Now Greenberg has begun typing replies.
New post on the forum. He's essentially just confirmed Cherrytree's theory about brains 5 and 6, said he already knows how to fix the problem, and that he'd open the connections back up later today.

Well that's all in good news. I did get another email from Vidal not to long ago.

Quote:
Ha! Well I guess the latest post from Greenberg confirms your theory. I just thought that was weird timing.

I'm so screwed, it took me forever to pass 4-6 and now it looks like we'll have to do 5 and 6 again? I really hope some of you will be able to finish to the end and get all twenty-one code combinations. There's no way I'm going to make it if this gets any harder than #3 or #5 were.

- Vidal

Well i'm happy me and Vidal are getting chummy Very Happy

Also I love some of the humor in these levels. One of the errors at the bottom of the screen was:
Quote:
Making a error report to make you angry
Or something very close to those lines.

Response from Greenburg on the face:
Quote:
This could be anyone residing anywhere except perhaps within this facility. If you see wooden cabinets and blinds then you're not looking at one of our rooms. As this image was given to you along with the message from K-1, perhaps this person is someone of interest to it? The machine managed to successfully tell you of the harm you were causing with his other message. Maybe it also needs you to see this person you are describing? To see that someone is watching you maybe?

As for sending the image to me. This is impossible from this end, regardless of whether your forum allows it or not. I have tried to send images to you, very small images by the standards of your time, and after many hours of slow progress the connection always crashes. Over and over I tried and over and over it crashed long before being able to send it. These text-only posts I am making can sometimes take up to a few hours to send as well, depending on their length. Receiving posts from you is the same process and can take up to several hours to refresh and re-encode your posts to be viewable by this side.

More brains have been updated.

Okay new post for new stuff.

So the device has been updated again. More brains to fight through.

No "distortions" this time around.

Everything was pretty much the same except I think for a new item which made all the enemy pieces into the good one's. (I think that's what it does.)
Maybe that means "Good" Henry is getting stronger.

Big update to Brain list:
Quote:
Brain 1
Age 5: He came up to my ankles and was just leaning against the apple tree, smoking a pipe. No one believes me but I saw him. The little rascal ran off when I tried to sneak up on him. He just disappeared. No one will ever believe me.
Age 7: I wish dad could have stayed longer to play with me. I'm getting really good. Why does he always have to leave so early?
Age 9: Two of them! Right off the side of the road, sneaking into the forest. I'm not crazy – they were right there!
Age 12: Courtney climbs trees like some kinda mountain lion. I'm going to marry that girl some day.
Age 13: Grandpa says it's the Good Neighbors I keep seeing on our property. I can't tell if he's playing funny or going crazy. Maybe I'm getting a bit old to believe in stuff like this.
Age 14: What else can I do? I tore down the "For Sale" sign and threw it in the creek but it barely made any difference. Mom's still selling the house and moving us to Jersey. I'll probably never see Courtney again.
Age 16: I am Captain! I can't wait to tell Dad!
Age 19: It was like this bolt of lightning came out of nowhere and blew my shoulder right out. It hurts so bad. I hope I can still pitch for tomorrow's game. Coach says there will be scouts there and everything...
Age 22: She's just as beautiful as the last time I laid eyes on her. I just wanna spend every waking moment with her. Always knew I would see her again.
Age 25: I've done everything I can and this pain just doesn't stop. I know baseball's done for me. Fine, I accept it. But why the hell can't the doctors tell me what's wrong?
Age 29: Just take a deep breath, get down on one knee, and ask her...
Age 39: What the hell is hemachromatosis? He's saying that it's hereditary? Oh Jesus, not Kiera**
Age 40: I feel sick. How is it possible I passed something like this on to my daughter without knowing? If she has it too then I have to do something. I have to find a way to make it easier for her than it was for me...
Brain 2
Age 4: Gosh, those cars go by so fast! Way faster than horses can go...I wonder what it feels like inside them to move like that?
Age 10: I'll kill him one day. As soon as i'm strong enough i'll kill him! If he ever touches Annie I swear to christ i'll rip his head off!
Age 16: It's gone all of it. All up in smoke. I could have been burned alive...I could have died! I can't do this anymore. I don't want this to be my life forever. I don't want to die without living! I have to get out of here.
Age 19: I can't feel my legs.......Jesus, that whiskey really packs a punch!
Age 24: I swear Lord, just let me stop vomiting. I solemnly swear I will never drink again!
Age 26: So the Old Man's really gone. I guess I should feel regret... or something...
Age 27: This can't be happening. This can't be happening. God, why couldn't you have taken me? It's MY FAULT GOD DAMN IT! Oh Annie, what have I done?
Age 27: Never walk again? Who cares?! My sister's dead and it's my fault. Never walk again - I don't deserve to ever breathe again.
Age 27: Mother's really letting Annie visit? I guess she has no reason not to now that Father's gone. I can't wait to take her out, show her what she's been missing out on all these years!
Age 34: God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change. The courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.
Age 56 : It's sad to see mother like this. I thought she'd never come and see me… not after Annie. At least her and Kathy seem to be getting along.
Age 58: Kathleen you'll never know just how much you mean to me. You say I saved your life but really you saved mine. God bless you.....
Brain 3
Age 8: I've decided i'm going to become a professinal hockey player, and play in the olympics for Team Canada.
Age 15: People are finally taking notice. All my hard work is paying off! I'm being picked first now!
Age 18: First overall. I was picked first overall! It's a dream come true! I'm going to play in the NHL!
Age 21: Traded to our nemesis? I guess anyone can be traded...
Age 24: Yes! I've been selected to Team Canada! It's a dream come true! We're going to win the gold medal for sure!
Age 25: Olympic Gold medal Stanley Cup Champion MVP. All my hard work has finally paid off. It's everything I ever dreamed of!
Age 26: Breathe, remember to breathe, Louie. That gorgeous creature in the white dress is walking right to you. Gina the most beautiful woman in the world.
Age 30: Lifting the Stanley Cup never gets old. Never.
Age 33: Paralyzed... my career is over. My life is over...
Age 35: I'm on a roll. The world can't keep me down. I've still got some luck left.
Age 37: That's it. My very last dollar down the slots. How am I going to pay Big Tony back now? What the hell am I gong to tell Gina?
Age 38: That black van has been following me all day. If that's one of Big Tony's lackey's let'em come for me. What's he gonna do break my legs?
Brain 4
Age 7: I love the beach! Someday I hope I get married to a prince on this beach and live happily ever after!
Age 12: Someday my prince will come along, and we'll fall in love.
Age 20: I finally found him! My prince! I just know it! Chris Stevenson, you're the one!
Age 24: Chris and I are engaged! We're going to be married on Miami Beach just like I dreamed about when I was a little girl!
Age 25: Jane Stevenson...it sounds so silly! I think i'll keep my own name. Kuhllman. I hope Chris doesn't get mad.
Age 30: I'm pregnant again...I hope it's a boy this time. I always wanted one by and one girl.
Age 42: Raymond is always playing these video games. Why doesn't he go out more like his sister? Oh well...I'm sure it's just a phase. He'll grow out of it.
Age 50: My son still isn't doing anything with his life...My daugther is already in medical school...I just don't have the heart to kick him out. I'm sure he'll find his way...
Age 65: He's been stealing from us? Our retirement funds are gone? He's been using all our money to fund his games, and buying all that junk food...I guess Chris will have to keep working just because of his son...
Age 70: I keep having these nightmares...does my son really want me to die? Maybe I was too harsh kicking him out like that. He's a 40 year old wirehead with no skill sets...where swill he go?
Age 72: My husband is ok, and my daughter is ok but i've got to make sure Raymond is ok....poor, poor Raymond. I'm doing this for him...
Brain 5
Age 5: An IQ of 180 isn't so special when Ace has 190!
Age 6: That salt mother keeps sniffing has finally killed her! It sure took long enough!
Age 10: We're surrounded by idiots. Even the grownups are nothing but idiots!
Age 11: Someday, we'll be rich and powerful enough to have it all! We'll do it together, Ace!
Age 13: One kilometre seems to be the limit to our ability! It's incredible!
Age 16: Jack Sanchez? Are you sure these ID's will work? Do I even look the slightest bit Mexican to you?
Age 18: I can't believe a silly woman is coming between Ace and I! We're going to take over the world together and this damned doctor has us both smitten!
Age 21: Happy 26th birthday , Ace Sanchez!
Age 23: We can use her to get inside! I know she can fake a heart condition for me on those papers...
Age 24: I actually got in? I'm not terminally ill....does that mean....I have to die to live forever? Will I feel anything when I'm on the inside?
Brain 6
Age 7: Kigelia for bee-stings ginger root for upset stomach. Devil's Claw for back pain. Caju bark for fever...What was the cure for cough again? Oh yes, warbergia!
Age 14: There was nothing we could do for her. It was so sad to see this little baby suffering so much, and know she's going to die. The mother didn't say a word the whole time we were there. I won't sleep tonight.
Age 18: Fengie Bashar. The name of the girl i'm going to marry is Fengie Bashar. This picture mother gave me is just lovely. She smiles well she has very pretty teeth.
Age 21: I wonder if I can put in a request for a new roommate? Alex had his music blaring all night. How am I supposed to study like this?
Age 24: I hope father can wire me some money for a new winter coat. I knew it would be cold here, but this winter has been insane!
Age 26: I guess I'm a little tempted to go to the party. If only to be included in their stories and inside jokes. But these American girls are always so arrogant. I wonder if Fengie is arrogant?
Age 28: Two more semesters. Only two more semesters, and I can go home.
Age 30: When this plane lands I am going to get down on my knees, and kiss the holy ground! I have been away for too long.
Age 45: There is an outbreak in Mozambique. Fengie will kill me when she finds out i'm going, but I have no choice. I hope she understands.
Age 48: The symptoms began so slowly. I was so focused on my work I barely noticed them, but there is no denying it now. I just hope I get to see Fengi and the boys again before it gets too bad.
Brain 7
Age 9: My sister beat me up again...I'm so worthless
Age 23: Dispel me! I'm frozen! Dispel me! Oh my god! Dispel me!
Age 42: I can't believe i've wasted my whole life as a wirehead....and now that it's over, all I can do is try to make things right. I'm doing this for you, Mom...
Brain 8
Age 13: I can't believe I won! Mom and Dad will be so proud. All three daughters with their names on the plaque for Literary Excellence!
Age 34: The Cancun sky is as blue as my baby's eyes. Life is such a dream.
Age 44: I knew eventually I would be sitting in that little room, and the doctor would come in with that dead expression of finality on his face, and I would face it with that hollow, dull feeling in my chest. What I didn't expect was that through all that....there might still be hope.
Brain 9
Age 18: Amber. Her hair is such a unique shade of auburn. Like Autumn leaves. And her eyes are almost turquoise. She's a perfect specimen. I could do no better.
Age 19: Attempted murder? It wasn't murder...it was preservation. My collections aren't about death, they're about life! My specimens live forever.
Age 22: What do they mean my parents refused treatment? How can they do that? I'm their son!
Brain 10
Age 7: At night time. Spiders grow really big and try to wrap me up in their webs!
Age 25: I can't take it anymore...everything is just too much to handle! I'm going to go live alone in the forest where nobody can bother me. I'll make a house there. It's going to be so cool!
Age 31: Why has there been a black van sitting outside my cabin these past few days? I wonder if there is someone in there watching me....

I've already emailed the new cordinates to Vidal.

Someone may want to check the intro again, and make sure nothing's been added.

I had kind of a strange reaction with the i-brain (or iBrain as Steve Jobs would call it xD):
After completing the level it filled all of the game area with a red number 21.
Screenshot is attached.
I dont know whether this is of any significance, but by coincidence my time was also down to 21 (and obviously there are 21 brains)
So maybe there may be a message here, or it's just evil Henry messing with us again.

While doing the levels I also tested some other stuff:
If you manage to push the game-time above 999 seconds it will jump back to 100 seconds

I also noticed that the more brains we clear of the virus, there seems to be one voice gaining in dominance through the soundfiles we unlock.

As for the Memories, i'll have to edit them in later today

I can say right now that the writing in the intro has changed. However, I always miss my chance to get a screenshot. Can someone with a finger better at rapid-fire movement please give it a shot? Thanks.

Edit: Ok, I can't even get past the first level this time. Taking enemy pieces no longer does anything to my time! And I only get 15 seconds to start with! Green squares still work (although, they don't give as much time anymore), but we all know how infrequently they show up. How did you guys all get through this one?

Edit2: Also, the red pieces are now able to place directly on top of my pieces! How do they expect us to get through this?

Edit3: Ok, I think I'm beginning to get it. Each red piece gives half a second. So it's not impossible, just really freakin' hard.

Edit4: Ok. I give up. More often than not, the virus barely places any pieces at all for the whole 15 seconds (or, rather, 14, since the countdown actually resets before the animation finishes, and the reset animation takes a second or so. The game over one takes five or six, which is why I always reset after getting game over). And the majority of times they do place, they do more damage to me than is worth the 1.5 seconds I can get back. Do you think the PMs would mind if I borrowed a Flash cookie from someone? Would that screw something up?

sheesh

OK well I spent almost an hour last night and fiiinally got caught up to the new release of brains. The "6th?" brain is really damn tough though as I've been trying to beat it for a while now. I just spent a half an hour playing a single round and still can't beat it.

I did notice something though Duke, if I think you're stuck on the same level. Yes the enemy pieces killed only gives like +1 but the squares you break to unlock the memories seem to give +40 to time!! They were usually +20 before. So I think the trick is to always hit those whenever you see them. I came close to winning one game with the top special attack (the one that locks out the enemy) but then was two squares from winning when the enemy owned a huge chunk of my pieces and i was screwed. I'm enjoying these but they are really hard for me!

Cherrytree & Minz, it sounds like it's all very easy for you guys! Booo on you! lol

oh and p.s. I dont think anyone else mentioned it but there is a new press and news post from Vidal on the main site (he twittered yesterday). It looks like mostly things he has already told you guys over email except the last 2 paragraphs which is good to know. especially for someone like me who sucks at this brain game!!

Quote:

It's been a little while since I've posted here. I thought with us progressing through the Greenberg Device, now would be the time to express my thoughts and concerns moving forward. In case anybody is wondering, it is impossible for anyone on the other side to read these press and news posts - similar to the steps taken in our forums, only those connections with an associated and verified IP address will be allowed access to the Press & News postings.

I don't trust Greenberg at all. He's just simply too "on edge" for my liking. There's no telling what his real intentions are or if he even is who he claims to be. I have suggested to a few people (who have emailed me) that we hold back as much information as we can. I think it's important, for example, that Greenberg NOT learn we are receiving the satellite realignment codes. For all we know this is all a big ploy so that he can receive the codes himself. Henry wanted to hide them for a reason and we should respect that!

When Greenberg first connected his device to iDGi-1, it was completely by force. I could not control what was happening as it first drained a significant amount of power and then began integrating itself and taking control of various systems. Eventually the integration was complete and this caused iDGi-1's visual output to be ruptured by space/time anomalies left right and center. I've never seen anything like it thus far. What Greenberg said about Henry's "space/time abilities" would definitely account for these ruptures.

We have determined with almost certainty that these anomalies, the messages everyone is receiving as they display star information from iDGi-1's HUD, were transmitted originally from the Moon. They appear to all be dated in and around 2100 and are bits and pieces from some kind of semi-personal journal – a scientist in an observatory? Each entry mentions something about the star or star system being selected. We can't prove if any of the entries are REAL or are actually from our future or theirs. We do however know for certain that it's the Greenberg Device causing these anomalies to appear – it's the device's "security feature."

While the Greenberg Device does appear to be all he claims it is… the problem is that we're not sure exactly what we are causing to occur on the other side. How does "playing this game" affect Henry on the other side? Are we really fixing him? Was there ever even a virus in the first place? Perhaps we are helping make him worse? What if this person claiming to be "Walter Greenberg" is actually Malcolm, and the codes we are getting are from him as well? They could lead us anywhere.

All I do know for sure is that wherever the culmination of these codes take us, it will be perfectly safe for travel. This is the only fact keeping our government friends off our back as things progress.

I should further point out an important aspect of the device. Everyone interacting with the device's manifestation has been receiving satellite coordinates. This means that not everyone will be required to complete the operations for all 21 brains of the Greenberg Device in order to access the other world again. Once the coordinates have all been found, anyone who has experienced the first two months of Henry's existence will be able to jump back in.

Once all twenty-one codes are found and relayed to me, I'll do some tests to see if they actually work before opening up the entirely new dialing system to you all...

Really, for me, the green squares are giving less time. Hmm. I have some things I need to do, but I'll go and try again sometime later today.

Also, new post on Press&News. Most of it was a summary of the things he's been telling us through emails, however, the new bit I'll quote below:

I just must be really lucky with those levels then. I've never actually gotten the bacwards time audio if you lose. I'll scope out the opening to see if I can catch the newest message.

Brayden Shaw was Kevin Chard's replecement. My current theory says that Brayden was the one who inputted the virus since he would have the right access to do so. (At least the PM's didn't shoot it down)

Caught it!

Here's the new writing:

Well this is simply stupd. I am sick and tired of hearing "Device wouldn't work. Goodbye. WORLD."

I guess I interpret this to mean that not everyone (e.g., me) is expected to be able to get through all 21 of these stoooooooooopid pacman game things. That's dumb.

(can you tell i'm frustrated and sick of this?)

In reply to Cherrytree's last post:
Well, I guess that means that Greenberg's device is actually doing what it says it is. I mean, we don't really have a reason not to trust Good Henry, do we?

@Duke and Wowo. I'm sure you'll get it eventually.

I would know this game up and down already. I've gone through these leves maybe 5 times or more? Just to collect new brains. It's no wonder I pass through them so easily.

Maybe if I make a video that make things abit easier? I don't know if this game randomizes what it does to each of us pertaining to time and all that.

No we don't really have a reason to not trust Good Henry. For the most part maybe. Look at the last writing we got in the device "Be careful seeker. What is this? Sensation i'm feeling" It could mean anything, but who knows.

Also each audio will probably get clearer as Good Henry becomes stronger and all the other voices are banished.
