ok, sent this...(decided against trying to rhyme again)...
Quote:
from the other ryhmes i've gathered, red is dead and seven is heaven at the start there were 2 they made 2 more, but after the eve of bloodshed a sacrifice was made what once was 4 became 3.

got this back...
Quote:
Close you are indeed,
although you over think.
Do not rush to fast to shore,
or else you'll surely sink.

As to 23:

The number isn't 23,
that's far too many kin.
To find that answer that you seek,
one past original sin.

Jumping In
CANNONBALL

I sent this at first to whitegreyblackgreywhite or w/e lol BTW not a poem

You say in a poem your fovaorite color is White Grey Black Gray White, but none of these said colors are colors, they are merely shades of light, Black being the absence of, White being the presence of and grey the inbetween. It occurs to me this color schemes forms a mirror as well...My favorite color is Red and Silver, if you must know, yes, that means it's a tie.

I got back:

Color is objective,
as it's a product of light.
In color black is everything,
in light, everything white.

And then i just sent this:

So what lies in gray?
This I must ask
As I beleive it may
Help me accomplish my task
And one more question
is what I have for you
Does every message
You send have a clue?
I refer not to just mine
But to the other players as well
Can I win this game by myself
Or must I listen to what others have to tell

IN LINE EDIT

I got this back as I was writing:

You must listen to the others,
Although I've made quite sure,
Given time and patience,
you shouldn't need rely on more.

And sent this:

I thanks for your guidance
And again stress on RED
It's the color of violence
And the blood of the dead
Also called the color of love
Thought it has caused great pain
For an apple from above
Is what doomed man
As for a time
I suggest the begining
Where began mine
and all others sinning
The place, a garden
Where no others can be in
But we are all part of
THE GARDEN OF EDEN

Got it - it was four.

Quote:
Ah! You're very clever.
Four horses they do ride,
and those who paid attention,
would have counted my lines.
Eve Adam Cain and Abel,
before he slew his brother dead.
Four is your first clue,
more numbers I will send.

I know, right?

I pushed for some more info, but got brushed off in response.

But to give it to you now,

Well stupid me after getting a negative response to the number 1 and seeing the post about the number seven before jumped the gun before reading on and sent this:

After more research
I think you refer to Cain and Able
So the number 7
Is what I bring to the table

then i read the post about it being wrong FORHEAD SLAPPED big time

BTW should we all send the number 4 or just wait...

This old fool lays amiss
Left out of the fun
No reply did he receive
No no, not one.

But a keen eye has he
And noticed something far sweeter
Ol' White White here
Speaks in iambic heptameter.

Alright, I'll stop now. I'm a bad poet, too. XD But, yeah. Our riddle-maker here seems to speak in groups of four lines with approximately 7 syllables each, in iambic form. May not be important, but I noticed this because the Gravemind from Halo speaks the same way

I replied to the original email with

Quote:
red purple blue purple red

Maybe it wasn't creative enough, but I haven't gotten a response. :<

Just sent mine out...
Quote:
"As always I'm late for the party,
'tis frequently, verily true.
Still friend, consider my answer,
Naturally. Factually. Blue."

Not my best work, but it's late/early and I just got off work. Trying to get into a new game, since my first ARG experience has gotten off to an incredible... stop. Doing my best to keep my motivation up.

I got a response too (recieved it at 2:20 gmt, so I'm not sure if it's part of the first or second clue.)

Quote:
In perception and in light, you love the color blue.
If you follow the wavelengths of your heart, at the start, your favorite hue.
A double sided blade, sad but royal too,
If you look deeply you might find two of the first clue.

The structure of it is a bit different to the others. Each line of the poem seems to have two clauses (right word?)

"two of the first clue" could it be that it's approximately twice as long as the other poems?

Sent by White White

EDIT: Two of the first clue could men two fours? Eight?

EDIT 2: I guessed eight, and sent back this;

Quote:
The first clue was four, that I won't debate,
But twice the first clue, the answer is eight?
So if I am right, this gives us a code,
four, eight then what? What else should we know?

EDIT 3: I got this back
Quote:
Eights not the answer,
though your math is astute.
You might find this answer
to be more minute.

So smaller than eight it seems.

EDIT 4: I think I got it, the answer is two I think (though I was wrong last time) So I sent off;

Quote:
My answer was eight,
but my reason was weak.
Perhaps number two,
is the answer you seek?

Sorry about all of the edits :]

i'm a little late but I just got off work.
here is the response I got from the initial email.

If you're clever with numbers, I'm clever with rhyme
If you're clever with both, there's a secret to find.
I won't give it away for free, I shouldn't be so bold.
But at the end of everything, a prize to have and hold.

I see now that we've come to the conclusion that the first number is 4.

Good work guys!

Ok guys, anyone else thinking the four horsemen of the apocolypse?

The red horse was the second, and the only colour the PM left out of his email. if you do them in order of the colour of the horses based on his e-mail adress we get 1,4,3,4,1.

Don't know if this means anything to anyone but i hope it helps.

Edit: Thought 1,4,3,4,1 looked reminiscent of an infinite series. Did the math got -3. Remove the three we get 1,4,4,1. Looks like a ratio. Googled 14:41 Got a passage from a bible. Sent him:

Quote:
1,4,3,4,1
The numbers of your name
with red, two being missing
and three can be disregarded the same.

Mark 14:41
Returning the third time, he said to them, "Are you still sleeping and resting? Enough! The hour has come. Look, the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
