Yeah it is a good rant! I couldn't agree more with what is said. And the author mentions Deus-Ex! I had all but forgotten about that game - it was awesome!

I was with the guy(/girl?) right up until he used the MW2 storyline as an example of his/her point, which actually disproves his point in my opinion. I never even played MW1, and so you'd expect I wouldn't fully understand or appreciate the storyline of the Modern Warfare series, and yet I was totally immersed and found the whole thing incredible, really.

There's no denying that the majority of work on MW2 went into online, because most people want that side of the game, and admittedly the storyline was short (took me 5 hours to complete, granted on the easiest setting, but it was my first CoD game) but that does not mean the storyline was bad.

(IMO--not trying to argue!!) the story in MW2 was 100% a copy of the first MW. The story is entirely in the "mission briefing" cut scenes and only serves as an excuse to be in a new place, sometimes as a new character. The story is way in the background and (in my opinion anyway) very disconnected from the action. The action you play in the game is interchangeable with a thousand different possible stories. This is why I also think MW and MW2 are pretty much the same game and I can't help but agree with the poster.

I would still say they were both incredibly fun though! and so are all the other CoD games for that matter!

I guess its a difference of taste, but I found the entier story to be excellent as I said and I didn't feel that the briefing were an excuse to be in a new place, rather, that each place fit into a story that allowed a lot of diverse settings so that it wasn't dull.

Re-caps and catching up

Hi guys I just got started on this not even 2 days ago, and I have to tell you I am fascinated, if not a little annoyed. What I have gleamed from this so far is that, we have a guy named Seeker and he is the employee of worldview (I think). I have written notes about his blog and summarized everything to the most crucial parts. But I am still lost. I downloaded all the audio files and I think I am missing 15 and 16. At first I thought that this was another Tool ARG because there are links in the files that take you to various videos. I have downloaded a file reverser and stuff and was taking a look at the audio files it seems to me that there are 2 people in one file that do not correspond with each other. So what I am trying to do currently is separate those two voices and get them together respectively in their own audio file. Success has not been great. What I think is odd is that employee 1195 ends his last blog post on January 1st. Other than that I have got no idea what do do. I will update when I figure out how to separate the files and get them together. This is probably just a recap, but I will be happy if you got some new information out of this.

The latest sound file to be added 0xx030, mentions the name Henry.

Henry is the name of the poster found by following the ip search talked about in this post. I left a comment there last week, and yesterday Henry answered me.

Hello Henry. I like your music choices. May I ask, are you employee 1195?

*eta I don't think Henry is employee 1195, but is most likely the person who scribbled on the blog. I just wanted to open up some dialogue with him.

Somebody said earlier how Project86 could not be a cryptogram because it has a word that starts with a double letter.

I think the cryptogram is reversed. Check the right hand margin of it again. See those periods?

Also, someone mentioned that there are thirty one characters in it. I only see twenty four.

I really really think it is a cryptogram.

I transposed the symbols into ascii symbols (£, $, etc) in an earlier post and uploaded the .txt file containing the pattern. THere was definitely more than 26 symbols or else I made a lot of mistakes and I am about 95% certain I got it all right.

Wow, this is a pretty big update IMO, finally someone to interact with. Perhaps you could ask him whats with all the cryptic scrambled audio files?

You're missing a whole line of symbols there. Here is the uploaded printscreen of the Project B6 page I included with the aforementioned post earlier in the thread. Unless they've changed the page, then ya, you're missing a line of symbols. Wink

...Guys... I might have figured out why we were being given song lyrics that talked about missing something obvious - has anyone checked the "Press & News" section in the last 5 days? If not, I suggest you do. Wink

On December 10th, 2009 the anomaly was exploited for the first time, thanks to iDGi-1.
I was fortunate enough to be the first person to experience this "alternate dimension" and have since been attempting to gather my thoughts on just what it is. I had hoped to return to work on January 1st so that I could more closely monitor all of your experiences – but unfortunately an urgent personal matter came up which forced me to stay close to home.
We decided to open the portal to you, the public, on January 1st and have since been able to gather an overwhelming amount of information. I have only just returned to work today and our writers are bursting with new ideas for ProjectB6 – our intended purpose of allowing this portal to act as a tool for our team to create a wholly unique gaming experience is working beautifully. We owe this entirely to you! Thank you!
We still don't fully understand what this other dimension is (and I use the term "dimension" lightly as we truly have no idea just what it is). We are certain, however, that this alternate dimension exists within a time outside of our own. As I am sure others will attest, it is a true out of body experience… very surreal. We are not "traveling" in any normal sense of the word, but rather it seems our consciousness is being transmitted into a wholly alternate world. A world which is clearly being monitored by someone or something that insists on calling us "seekers" and acts in a very child like manner.
We have been specifically interested in and monitoring any and all objects which have been brought back from this other dimension, into our own. So far we have been unable to decipher the purpose of these objects and what their connection is to the entity on the other side. It is for this purpose that I have opened a
,Twitter page,
where we will be sharing our revelations with you. On top of this, I am officially making my personal email public for anyone who may have any questions or concerns regarding their own experiences within the other dimension.
Vidal Desertch : ,vdesertch@interdimensionalgames.com,

It gives us a twitter and an email we can contact, that as far as I'm aware no one noticed until now, since we were too busy fiddling with audio files etc.
