 		Would that coincide with the finding of the tape (since he does sit there on the ladder for a few seconds), or when he finds the hole in the ground with the distortion?

EDIT: Um, I'm pretty sure it's when he found the tape in the Tower, because there was a picture of the Tower Tweeted a fair while before the garbled-ness.

Anthony, I'm thinking that it would be finding the tape. Just personal opinion, really. Although the distorted text message would seem to fit with the distortion-hole. I personally don't imagine that J would text about the distortion hole, over finding the tape.

 		I was looking at the caution tape, because I thought it said quarantine. Turned out to be false. Here are some stills anyways. One of these really caught my interest.

so whats the outline of? can you help me out here cuz i dont see it. is it Slenderman?

and one thing still gets me, why did J get audio distortion when he walked up to that hole in the ground?

 		Nobody else noticed the distortion as soon as the camera hit the ground? It was the exact same distortion as the last entry when J opened the script?

 		Someone who has good internet service or a good memory: does the distortion near the hole sound similar to any previous instances of audio distortion? At first view, for me, it sounded like the distortion attributed to Tim and possibly Masky.

I'm thinking Slender Man was around and we just didn't see him (or maybe we did catch a glimpse of him as the camera fell). The memory loss and distortion would allude to that.

 		This pretty much cemets my theory thus far- I think. Just throwing stuff out there.

Its a "The Ring" like scenario, where a person finds a tape- the tape being the one like he found in this episode- and I'm betting it will just so happen that he has to hand off his "chronicle" of the Slenderman/Masked Man haunting him, in order to break the curse. So, in other words,


Masked Man stalked Alex and gave him clues that lead him to the Tower; there Alex found the tape, Slenderman started stalking him, then he hid the tape, and gave his record to Jay. Repeat.
