Finally! Everything is coming together without mystery Very Happy Okay, so for now we know the following about the upcoming events:

1.Someone is waiting for Jay at the tower. (Slendy/Masky=?Operator)
2.There IS morse code in the video (Nice job on solving that everyone)

Most likely I would presume that Slenderman is some unkown entity or demon whose territory is the woods/tower. However has anyone ever thought that he may be the angry spirit of someone killed in the forest fire, unable to be saved in time by the firemen? After all, his arms do resemble fire hoses in their shape/length, and his ability to stretch much like ladders used in the fire department.

This is just a personal feeling and I have no data to prove it, but my gut tells me that "deeper secrets" is more of the true meaning and "preceeds trees" turned out to just be a happy coincidence. TTA probably just found that anagram, thought it was clever, maybe thought about how the tower was near some trees, and went with it.

Plus with the secrets in that one entry(....I'm too lazy to go find with one. fail.)

Just reminded me of this little gem from Entry 5. Nice little factoid: When Alex says, "fire department", the heavy distortion kicks in.

So the burning trees ARE significant. Are there any ties to fire in the SM mythos? Like, he can only be killed with fire, fire is his strength/weakness, etc.?

Keep in mind, though, that the painting could be a red herring. Very doubtfully, but, there's always the chance...

Wait, whoa. Distortion also kicks in when it comes to water.

Fire, woodland areas, water..Something someone in a forest fire would see. No face, his face could have been burned off..

I really don't like the idea though, that he was once a human. It sort of..I dunno..I kind of hope it's a red herring.

Well just because he had a face doesn't mean he was human. (I mean it's very unlikely that an 8-foot tall business man just happened to get caught in a forest fire, had his face burned off, and then started stalking people. O_o)

That he was once human. Someone said something about the chance of him being a mad spirit or something. Razz

we have no idea of the [ig] origin of slendy[he was actually spawned on somethingawful]

slendy has, as far as i know, not had any links to fire, and, apart from cicumstantial[though, reoccuring quite frequently] evidence[only in MH, no ties outside of it]], no ties to water as well

It may serve as a kind of intimidation to J that the Slenderman is such an ancient entity?

Impossible...

...Where would Slenderman have gotten that suit from?

Well, he didn't say, "The tower as well as my suit precedes trees." He could have gotten the suit later. Or it could not be a real suit. Iunno.

Waaaaaay back on SA, one idea was that it's not a suit... it's his skin, in an approximation of a suit so he can blend in... *shudder*

The idea being that he changes form depending on time/culture/surroundings to blend in with the populace... to a degree.

I think it's shapeshifting. If it was a psychic paper thing (nice reference btw!) I imagine people wwould see him with a real face.
