Marbel Hornets DVD:Ideas?

Just checking to see what we should do in terms of the DVD idea.

-should we include TTA at the end or the beginning?
-put the entire series on one disc or seperate ones?
-should every member of the forum get a free copy?

throwing this out there so we can discuss this now and later on we can improve on our ideas.

1: There should be a DVD for the Entries and then one for TTA's responses, explaining which Entry they correspond to, of course.

2: Why would everyone here get a free one? Then people would join just to get a DVD. Perhaps if you joined before a certain date you get a free one.

Meh.

1. Maybe we add in the totheark entries after the entry they correspond to.

2. Why not just give players who joined before a certain date a discount instead of a free copy?

1: Good idea, I was also thinking that.
2: -shrug- That is the more likely possibility, but I know I would prefer a free copy.

if TC is acctually considering doing this, make it so "Watch All" does entries in order, with J's title cards. TTA right after the entry TTA responded to.

We shouldn't have to pay for it unless the profits go to the creators.

1. Let the guys who made the series make their own DVD of the series if they want to. I'd buy that. They'd probably include the TTA messages.

2. For the entertainment we get from them, they DESERVE the money they get from DVDs of the thing, as well as the Youtube partnership.

3. Marble. MARBLE. LE. Not EL. Marble.

RE: 3.
Haha, i just noticed that, I was going to post it.

Also, they should add in some of J's Twitter updates, just the ones that helped advance the story.

I like the idea of having The "Watch All" having the Totheark videos after the video they were a response to. Then a commentary explaining stuff Very Happy

Oh, and, we gotta make sure we spell "Marble" right. Wink

...You have it for free. It's on YouTube. That's free.

If the creators decide to make a DVD once the series is finished, any price set for it will undoubtedly bring in very little actual profit, since this is by no means a wide-release film or anything. They'll have to independently create, advertise, sell, and mail DVDs, or have an undoubtedly huge commission fee with an outside entity. Either way, they'll be making very little profit per sale. Plus, as far as anyone knows, this is an independent enterprise with no budget or outside funding -- which means the creators are already paying all expenses from their own pockets. That's not an insignificant amount -- something like this takes time and equipment. And considering you ALREADY have the whole thing available to you for free, right there on the internet whenever you want it, it's pretty absurdly selfish of you to expect any kind of reduced fee or FREE merchandise JUST for being a fan earlier than someone else was.

This isn't a seekrit fanklub here. Either you appreciate the work enough to pay for it, or you shut up and watch it on YouTube. Being part of a forum about it, or being a follower early on in its publication, doesn't make you special or better than anyone else.

YES. I could easily download them and slap em on a few Cds, take an old Cookie Crips box, glue some crap on there, and call it the DVD collection that only I got.
