Obviously J's getting increasingly paranoid. He set up a complex camera system to film his every waking moment, and has been reviewing the footage for anomalies. He saw something weird and posted it, but the "something weird" was that he couldn't find himself on the camera for several hours. Hm, sounds familiar..filming himself constantly, flipping out when he's not being filmed...I think we can all agree that J has transformed into early/mid-stage MH Alex. So far, the biggest difference between their paranoid behaviors is that J is keeping the lines of communication open with a large audience.

NYC_Jester is right - that last sentence is just begging for a new totheark post in a few days.

 		I hope that TTA backs off long enough for Jay to get some breathing space. It would make sense that TTA would smack him down for his petty assumptions that he can get on with his life, but it seems like TTA had him cornered... and it seems to me like TTA's MO is to put Jay into a tight situation and then leave him inexplicably safe and sound for a little while. First in a bodily sense (waking up on the side of the road and then in his own house after nasty business) now maybe in a psychological sense?! I don't know...

I'm just hoping for a good end. XD *ever optimistic*

Actually, it just looks like he's trying to convince himself. Hoping against hope that it's a glitch, in the way people do when they don't want to believe something is true. We'll see.

Actually, it just looks like he's trying to convince himself. Hoping against hope that it's a glitch, in the way people do when they don't want to believe something is true. We'll see.


This is what I got from it, too. I'm thinking TTA is going to make a response that just messes with him. "Ain't no glitch up in here fool!"

Exactly what I thought when I first read it. Especially considering we're getting pretty overdue for a response from him.

He always seems to update when I'm in a class where I'll get my phone confiscated if I take it out, so I have to be all ninja-like about checking it. :v

May be important or not.

In Introduction, the image gets blurred for a second or two, around 1.26-1.28. Nothing suspicious is seen, though. Also, the noise from the road or whatever the sound is, becomes a bit different (but just that road noise, nothing more) several times during the video.
Entry 2. So if this was the first encounter, why did Alex bring a camera if he was driving alone to see if the tall man was still there? Didn't he start filming himself after he understood he was being stalked?
Entry 3. Twelve tapes? And seven clips? In the first clips, the papers Alex was going through may be either the script or the drawings, and that may somehow explain the tear. In the third clip (buying the cassettes), have only I heard a small cough? Also, the last clip with the phone call seems somewhat mysterious too.
Entry 4. In one of the first Slendy photos ever, he was shown at a playground. And if Alex still follows Slendy instead of running from him, that must be a bit after Entry 2.
Entry 5. They were talking about filming Brian alone, reflecting at the gazebo, and then "I'm thinking about maybe putting in a..." - and here comes the distortion. When it ends, the words are "we'll have 'em like reflect". So maybe they were talking about putting in someone else? Or if there was something Slendy-like about the script... Now that the next distortion is when the stream is shown - connection to water. When the new location is shown, there is a small cough too at some time...
Entry 7. There is a lot about cars in MH too. Maybe Slendy doesn't see anyone who is inside a car? But Alex leaned out for a moment in this entry.
Entry 8. There is "SPEAKS TO ME" in the drawings. Maybe there's a reason why the sound is cut out.


Also, the bonfire, the painting with the fire, "burn them"... maybe, there is something about fire as much as about water?

In Entry 3, are you referring to the clip where he looks out the window, picks up his phone, and then picks up the camera? He is using his cell phone as a timer to know when the tape on his camera is about to run out, so that he can switch the tape right when it runs out.
But I really like what you mentioned about cars. It explains why the opening of the door was included in entry 7, and if I'm not mistaken we see the first distortion in that video immediately after he opens it. Also, in entry 2, he doesn't see slendy while he's in the car, and then the tape runs out shortly after opening the door. Significant?

Well, it makes sense, however I'm not too sure about the tape running out in entry #2 being significant. There's a possibility, but I still think it's just coincidence.

Also, I don't think Entry #2 is the first encounter. I would say it's Entry #12, since Alex doesn't seem particularly frightened of SM and even shouts at him to get off the set. He doesn't seem to have any particular interest in SM at this point, whereas by Entry #2, Alex seems to have picked up on the fact that there's something odd about him/her/it.

 		Tekyro- don't mind at all. And entry 12 being before entry 2 does make a lot of sense. Just seeing a really tall guy doesn't make me want to go get a camera and come back. As far as the tape running out being "significant", I don't mean to imply that Slendy messed up the camera or anything, just that the creators of Marble Hornets chose to have the camera run out of tape for a reason. Specifically, to make it ambiguous as to what happened after the tape ran out, and whether or not Slendy ever did show up. Maybe there was something significant after the tape ran out, such as a direct encounter with Slendy, that made Alex so paranoid afterwards?

I've thought about it too. Well, we haven't ever seen Slendy even come too near to a car. And when J went to the red tower much later, the way was closed so that he just had to go, not drive. That's definitely something...

 		Why would Slendy be able to broadcast distortion through house walls and not through doors? Oh snap, cars are supposed to be decent to hide in during lightning storms/lose power cables, aren't they? If Slendy has some weird electrical inclinations then that could explain things!

That would make a lot of sense. That would explain the visual and audio distortions that we've seen.
