Yes the $20 joke is over used and anyone that hears $20 or the club said anywhere or shown anywhere will point it out and el oh el. Still doesn't mean you should give up hope. There still are some good users on here.

This

But I still think it's OK IF you use it sparingly, instead of every chance you get

Yeah man, lighten up. I can agree that the meme has been driven to the ground, though. I just found it funny that this game is called The Club and there's a guy in a suit on the cover with his eyes marked out.

I really don't find the joke as ubiquitous as some people say it is. Maybe its because I don't spend as much time per week/day here, but who knows.

I get it, there are a lot of meme-happy folks here. Just remember you're visitors in a forum dedicated to the analysis of ARGs - it's not the other way around.

MarbleHornets is a slow mover, and most of us have taken that as a cue to use the unfiction forum for the off-topic rather than analysis. Makes sense I guess - there isn't really a lot to analyze in this game. We've got quite a few unanswered questions, but only new footage will lead to the answers. What else can we do in these forums besides hang out? Fine, except there are still those who come here looking for ARG analysis. We aren't really using the 300+ page trailhead to uncover mysteries anymore. Why get mad at someone for pointing that out?

Memes and 'shops are fun, but they're increasing the gaps between helpful posts. Dozens of pages are generated every day - most of which are off-topic fluff. Again, if you're enjoying it then the fluff isn't a bad thing...for you. Don't forget there are other people in this forum. Some of those people are actually interested in those on-topic posts. The off-topic chat makes it hard to find the content, and that can get frustrating.

If you're into the memes and the chatting, don't get offended when someone points out you're misusing the forums. You are misusing the forums. I understand why, but it doesn't make it less true. While you're here, try to respect the unfiction rules. If you're not comfortable with those rules, you could create your own forum on a different site. Good luck.

And suddenly the forums have become a cold, unwelcoming place.
