I just watched Entry 20 with my volume up real loud to try and hear exactly what everyone was saying. I forgot about the audio distortion and had a mini-heart attack. fffffffff this series. ;_;

I'm enjoying lurking this entry instead of diving in and trying to pick it apart. There's just something that's not as satisfying, bringing things up hours after the fact instead of straight as the video goes up, y'know?

I'm having a few thoughts regarding the content, but overall I was surprised and pleased with the way that this episode went. I still don't see Jay as having so much money as to hang around in a hotel for three weeks (likely longer, now!) so that throws me off, but the fact that these guys found a clip and edited it around like this was genius. Totally answers the discussion that GnomonRose and I were having, earlier, about forest fires and how the eff they'd manage to show a blaze when such a thing would be so much trouble. Good scouring skills, good editing skills, and no wonder it took some time to put this together!

Also dissing the people who spout that this is just filler. Guys, Jay's HOUSE is BURNED DOWN. It crosses out the possibility that Jay is going to be able to return to his home to barricade himself in again, (unless time travel IS involved ) so we know that the story isn't going to go into some kind of recursive loop of Jay getting chased off like a scared pheasant, returning to roost, getting scared off again, etc. His life has been impacted in a very permanent way. Control IS being taken away from him, along with his worldly possessions! If that's what you'd consider filler, I don't want to know what the 'oh, crap' content you're looking for is. o_o

This was unexpected, which I very much like. I always thought TTA was insane, but I wasn't accounting for the fact that he could do something this drastic. This shows that TTA is a very "means to an end" sort of guy - he wants Jay so badly that he's willing to endanger other, innocent people too. This leaves the question of where Jay is going to go - I'm sure Masky would be happy to put him up for a while... *cringe*.

I hope this means that the action will pick up a bit, but I guess we'll see. Expecting one badass TTA video.

I'm still in the process of trying to tie this video up with other videos/clues. Maybe I'll ramble about that later. :v

So what do you suppose the TTA video will be? For some reason I had expected him to go completely silent after that 'playing games' thing in ######. As if he'd dropped the youtube account entirely.

I think that if he does make a reply (and that does make sense) it will be a 'you can't go home. You might as well start for X, Y, and Z'. It's not as though he's going to go burn down Jay's hotel, now! XD

I'd like to see a video of TTA filming himself starting the fire, just to sort of rub it in J's face and clarify that "yes, I did that. What now bitch?" Like a boss.

TTA knows that Jay is loaded, so he needs our protagonist to pay for whatever junk he wants to buy from the ark, obviously!

Seriously, though, that's a big question. I think that if TTA replies, it's probably going to be less of a smug 'HAW haw' (ala Nelson), and more of a "This is how far I am willing to go to motivate you. Now follow X, Y, and Z." that's assuming that TTA started the blaze. If Slendy started it, perhaps a "you see why you have to do my bidding? I saved your life, dude, you owe me one, now get to that ark, capiche!?"

Jay probably knows more about what the hell this ark thing is than he's letting on, by the way. He's been shown to keep things from the internet before. He could just as easily know about the ark, and know enough about it's importance that he won't post wantonly about it.

Good point. I think that Jay is still "keeping secrets", because I don't think the fact that Jay has been videotaping himself is enough to warrant TTA's attention.

What if Alex started the fire, while trying to burn the tapes?

IRL, I wonder if Alex is still part of the acting crew.

Even if Alex-actor isn't part of the crew right now, I'm sure that he'll get dragged back... he signed up for a pretty big part! XD Also, he did a great job in the earlier tapes and in #22 being all shell-shocked and pissy. He's probably just lurkin' the crew or helping with the editing or something.

Graf: I think that we're starting to see how Jay's part fits into all of this madness, which is fantastic, really! He starts off being an outside observer who posts in an SA thread: "Woah, I think my friend might have been involved in something weird like this... lemme check." and he's beginning to show some kinda proclivity towards being really deeply involved. To holding keys of some sort. That's more than I'd've expected from him when I first started watching MH...

Now we're just waiting to see what keys he's holding that warranted TTA's attention to begin with. ^_^

I don't know, I'm slightly disappointed with this entry; I was hoping to get frightened--I mean I understand the skill and effort the guys put into this and I appreciate it, but...

The only reason I'm not finding the fire itself to be frightening, is because of the purported "cause" of the fire. I am confused as to why the guys would leave this detail in the report, if they went through so much trouble to manipulate it to fit the story. When the reporter says that it started in a woman's apartment, and she actively tried to put it out, it makes me as a viewer feel that Jay's apartment in particular wasn't targeted; if it was, why didn't the reporter say that the cause was "unknown" or "originated in an abandoned apartment." The way the report plays makes it seem as if it was a simple kitchen fire that got out of hand.

What I'm saying is that it would have been easier and much more frightening, if the guys just inserted some "slendy interference" during that part. If the reporter was like, "The cause of the fire STATIC STATIC SLENDY INTERFERENCE" and then the report went back to normal, I think that would have been much more terrifying and would make the scenario more believable that Masky had something to do with it.

At the least, I hope we get a response soon, that maybe shows Masky setting the fire in the woman's apartment, or maybe the woman's apartment is SARAH'S? Hahaha, yeah I know, most definitely not happening.

It is a weird point to keep in. Maybe they couldn't think of a logical reason to slenderference the cause of the fire out of the report, seeing as how Jay was already editing out names and places.

On the other hand, Jay went so far as to mention that the report seemed to be having trouble towards the end on twitter. So it should have been easy enough to include a slightly different kind of interference or garbling.

Yeah, actually, I agree with you, now that I think of it. It does seem to put you off a little (and I briefly thought of Sarah as well when a woman was brought up. She kind of seemed like the sort who might think that putting a towel on a large fire would smother it...)
