Wierd, I get the same kind of loading screen as I did for the website as before, and the anomaly still isn't showing us like it did before.

Whats wierd is that the little down arrow that you mentioned, the one where you click on the little cresent moon afterwards.. for some reason that cresent moon isn't there for me now so I can't use that to shortcut the anomaly. This is putting me off getting back to the desktop and checking out the latest audio files since I have no idea how I activated the anomaly in the first place. :/

as mentioned before, you have to wait until the moon moves in front of the sun for the anomaly to appear. or, you can try the direct link to the desktop flash file posted above.

Pulling down that little menu and clicking on the crescent moon *should* work and send you right to the anomaly stage. Maybe things got reset somehow. In the meantime, I would definitely use that direct link to skip everything else.

Used the direct link to grab the files for now, but yeah, like I said the cresent moon isn't there for me to click on so I can't seem to skip the anomaly stage like that, and don't feel like waiting ages for the moon to complete its cycle or w/e.

I know we were thinking of what (or if) this was for (something), and couldn't find anything. But I was thinking, if it is for something, maybe it's not a video game, since that's the only thing we looked at, maybe a movie or something coming out on july 14th. Just thinking out loud here Smile

Heya - thought I'd post my findings to help with some peoples confusions. Its a cookie-heavy site and obviously (since the little moon symbol is GONE for you), your settings were reset somehow.

If you have completely clear cookies - the site will make you wait until the "anomaly" happens naturally - I.E. you must wait for the moon to eclipse the sun. After the anomaly is triggered (you don't even have to click on it) - you hear a voice say "event captured" and then the little crescent moon symbol goes into the box on the top. So basically you can easily just leave the site running in the background for a while and let it capture the event on its own. After this, you can click the little arrow on the top bar, and then click the crescent moon... which will then bring the moon to the eclipse... and you can easily click the anomaly.

NOW - after you click the anomaly and complete the symbol puzzle thing, you are brought to the desktop screen. Once you come to the desktop screen, the site now seems to set that as a checkpoint. So as long as you DO NOT click the "END" button on the bottom left of the desktop screen, your browser will remember you are there, and will re-load it if you refresh the page or leave and come back another time.

So yeah, they have obviously addressed the problem of people getting frustrated by having to do the eclipse over and over just go download the new audio file.

Just another little bit I didn't see anyone mention.

If you right click on the desktop, instead of "Copyright © 2000-2010 Interdimensional Games," it says "© 2010-2028 ϊnterdimeémæ qame§." If you select this, it will bring up an e-mail and the 'To' line will populate as "I'm in your email, messin' with your addresses!" Since I don't use Mail or Outlook, I can't see if it messes with your addresses or Contacts further.

Instead of the version it says "XD @ you." If you select this, it takes you to the Google search page for "recursion." Related to the hangman game?

as always, the audio file is indecipherable to me. i can't even get the date this time - however, the parts that i can make out is 21st and 2028.

Damn that's really weird man - #11 I can pretty easily hear several word for this one and find that the puzzles are even getting a little easier as they go. Do me a favor -- I want to see if I'm not just totally insane. Open the file and tell me what you hear between 3.1 seconds and 3.8 seconds, played forward. And then combine what you hear there with what you hear between 5.1 seconds and 5.7 seconds, played forward. What do you hear? --- After this, reverse the file. What do you now hear between 3.8 seconds and 7.7 seconds??? To me its really obvious (especially the backwards voice) but I want to make sure im not the ONLY one thinking this.

also Im pretty damn sure the date for this one is February 21st - if you listen to the VERY beginning, the first 1.5 seconds. It sounds like a high-pitched little girls voice saying February and then a dog barking.

Hey, maybe its only because of my headphones I am hearing this shit - they're ridiculously large and expensive. It seems to me the files are not really THAT distorted but rather are only 2 voices - one played forward and one played backwards... with the date mixed up in between them.

Edit: Im waiting for more repeats of the same dates before I try to put anything together as a whole.

Well this is stupid!

What if I want to be able to *both* access the starting page when I want (to get at the links for things like the company blog, forums, etc) and to access the desktop (to get at the other files). It seems like you are only able to do one or the other, but not both, without having to sit through all of the flash.

Huh??? I think they are going for some realism here - as in (just read the press release) we are traveling into another dimension when clicking on the anomaly (when you see "all of the flash") -- and now this "checkpoint" system is simply saying that once we travel through the anomaly, we STAY on the other side until we travel back through and return to the space scene (our dimension). Also if you notice, the new flash animation when you refresh the desktop screen is a condensed version of the full flash animation when you click the anomaly... music theme and all.

ALSO -- uhhh, the forum and blog are both separate links entirely which you can easily just bookmark - and the other links like TEAM and ABOUT never change. And since the space scene itself has not been changed in some time, for me personally its very helpful not having to do the full anomaly animation every time I come to the site to download the latest file or see what's new in the "alternate dimension".

This whole thing is admittedly very very different (and difficult!) in general but im really digging where its going and the creepyness of it all. I have a feeling this ARG is going to be running for quite some time and this is really just the beginning (as we have two seperate date clues - one for March 1st and another on ProjectB6 for freaking July.) --- and well (lol) they say "this is just the beginning" on one of the previous blogs:)

Huh??? "all of the flash"?? The animation between the two is only like 5-10 seconds at the most... impatient a little?? I'm sorry if I'm not entitled to my opinion about the annoyingness of it all. I will go play some other game.

/sigh.. I never said you weren't entitled and I wasn't trying to be rude. I was just riffing off what you said and stating my opinion to the contrary.

Sorry if I pissed u off. Sad

Yeah I had figured it was probably something like that, and that my progress just got wiped for whatever reason. Anyway, since accessing the desktop part of the game via that direct link, its remembered that I've gotten there so no need to wait for the moon thing now.

3.1 - 3.8 i hear someone saying "more precise", i believe, but i didn't think it was that significant because i thought it was just something reversed.

5.1 - 5.8 i can't make out, but it sounds like a voice for sure.

3.8 - 7.7 i can't make out either, except for a part at the end that sounds like "today". it sounds like two seperate voices throughout this segment, one slowed down, another sped up as if backwards, and then slowed down again where the "today" part is.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The voice is definitely slurred a little but Im thinking it's probably one of those things that once you hear the words ONCE, it'll stick... As I thought this the easier one -- Im pretty damn sure someone is saying "I haven't left home in...(and then a half-second of backward jibberish which im fairly sure is part of the other voice)... two days" when the entire file is played backwards, between 3.8 and 7.7 seconds.

And then when played forward: I cut/paste both what is being said between 3.1 seconds and 3.8 seconds -- and put it directly before what is said between 5.1 and 5.7 seconds... it sounds alot like, "more precisely, im assuming..."

what do you think?

OH and EDIT:: I'm almost certain at least one of the voices has a European or Australian accent of some kind.

Its reeeally startin' to trip me right the hell out thats for damn sure.

Yea decoding these music files is a bit hard. Im at a dead end on both the Project B6 and side thing. I currently have 12 audio files and a couple text documents with links to things. On the project B6 i have gotten the words for all the symbols but no rhyme or reason found on how to use those words.

the latest one (0xx012) is a bit interesting. the date appears to be february 15th 2028 (the 2028 is reversed), unreversed i hear something like a gunshot at the very beginning. reversed, one of the voices we've heard before says "i've been noticing some irregularities" (although with another scrambled piece of audio between "some" and "iregularities").
