 		One thing I found on the desktop connection is that:

If you input "x-044##72" into the communicator program, you get: "21/21 to be found on the desktop!"

Input "x-846##99": "6/21 to be found on the desktop!"

I must have been in that police office for 5!!! hours today! My appot with Mendoza wasn't until 3 PM, so I showed up what I "thought" was nice and early (1:30 PM) to pick up the Missing Person's Report and go over it before my meeting. Instead I ended up waiting in a line for 45! minutes, only to be told that the office had lost my request form and that I would need to fill another one out!!! I argued with the receptionist for another good 20 minutes until I got an solemn guarentee that if I filled out another of their stupid forms. I would be able to get a copy of the Report in my hands TODAY. Money talks it seems, since it was only after I slipped her 500 pesos=E28. That I got bumped to the head of the line!!!

By the time I filled out another of their long-winded forms and waited in another line to drop it off I was late for my meeting with Mendoga!!! I rushed over to his office but his secretary told me he had already been called away on urgent buisness. Worldview lackeys or not the Xalapa police force is doing a bang up job of interfering with my search for Kevin.

At least I was able to get my hands on the Report. Unfortunately, it just raises more questions. It's painfully bleak and there is a vague reference made by Melinda that Worldview not only had something to do with Kevin's abduction, but with Sarah's death as well??? No wonder Officer Peren dismissed her! If she presented her case with so much credibility as she did to me, I would not have believed her either. Melinda aside, it does not mean the connection is not there. I had no reason to question Sarah's death before, but now I must admit I am considering the possibility of this all being linked...

I tried to meet with Malcolm to discuss this, but as usual, he was away. A young man from Cuba, no older than Kevin, just arrived in Xalapa this week and Malcolm has been spending all his time with him (gay! Haha, I wonder...). I appreciate how (snicker) devoted Malcolm is to his new (tee-hee!) recruits, but it sure makes him a hard man to get a hold of!

Well, with or without Malcolm's help, tomorrow the real search begins! The Report includes a list of Kevin's frequent hang-outs, so that is where I'll start.

My search for Kevin is still coming up dry. So far I've been to all but one of the places listed on the report as Kevin's "regular hangouts" and found not even a trace of my son...


The first place I checked out was the Xalapa Cathedral for Sunday Mass. Now, my family is not Catholic and neither was ***. Even before our scientology says, we had never set foot inside a church. How the Xalapa Cathedral could be considered Kevin's most frequent haunt is beyond me... Either I really don't know my son at all, or the report has indeed been falsified. I hate to say it, but both are entirely possible...Anyway, doubtful though I was, I would have kicked myself if I hadn't even checked this place out.

The Cathedral itself is beautiful, no question there. I didn't understand a word of the mass so it was all spoken in Spanish, but it could have been a little shorter. (The Eucharist. A strange ritual where people consume the body and blood of their god...any excuse for wine! OK with me.) After an hour of standing, sitting, standing, kneeling, standing and singing I was ready to call it a day! I stayed back to talk to the priest and as I was waiting for everyone to clear out of the lobby, someone approached me. I recognized him from the last Headway meeting. He introduced himself, but with his thick accent (Polish/Russian?) it was pretty hard to understand him. Eventually, I had to ask him to spell his name out for me, but that wasn't much more help-but it's pronounced nothing like it looks so no help there! Anyhow, this Woyteck appears to have lost his daughter in almost the same manner as I've lost Kevin. He must be one of those family members Malcolm spoke of.* He says he's been in Mexico for almost a month now and Malcolm keeps telling him that they are organizing a lawsuit and need him here. So for , however, all he's done is talk to the same Church member several times at Malcolm's request, a man named Ace Geas. (What a handle!) He told me all this Ace has done is ask general questions about his daughter. What is her favorite color? Favorite movie? Favorite TV Show? On and on like that for several dozen questions...Maybe he's gathering information for the lawsuit? I just don't know where this Ace fits into everything though, why is "he" conducting the interviews w/ family members and not Malcolm? It seems Wojtek is staying in the hostel too, so I've arranged to meet with him again this week privately.

Unfortunately, this is the most progress that I have made so far. Either the priest doesn't know Kevin, or he didn't understand my English well enough to know what I was asking. (I really need to brush up on my Spanish!)

I didn't have much luck at VR:Books either. It's just like it's American counter parts too much of a warehouse for anyone to remember anything about one particular customer, even "if" he was there all the time. The same with the cafe, "Convivio". At least at the Cathedral, people were friendly and helpful. Everyone at the Cafe was so stuck up their own asses they probably wouldn't have noticed if it started raining fire right in front of them. I hate to say it, but I might need to ask Melinda for help in translating for me. At least she knows the language...I wonder if Patricia speaks Spanish?

I have to admit, I am getting pretty discouraged here. I just don't feel Kevin in any of these places...I am beginning to feel like I'm just wasting my time here. Everywhere I turn only leads to more dead ends. But I have a mother's determination and I WILL get to the bottom of this, one way or another!

I'm not really sure how to describe what just happened here...

Patricia that lovely young woman from the Headway meeting just ran out of my room, holdbing back tears and muttering something about allergies. I'm utterly confused. We had been having a really productive few days together. Let me explain...

I was feeling reluctant to ask Melinda for her help in canvassing the local areas for information on Kevin. Not only is she clearly...(ahem) "unbalanced"...(to say the least) but she is, afterall the one who filed the actual police report in the first place. Maybe she made it all up for some damn reason? Also, it seems that she is attached to Malcolm's hip and since I don't really know what to make of Malcolm yet, I can't exactly trust Melinda.

Fortunately, it turns out that Patricia is also fluent in Spanish. I feel a lot more comfortable with her as I don't think she has a dishonest bone in her body. With her help I've been able to comb through the hangouts listed on the police report with moderately more success. Yesterday we found a cashier at VR: Books who said she recognized Kevin from a picture we showed her. She used to see him in the Science and Technology section and apparently she thought he was cute. She wasn't working the day of Kevin's disappearance (she works two jobs) but we were able to leave my number with her and she said she would contact me if any of the other employees had seen anything. It may be a small lead, but it's the most luck we've had so far.

The reast of the leads: The Cathedral, the Arts Centre, the snotty cafe she agrees, are not like Kevin at all. I asked Patricia just now, in fact, what she thinks of Melinda. I was wondering if perhaps Melinda would have any reason to lie on the police report or if there ever was bad blood between her and Kevin. And then...I don't know what happened...she just got up and said she had to leave. Her face and eyes went red; she grabbed a tissue on her way out the door and blamed her allergies so she ran down the hall.

I think it's fairly obvious that I need to keep a close eye on Melinda from here on out. Also, I'm beginning to wonder if maybe Patricia and Kevin had more of a relationship than she is letting on. It would explain her behavior a lot...but then, why wouldn't she tell me? I don't know. I am just going to let her be for now. Maybe I'll wait a few days and try her again, see if she is any more receptive then.

I guess I'll sit back and see if this new lead yields anything and speak to Wojtek again. Maybe we can compare notes.

The days are beginning to bleed into each other down here. It's been almost a week since Patricia's "allergic reaction" in my room and she hasn't spoken to me since. Well, she isn't outright avoiding me or anything like that. She still smiles when she sees me, or makes small talk with me...but she hasn't so much as mentioned Kevin since that day, or offered to be of any more help.

Grudgingly, I've had to go back to Melinda. Something I needed to do anyway, since all of her leads on the Missing Persons Report seemed to be duds. But when I asked her why she had listed the Cathedral of all places! As a frequent hangout she looked geniuinely stunned. We went over the report together and Melinda swears up and down that she never gave these locations to the police. It would be useless to mention this to the police myself. If they did alter her report, they certainly aren't going to admit to it...However...this proves now that someone is indeed lying to me. Now, there is no doubt.

At least I've made a new friend in Wojtek, despite his atrocious English I've met with him a few times now. (When the truth is divided, errors multiply. Eli Siegel) From what I've been able to piece together, he's come all the way from Poland, looking for his daughter. He says she's been missing since March of last year. It sounds like she was a bit of an eccentric into weird religions and cults and parts of a "death metal" group. He asked me if I'd ever heard of her band. "Magical Happy Rainbow Kittens" (See if Alex knows them...He's into all kinds of terrible music!) And I thought "I" had problems with Kevin!!

Wojtek is also not a member of the Guardian Church. It doesn't appeal to his traditional Catholic affections. He grumbles through the Headway meetings and complains to me about the "ridiculous concept of aliens." I told him that he should talk to Peter Mckay, our resident "missionary" and maybe he'd lose some of his apprehensions. The Church has so much to offer him, if only he would open his mind.

Anyway, Wojtek and I had coffee on Wednesday and he introduced me to a local woman who is involved with the lawsuit against Worldview Industries. Maria Delgada she was friends with a member of the Xalapa Chapter; Jane Fallis. Maria's story sounds exactly like what Malcolm described to me. She said that she and Jane noticed a black van following them around for weeks before Jane disappeared. She filed a Missing Persons Report too and just like Melinda was completely brushed off by the Xalapa Police.

Malcolm has had both Maria and Wojtek give their stories to Ace...Maria especially seemed surprised I hadn't spoken to him yet. She kept stressing that Ace was the man to talk to. I must speak to Malcolm to find out what this is all about...

Meeting Maria has been particularly fortunate, I think. She has lived in Xalapa her whole life and knows the place inside and out. She seems willing to help me and we exchanged contact info. With Patricia's silence and Melinda, well being Melinda, I was worried I had run out of people to turn to. I'm so relieved to have met her!

And finally! The strangest part of my day. I got a phone call this morning around 1 AM. The number calling was blocked and the voice was altered. The caller threatened me and told me to leave Xalapa. They said: "If you ever want to see Kevin alive again, go home to London. Forget Xalapa, forget Worldview Industries...forget you were even here. Then and only then will you see your son again." and then they hung up.

Whoever the hell it was clearly they don't know who they are messing with. I am NOT going ANYWHERE until I get my son back and no anonymous threat is going to change that. If they were going to kill Kevin they would have done it already.

Greetings Seekers and Newcomers…

We've been pretty quiet lately…to put it simply, this is because we've been working harder than ever before. We've been spurred on by some incredible discoveries about the full capabilities of iDGi-1, and have been working very hard to establish a fully three dimensional connection with the world beyond the rift. We are also under some financial pressure to produce tangible results from our satellite beyond the strange, esoteric data and content we've found thus far. We are lucky to be assisted by none other than David Schelter, a brilliant man who seems to possess an intuitive understanding of what our satellite does. I cannot say much more about him, by his own request, other than to simply state that his insights and ideas have truly awakened the real potential of our little satellite.

This started on December 21st of last year, when iDGi-1 was shorted out by the largest jolt of energy from the other side that we've ever seen. Looking back on this event, we don't believe it was exactly a coincidence that the precise moment of this spike also coincided with the Winter Solstice here in the northern hemisphere – December 21st in many time-zones. 21 is a number that has constantly arisen in our explorations of the other side – I could list a dozen examples. We know that 21 originated from the number of human brains attached to the A.I. entity known as Henry IX. Since discovering this however, it's been popping up everywhere. Coincidence? I think not.

Regarding the discoveries I mentioned… one of the Seekers (members of the public who have been experimenting with the capabilities of our iDGi-1 satellite for over two years), found a whole new set of coordinates from within Henry, and discovered a brief three dimensional feed from somewhere in the other universe. The date of the connection appears to be December 21st, 2037 (also the Winter Solstice of that year) which is about 9 years beyond any previous connection we've found. Our analysts believe it is a virtual world of some sort…possibly the same place where the so-called "wire-heads" of that universe spend their time. The feed also featured a woman named Alannah Boyle whom we are working on discovering the identity of. Why are we being shown a video of this woman? Who is she to Henry and the people of the other side?

We are currently working to package up some video footage of this three dimensional stream, to show the whole world just what our satellite can do. We should have this ready soon and will certainly announce it's release! In the meantime, we are furiously working to establish even more three dimensional connections, and are pleased to announce that we've made some major progress on this front.

In addition, a note for you Seekers: our "laser frequency finder" algorithm has been running steadily since December 22nd, and still hasn't found anything. As usual, I will tweet the moment that it finds another time-jump from within the "circa 2028″ rift connection.

It would seem it was on the dot about him already knowing about it, and was working for Malcolm at the start.

 		This would be a good course of action if Alvarez is still lying. However, what will this do if he's telling the truth (something which, while still uncertain, I am somewhat more inclined to believe for some reason)? Will this break our relationship on his side and make us lose our main contact in that timeline? Does that even matter anymore?

 		I never said Alvarez was still lying, but that never means he won't withold information in the future again. Also the thing we're waiting on is Cancer Man to get access to the hostel and grab the remote. After that I'm not sure what will happen. It may come down to him asking us what to do.

Either way it's a shaky course of action and the way I have the reply formatted it's meant to draw him closer to us, but it has just the same likeability to drive away at the same time. (Lovely double edged swords)

 		it definitely a tough call. I personally think he's at the end of his rope and has no reason to lie anymore. The first two paragraphs and his confession really make me think he's done screwing around and will do whatever he needs to to help whoever he can, to stop the crazyness Henry is causing.

And yay, I was right! Sure glad I held off posting anything though and instead let him confess his sins on his own. =)

Edit: what's the deal with Tharol?! Anyone!? That's three times he's posted pretty much gibberish and he's got hundreds of other gibberish posts on other threads. I PM'd him to ask aaaand got mostly gibberish in return! lol (there's no way it's just bad english!! Not with THAT many posts!)

 		New post on the blog. (I just happened to check on it today and there was a post for today. So I lucked out.)

It would seem they released the trailer they had been talking about and it's now viewable on the Gametrailers site. (It's on the main splash screen).

 		There we go.

So. looking at the trailer, I'm seeing a flash of the sumerian glyphs when the concussive shot is fired, and a string of braille across the bottom of the screen.. get yer thinking caps on peeps.

Also.. where the hell is the chatroom? #idgi at chat-solutions has been dead for months apparrently..

 		As far as I can see everything in the video that could be decoded is junk when done.

The symbols decode to this: (Top and bottom respectively)

The binary in the video is garbage and the hex is garbage when decoded so it looks like there's no eggs hidden in there as far as I can tell.

I haven't done the braille, but considering everything has been garbage I expect that to come out bad as well.

 		I mistakenly went to the Experience site and noticed they made a few changes for new players (I'm not on the computer I usually use). You no longer have to wait as long for the anomaly, and there is a visible countdown for it on the screen. Also, the initial symbol-placing puzzle has now been made even easier by the placing of incomplete versions of the symbols inside of each box, removing the need to reference B6 at all.

 		Stuck
So I've gotten to the secondary screen after putting in all the coords. It asks me to do a password which is "Y0ur_WoRD_2ce."

My word is "music" so I put it in twice and nothing. I also couldn't download any of the files that required the password to be entered twice. Am I doing something wrong?
