@Zenlightenment: The only thing I can suggest is make sure what files you are trying to unlock. The first lower row are User: Seeker and Password: Blind
The upper files require your word twice. Same with the journal entries.

If your problem should persist I would suggest you email Vidal and title your email OOG: Bug Report or something of the sort. It would seem their bug email address wasn't working at the time. Then they should fix the problem if there is one.

You should also know that Vidal will not respond to the OOG email.

Cool, I get to 91% and hit a game breaking bug. Hopefully I'll get a response. I don't want to re-input those coordinates.

Hi! I registered on this forum for the sole purpose of discussing this puzzle with all of you smart people. I'm currently at 91% with about half of the mini-game levels remaining. Really admire the work you guys have done here so far. Smile

I know you've dismissed the codes in the trailer as gibberish - and they very well might be. But I copied some of them down and took a closer look, and I think it may be worth revisiting.

Like at 0:16, there's a block of decimal that, when translated into text, reads like this:

pwdasumev.Lvyi,yz

Again, might be nothing, but it's got one uppercase letter, a period, and a comma - so it could also be a scrambled sentence, maybe combined with a shifted alphabet?

I'm not great at cracking codes, and maybe there's nothing to find here, but I figured I'd show you guys what I'd found in case someone else wants to take a shot at it.

I suck pretty bad at figuring this kind of thing out too (I've let the smarty pants on here do it so far!) BUT I did notice that someone posted a decode of the braille right in the comments of the gametrailers video. I'm not sure how you decoded the brail into numbers (baji?) but the guy wrote this in the comments as his decode:

''dotd ashj hdas hdot dotd otjh dash dotd otdo tjhd otda shjh dash dotd otdo tjhd otdo tdas hdot dash dotd otdo tdas hdot dotd otda shdo tdot jhda shdo tdot jhda shdo tdot dotjh''

Or grouped for Morse code:

''Dot dash jh dash dot dot dot jh dash dot dot dot jh dot dash jh dash dot dot dot jh dot dot dash dot dash dot dot dot dash dot dot dot dash dot dot jh dash dot dot jh dash dot dot dot jh''

I put it in a Morse to English translator and all I got was ''ABBAB?DB'' Sad
Though I assumed the ''jh'' was a letter spacer. :/

I'm not sure what exactly to make of it either but maybe he's missing a step or something to make it work? It's obviously meant to at least be braille to morse.

Hi everyone,

So I was first introduced to interdimensionalgames by that "mystery game" video a few days back and it made me extremely curious.

I later found out that it was part of of an ARG, and subsequently found the IDG1 site.

I don't know if it has been brought up in this thread already, but what intrigued me the most was the symbol/logo at the end of the video. I've encountered it throughout my lifetime in varied forms. It is reminiscent of the Flower of Life

Heres the wikipedia link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flower_of_Life

Here's a view of the "flower of life"

This concept deals with the fundamentals of creation. Just sort of intrigued me that a "game" was using that as a logo. If you look at the video, it even has a sort of "blooming effect", with the two white arcs underneath acting as leaves/petals

Hope to hear some feedback!

Oh, wow - that morse code was a cool find! Morse code has been used in other places in this ARG before, too. No idea what the translation means... But it does seem a bit too deliberately placed for it to be gibberish, doesn't it?

For some reason, when I was looking at this video the other day, I only saw the upper two dot lines for the braille, which is why I assumed they were all numbers. I stand corrected. I'll edit that line out of my post to avoid confusion.

(for the "hard to see" parts) What about the in-game version of the video, without the music?? That's definitely much higher quality than the gametrailers HD version and will maybe help to decode stuff.

edit: just realized they've got the video on youtube now http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_cY3hCmJNw - the 1080p looks WAY better than the gametrailers version.

And Habusto, welcome! Yes indeed I realized the same thing. It's definitely the tree of life they're going for there. Tree of life with chess pieces! :=0 I'm very, very curious what that logo is meant to be mostly because it was also in the "in-game version" of the video soooo it's not JUST some logo related to the company.

Oh, nice - thanks Sublime! I'll go through and see if I can fill in some of the blanks. In the meantime, I posted what I could copy from the hexadecimal block at 0:09.

Also, what is this "in-game version" of the video that you're referring to?

@governorbaji: When you enter the second set of cord's into the satellite screen a new connection appears which gives you the trailer that you saw. You need to enter your word twice in the dialog box. (Just checked and it worked for me.)

You can also download the video from there also.

Also of note if you download the video there is no symbols or hex on it.

Thank you Cherrytree! I am noticing the absence of the blocks of binary/hex/symbols when she fires her gun, but the blocks of hex at 0:00, 0:09, and 0:22 are still present - and they are MUCH easier to read! Maybe now I can fill in those gaps.

Now that we know the hexadecimal translation is correct, some thoughts on the blocks:

The alphabetical characters in lines 2 & 7, 4 & 10, and 5 & 11 are the same.

The green characters: time stamps? bible verses?

The purple numbers all end with 10 or 11.

There are 21 lines in all. Maybe they each correspond with a brain or with a symbol?
