I realize whoever is behind it surely has to be aware of both those groups - the WOW guild or whatever, and the mob/Serbian terrorist group but let me point this out in a meta sense:

The email contained references to a date far into the future, an Act protected by the USC for Human Evolution, when there is no such factual legislation, focused on technologies relevant to research..but most of all, it contained a ROT13 cipher concealing a recruiting scheme...and the recipient headed for UF. All of that would suggest it's fiction, so that, for me eliminates any mob/Serbian terror group because I seriously doubt they're trolling recruitment on an ARG forum Smile


I'm not fully convinced it's not related to the WOW game or whatever that is, just because of the initial explanation and their recruiting program, and that's apparently what this BHC is doing. If the ones that get in are all WOW players then that'll clear it up.


I do have one more curious observation though. If the PM is recruiting players, as most do on here they want players involved, so it's curious that they'd deny people right off like that. That MO is again familiar but I'll leave it at that.


So far, no word either way.

I don't think it's necessarily aimed at WoW players (although I am one). There's no Blackhand clan in the game, but there is a "clan" of Blackhands - the original just being named "Blackhand." He had 2 sons and 1 daughter - Rend, Maim, and Griselda - who subsequently took on "Blackhand" as their surname. The original Blackhand was made the warchief (aka leader) of the Horde faction during the First War between Stormwind (one of the major Alliance cities, capital of the humans) and the Horde.

Blackhand was directly linked to and manipulated by the legendary warlock Gul'dan. Blackhand offered up almost all of his shamans to Gul'dan so they could fight against the draenei (and were also turned in to the horde's first warlocks [which would account for the "providing resources" part of the original e-mail as well as "exceeding natural limitations" as both shamans and warlocks..which ALSO harkens back to the spiritual/religious/paranormal questions]), as well as having his own children's ages accelerated (presumably through black magic/witchcraft) so they could be battle-ready. The Shadow Council was a group of warlocks that served the demons of the Burning Legion (army of demons/corrupt beings).



Seeing as how I began writing this post hours ago, forgot about it, and just went to finish it, I either left a lot out or most of what I remembered is a little cluttered. Bear with me. :p

All of the languages that the "goodbye" message are written in (so far) have been French, Italian, Spanish, and Catalan. I don't know if it's safe to assume that Catalan is more or less a dialect of French or closely related to it, but language aside, all of these countries are geographically next to each other, all bordering at least 1 other country.


Also, upon just OCD filing of the international locations:

They are located across 7 separate countries (Italy, France, Spain, England/United Kingdom, Egypt, Netherlands, Greece).

Of those 7, 3 have 1 area where the corporation is located (being Greece, England, and Netherlands). Of those 3, the single location is placed in each country's respective capital of Athens, London, and Amsterdam.

Of the remaining 4, 3 have locations in 2 separate areas (being Italy, France, and Egypt).
Italy: Milan is the capital of the region of Lombardia and of the providence of Milan. Rome is the capital of Italy as a whole.
France: Paris is the capital of France as a whole and it's most populated city. Saint Tropez is located in South France along the French Riviera and seems like a small yet very rich town, being referred to as a commune. It has gained notoriety for being a destination of many wealthy and famous people around the world.
Egypt: Cairo is the capital of Egypt and the largest city in N. Africa and the Arab world. Luxor was formerly known as Thebes, the old capital of Egypt, in BC years. Some ancient temple ruins still stand in the center of the city.

Spain houses 3 separate locations for the corporation:
Madrid: Largest city and capital of Spain. Located roughly in the heart of the country. Very high-traffic city.
Ibiza: Island South-East off the coast of Spain apart of a trio of islands. Third largest (out of 4) of the Balearic Islands. Heavily relies on tourism as a source of income to the area, much like St. Tropez.
Pamplona: Capital city of Navarre, a region in N. Spain in which the running of the bulls takes place.
