
I trust you. You care.
I need you to hear what I have to say.
To see what I have to show you.
Search for my clues.
Maya, 2109

It's a line/word/letter cipher that spells out THREE THOU SAND DAYS -- making the next key "3000"???
Clicking on the asian character (hanko?) leads to a page that appears to be for unlocking videos, as long as you have the proper keyword. And that's as far as I've figured out so far.

^ I got to that site by doing a Google for the question "who who was the first to make glaciers from rocks?"
BTW, I can't unlock any videos on the "secret" site. Maybe it's just me?

Yea, I've been stuck on the hooves portion all day, I unlocked 4 video segments in a couple hours though, but this part's worse than the morse code was lol.

It does.
The trees are:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
White oak
Southern Magnolia
Olive
Redwood
European chestnut
Sweet cherry
Flowering ash
Silver maple
American sycamore
So if you simplify and rearrange them, you get
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Magnolia
Ash
Chestnut
Redwood
Oak
Cherry
Olive
Sycamore
Maple
or "macrocosm."
That unlocks another video.

So having done that, can I ask -- are we unlocking these videos collaboratively? because entering some of the words y'all have mentioned above doesn't do anything for me at all.

yes. providing the word trail helps make it seem like we aren't crazies pulling the words from nothing though.
