I just chose that medium for three reasons.

1) I'm a HUUUGE drama nerd, just like a few others on here Razz

2) I like writing

3) There are a lot of people I know who would be interested in doing a Slenderman musical..

Now, I need to go find somebody to write the music.. and lyrics.... and script.

 		been lurking for a while but going to start posting finally. im hooked on this series, its so good, and thrilling, and terrifying. haha.

the new tweet definitely means something. i think this "jay giving up" thing is just part of the story and they will keep giving us little bits and hints to keep us interested for a while. something big is definitely going to happen i think. stoked!

If Jay won't respond himself, either Masky will visit again, or SM will pay a call. If tta is a man and a woman, & maybe Sarah is one the Maskies, perhaps she will take pity on him, and/or strongly push him to act one way or another.

The symbol that we have been discussing is not what we've been saying it is. I'm a master of music ed and I can vouch for it.
The symbol is called the "segno" or sign, and it is used to tell a musician to skip to that place in the music where the sign is.

The phrase "D. S. al coda" indicates to jump there, and then play to the coda marking.
The circle or oval with a plus or cross through it -- not an X -- is the coda symbol, and it is the place where the last concluding section of the music is. "Coda" means "tail" and this tail only wags once.

The link above shows this clearly.
Not to be pedantic. . .but that's my training!

However--the symbol in the videos is more like the "segno" or sign.
Does it mean that we need to come back to this sign from a previous "D.S." indication later on??

About those who are considered "gone"
From the Warning video, it seems (though we might not be able to trust what the writing says)
1. Alex is alive
2. Alex has video equipment
3. (probably) Alex either has someone purchasing video tapes for him, or can himself go out into the public nearby his town and buy tapes personally.

Wow!So that might mean that those who are listed before by Alex as "gone" can at least appear in public to be rational beings.

Also, someone, probably or possibly Alex Kralie, has mad video skills and equipment and is not so far gone as to be unable to use them in creative ways.

Also, Alex seems to be able to interact with Masky at very close range, and also that (I suppose) the shifty eyes thing was Masky goofing around for the camera. . .also a possible sign of non-insanity... (unless he's so far gone that he has gone gonzo and cannot control his eyes, but still lets Alex take the videos right up in his face).

Now--we only have Alex's own statement at the end of his MH stage of taking vids that these people are "gone." (can't recall the list right now, but) Sarah is mentioned in the list as being "gone" but aside from this one mention, I don't see that there is any other indication that Sarah personally has either 'gone' (as in left the area) or "gone" to the 'SM dark side'. The others, to different extents, are only reported gone; they are not for sure gone otherwise, to our specific and clear knowledge.

So any of these 'goners' are potentially able to do things in the ordinary world, I surmise--work computers, shop for food and supplies, buy bottled water and medicine. . .

and nobody can tell they're either in league with SM, controlled by him, fighting against him, driven mad by him, or anything. . . .!!

That is important, I ween!

Please, MHers, tell me what you think about this!

This may be indicative that, able to act normally, they also can have human reactions and feelings. . .and want to help Jay and fight SM!

This leads to a whole lot of other questions. Again, these hinge on the idea of one-hour videotapes.

Here are my notes on the topic:

How does Jay, and did Alex, normally sleep these days? Like Alex: with alarms each hour, to change tapes? (assumption based on early tape of randomness--#3 I think)

* When we see Alex buying tapes, he only buys three--right? Far from enough for even one day--unless they were longer,
* OR HE WAS RETAPING OVER EMPTY (uneventful) TAPES.
* Even a hundred tapes--as Jay has mentioned in a reply--would barely cover 4 days, if each can only tape 1 hour.
* Ergo: likely the hundred or so tapes were mostly all keepers from a longer period: they all held some element that Alex felt was important. However, Jay seems initially to have concluded that much of it was of no consequence, so he might have missed things that he should return to.
* Also ergo: though the tapes with random things like purchases and working at the desk were seen as uneventful, they were on a tape that DID contain something more significant--that may have been missed by J.
*
o and also, OOG, they serve a couple of plot/story points the player should know, in a metafictional way.


Friends, I wanted to apologize, though nobody has replied, for my slip. I see that the beginning of that video about "three hours" specifically said that the video was not on tape, but on a hard drive. My bad!

HOWEVER!!
The other reflections here stand. Alex WAS using tapes, and the estimate of only about a hundred tapes in no way can be enough for his constant tapings, unless he was reusing tapes that he felt were insignificant.

And anyhow, he seems to be buying not three tapes but maybe three sets of tapes; possibly 3 sets of three, or nine tapes, possibly, then only 9 hours of his life could have been recorded on these tapes, since he seems to have been basically taping 24/7 (even when sleeping; he may even have changed his tapes each hour at night too!)
Please let me know if I've had another duh moment on this. . .or if it seems to have meaning!
