 		Oh, sure. Just as I'm using the thread to try out some ideas that I see as being more than tangentially relevant. I probably should have joined Unfiction back when I got into the series instead of reading and skimming but never throwing in two cents here and there. Very Happy

Consider the fact that, by mid-season 1 (around Entry #19) Jay announced that he has been recording himself all the time - every day. So it can be fair to assume that, every time he's ever encountered the Operator (in ANY Entry), it's been while he was recording. And, he had never encountered it before Entry #23, just four entires after he announced his new system. That seems sort of coincidental, sure, but again - it fits.

Memory issues are the biggest hole in the theory, but it isn't too far-fetched to consider Alex and Jay safe participants in this (because they both film/ed constantly). I'm just saying that the idea can work, if not loosely.

Well, he'd never encountered it between Entry #1 and Entry #23. I can't help but wonder whether he had encountered it in 2006 an had his memory wiped. Alex at least tried to get rid of Jay back then (as Entry #73 shows). Can't help but wonder whether it was because he was under TO's influence or because Jay had done something...
