Somehow I managed to go to sleep last night.

Here, the Internet was "invented" just a few years ago. We are only allowed to view pages that either were created here or are deemed fit for consumption. As you may have guessed, most are closed off to us. Even in the cast of "good" sites, our connections are closely sniffed.

Our living units are very small versions of what you could just barely call a house. We don't have many material possessions. Food and other necessities are rationed and in short supply, despite the supposedly high standard of living portrayed by materials put out by them, like that poster. The laptop, in fact, is one of the few modern conveniences we have, and it contrasts greatly with the rest of the room, and our lives.

Kevin lives somewhere that a USB stick can slide under the door- sounds like a dorm or hotel. But this is also a place where someone can peep in at the window and where Kevin can keep an eye on his his own particular garbage which presumably is traceable back to him.

Looking up from japanese dictionary

First symbol is either:

And second:

I can't seem to figure out what the 2 last symbols mean. I need to check the chinese dictionary also for this as most of the kanji are used on both languages with different meanings.

Actually it is just 2 characters.

If you compose the two first radicals together. In chinese you get XIAO1 which means:
melt, fuse; market, sell ; to pass time, finish, cancel

I still can't find the meaning of other character.

Meaning: destroy by burning/melting.

I'm tempted to say that the characters would be Japanese just because of the "Mashimisho" website (which seems to fit Japanese much rather than Chinese)

From my limited knowledge in Japanese the first character means "chain" and the second "break"

Hi guys, I am a Chinese. These 2 characters combined means "Destroy" in English. It's as simple as that.

Edit:

As a bonus I run the words in Google Translate.

If run it as Chinese To English, Google Translate says "Destruction".

If run it as Japanese To English, Google Translate gives the input as the result (i.e. unable to translate).

If run it as Detect Language To English, Google Translate gives Destruction, and its Dictionary gives verb: 1. destroy, 2. ruin
