When they cut to that scene when the fire was taking place... the cameraman walked past a large pole and not Slender Man, right? o_o You know what moment I'm talking about?

We're know what you're talking about; current fan consensus is that it is, in fact, Mr. Thin.

It is? I think it's a tree or a pole. Camera tearing usually takes place anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes before we ever see Slendy. I don't remember a time where it tears right as the camera's panned over him!

Has it ever occurred after his appearance? Since I don't see any visual tearing while he's on-screen and in fact, it looks like it stars straight after~!

I can't remember, and don't have time to go through the entries again right now. :\ Part of the reason that I'm not compiling screen-shots for the people who won't do it, themselves.

Actually, Entry #13- while having audio distortion/loss and regular cuts- doesn't show any signs of Slender Man's signature visual tearing.

Was there any visual tearing in entry #11? I don't remember any.

Maybe the tearing is actually a sign of Masky? ._.

Or the mask itself?

I think if the mask itself was teartastic, we would have gotten visual tearing when J exited the closet in #23.

Masky himself could've been in the house in entry #1 and other entries where he doesn't appear, especially since a lot of them are of Alex staying at Brian's house.

Nah, in TTA's videos showcasing the MM, there's no visual tearing. In #19, the 'frames' go nuts but it's not the same phenomenon as the visual tearing thing that we tend to see in other entries. If Masky is Tim, it seems like his interference-related shenanigans tend towards blurring and a bit of that prickling static noise (both in sound and visually.) Could be that the mask emphasizes that, but he seems to pull the pumped contrast and/or blurring thing instead of the tearing.

Surprised

It is unlikely that the visual tearing is caused by the mask or the person behind it.

For example, Entry #1 takes place far before the introduction of Masky and features notable visual tears which are cited a few entries later. Entry #3, #4 and #7 are similar.

Speaking of which, I have heard some claim that Slendy is viewable in Entry #5, but I can't see where. Could someone point this out to me, as it marks what is likely the earliest chronological appearance of Slendy.

@BranRainey; who do you propose is Masky, if all cases of visual tearing are caused by him? In addition, Occam's Razor indicates that it's probably Slendy who causes the visual tearing.

Entry 5? When Alex point to The Red Tower, pause before the cameraman zooms in on it. To the left, you can see Slender Man. I don't know the actual time of the appearance, so you'll have to watch carefully when The Red Tower is onscreen.

Could also be an 'either or' situation. I think that what we need to know (and what everyone's gotten, thankfully) was that one or both of Jay's stalker-club was present during the time of the torching, and had the gall to stick around and watch it burn.

I still think it'd be hilarious if the home video that we're seeing is from TTA. XD Not in disguise at the time of course. There are a few people glancing the cameraman's way in the home video but not enough to suggest 'wtf is that dude wearing a mask for?'

Not as bad as the time "Masky" left me an answer phone message at 2am telling me "Slender Man's in my pint!" THAT caused serious confusion when I woke up.
