I will say it again. Not stolen. We (Green, Erebus, and I) had the idea in the CHAT. besides, YOUR idea was a forum dedicated to MH, while ours is dedicated to SM.

Can someone explain? :S

It started with this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iUN_7Iopmak

I always thought this was the original : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hs8UFkuZyGU

Just seemed more fitting with the whole style.

I'm really weirdly embarrassed about having made this. Someone needs to start a new bandwagon for people to jump on. I'm sick half to death of this joke and it's partially my fault.

Don't be. Yes, some people turned it into a bandwagon and some others are butthurt about it. But it IS a pretty funny joke. Razz

Actually, the original idea never specified that it would only be for specifically Marble Hornets. I talked of moving info over to a new site, yes, but never made the narrow statement of including only Marble Hornets-relevant data. Quite frankly, I also never specified what data was to be moved. All other Slendy material would have been moved as well. Still an idea-jack, imo.

Atroxious and I were talking about UnFiction and MarbleHornets. (and this actually was her idea first, I believe) To cut to the chase: what does everyone think about having our own site? We would have our own Invisionfree (or another type) site, where we have our own space, mods, rules, etc. It'll also be completely our doing, which is an incentive within itself.

The biggest issue we thought of is getting everyone from *here* to *there*. We have a lot invested here, so it would be a lot to relocate everyone and anything information we need.

What does everyone think?

In my experience, forum jumping never works. People grow accustomed to one thing and kind of stick with it. Me thinks, although it's a good idea, most people would just end up using BOTH forums for the same thing

I always thought this was the original of the 20 Dollas joke.

That was the original sentiment, I thought. I see now that Atrox and I should have just made it on our own, instead of asking, getting that response, then leaving it open for others to take up.

Ok, well, I'm not going to engage in this "he said, she said" bull crap. We made the forum, you didn't, let it go.

This stuff should be in the community thread, no? That's what the thread is for.

Meh. I don't think it matters in the end who made the forum. It's not like the first person to do so gets an award. I said what I said just because I like doing fake overreactions. Doesn't need to be a real argument, though.

As for the 20 dollaz joke, I still think it's funny. I just think that the people who don't like it never liked it, and replaying it all the time got on their nerves. Admittedly, the more variations on a joke is used, the harder it is to keep it amusing, but I don't think it got there quite yet. At least not for me.

Keep in mind that this is coming from a 21-year-old whose least favourite genre of music is rap. So you guys' explanations about how you're too old to like it, or the song is too terrible to find amusing don't exactly work. Sorry, guys.

Agreed. I've had people try to make new forums and move communities to them countless times in my experience, and again it's never worked.

I'm just gonna say... I love this forum. We need a mod, or two even, but it remains one of the better communities I've been in from an enjoyment standpoint. I'm not going anywhere.

Correct. And that is why I moved it over to where it belongs. (it, in this case, being the argument about mods which was in the Discussion thread)

And maybe it's just me, but suddenly people are incredibly impatient. As I said in the other thread--just because I'm not on twenty-four-seven to move a conversation or lock a topic as soon as it starts doesn't mean that I'm being a bad moderator. Your expectations are impossible to meet, even if you had two mods. I check this forum multiple times a day--usually every time I get back to my computer/my room. Complaining about it when you know I'm just going to show up two hours later and do what is necessary is incredibly counter-productive. Most forums here get by with one moderator, maybe two. This is the only forum at unfiction where I've seen a moderator actually be necessary on a daily basis. Usually it's just a couple people posting an update at the same time (as we saw with the half-dozen Entry 20 threads or whatever it was).

My point is: just because a mod doesn't stop by to address a problem immediately doesn't mean it's going to happen soon. And I would hope that the people here can solve most of the problems themselves--I.E. alerting people when their discussions are in the wrong place (as Droshi did) or simply being wise enough to ignore trolls until the thread gets merged/locked/otherwise sinks to the bottom and is forgotten.

One mod can not cover this whole forum; there are too many spammers. The reason we started our website (which, by the way, was an original idea).
