Got my reply don't really know what to make of it -- it seems my answer is for the second number, and not the third.
Quote:
And so it is found,
number two was a Zero.
Those who find the next answer,
we be held as a hero.

The next is another
number of sin
one more closer to the location,
where we can begin.

ETA: I tried guessing three; here's his reply
Quote:
Three's not the answer.
No not quite yet,
After 24 but before 11
is where your answer is set.

Any takes on what is "after 24 but before 11", and is related to a sin? Hm..

If you minus 11 from 24 you get 13, the number of sin Smile

Good thinking. But time does not nessesary mean a time of the day. It could be a time in history. Like 40 b.c. or something. But give it a shot, you can not be more than wrong.

I sent him this

You have given us 40
That, I can see
But is that a Time, or a Date?
Maybe?

Is there more than one Zero?
Or is there only one?
Is the Zero significant?
Or is the significance none?

got his reply-
You've got the number 40,
which isn't a time or date.
The number isn't complete yet,
but when it is, you'll see a place.

Well, I was dead wrong, but I hope this helps Smile

Just sent this off:

Quote:
I've seen correspondence,
That leads to believe,
a location is made,
of the numbers we seek.

The number of sin,
would this be six?
The mark of the beast
can relate to the styx.

(Yes, I understand that's two different mythologies, but the correlation is there.)

I'm having a bad day in Rhymeville.

Got my response:

Quote:
For you as a soldier,
it will be easy to tell
you've already experienced
a layer of Hell.

break out your copies Of the Inferno.

I knew owning an original copy of that book would come in handy one day Smile
You see, the nine layers of Hell correspond to sins, and the ninth sin, the sin of Treachery, is the the closest I can find to a soldiers crime.
If anyone can read Old translated Italian Poetry, please tell me.
That's the best I can do, any one got anything else?

Got this one this morning.

Oh, your next number!
What could it be?
Though it isn't the answer,
in binary it's 3.

Just looked it up and Binary 3 is 0011

Just got a reply.

Three isn't the next,
although I appreciate your intention,
the next number I fear,
has already been mentioned.

It was a guess right proper,
but not at the right time.
And as for your next question,
about contacting me through rhyme.

These rhymes are doing me well,
they've been all good and fun,
but I fear once you've found the answers,
my time here will be done.

There is another player,
a friend of mine in fact,
who, once you've found the location,
will be your next contact.

I guessed 11, because of the binary, and because in Gehanna (a sort of hell, I guess) you can only stay 11 months. I don't think I'm on the right track though, because of that above 24 and less than 11 thing.

If you're going for Inferno, I'd go with the first ring of the seventh circle (17?) - that's of violence, and that's where Alexander the Great and other soldiers of fame would be. The ninth ring is for traitors and treason, which is completely different.

I asked if we're looking for single digit numbers or if they can be larger multiple digit numbers, too.

Just noting that the 24-11 thing would mean a number between 1 and 10, in the 24-hour time system.

I'm horrible at riddles. And I don't have any copy of the Inferno, either Razz

COOL! I got one. Smile
I sent him this with the subject Prime (I suck at the rhymes)

Quote:
prime

i want to guess that the number is seven
not after 24 but before eleven
it's a level of hell
and a sin that will tell

His reply
Quote:
Seven it is!
Another number from religion,
but your next clue isn't Christian
but has a more chaotic vision.

Than another reply
Quote:
407

407 could be an area code. Maybe.

Um...
'7' in binary is '111'.
So, "in binary it's 3." makes no sense since '3' in binary is '11'.

I sent my answer in before the binary clue was posted. But he said "Though it isn't the answer, in binary it's 3."
7 = 111, which is 3 ones.
Maybe. Wink

Three's not the answer,
in any way shape or form.
And aside from fun, there's a prize to win
but also a message to warn.

Not much, but it still gives us a story. We have to be warned about something.
