This made me think of when Employee 1195 was talking in his blog about how his father passed away, and then all of a sudden he was alive...and the doctor talked about he was glad to see he retained his memories, or something like that.

It is on blog page two, under 2024 - March 21, 2:58

I just re-read the date and I think it's meaning is that Employee 1195's father died after these events;;; after he was able to get one last happy and fully conscious time in with his family. "Later the doctor told us that we were lucky to see him like that in the end as for most families, the worst part was trying to remember their loved ones as they were before they got sick." so Employee 1195 was just happy to see his father in good spirits one last time before he died.

hell, I could be wrong but that's what i got out of it. Also something else had to have been wrong with his father... otherwise why didn't they just grow him a new lung?? orrrr if that takes too long, implant an artificial lung until the new one was ready?? Maybe the "rejected stem cell grown lung" got infected and screwed up other parts of his body?!? whooo knows. (see 2023, January 3 for lung stuff)

IMPORTANT: the entity posting comments on ipaddresser cannot yet be trusted. It is now asking questions and we must not tell it anything! 3:43 PM Jan 30th

Well, I'm sure confused but a little less so after this from IPadresser.com

My Name Is Not Important
Henry intends to take violent action against those who would actively seek to destroy their own planet. The Guardians are our protectors and the only ones capable of saving us from ourselves. We do not know of anything named "Project B6"?

I'm almost certain that Henry and My Name Is Not Important are working against each other. Henry seems to be a proponent of environmentalism (and maybe an AI eco-terrorist from the future?) and working with Worldview Industries. My Name Is Not Important seems to be on the side of The Church of The Guardians, and not so much for anything as just against Henry.

But here's where I'm kind of confused.

I am not Employee 1195... he works for Worldview Industries and is not my friend, nor should he be yours. The year is 2028 where I am from. May I ask what year it is, in your world?

Henry
The Church you can trust without a doubt... where did you receive such contrary information?

Which pretty much contradicts everything I just said. Sad

Read over some new messages fom Henry, these in particular intrested me;

Damnit, just tried to go to the thread with the part I wanted to quote and it gave some "500 - Too many accesses error"

Annoying. Anyway, the part pretty much shows Henry telling us he cannot control himself, and calls us cruel for entering his world. Not to say we should trust him, but this sort of remorse he has could be a weak point for him. If we exploit those kind of moments in him he may be more likely to give away important information.

We just have to figure out what to ask him. Something a long the lines of who programmed him, or how we can help him control himself. As long as we make it sound comforting it should work.[/quote]

Do you think that Henry might be a rogue AI formerly under the employ of Worldview Industries, and that some organizaation or other managed to help him "escape" per se?

Just saw I got a reply from an e-mail i sent Vidal last week....

Vidal,

Is the project b6 web page something created by your team or was it brought back from the other dimension? If your team created it then maybe by giving some info on it's original purpose would shed some light on some of the objects being retrieved from the other dimension, as they seem to be related. Thanks.

Hello Dreadla,

Sorry for taking so long to respond. Things have been a little crazy
around here lately and I wanted to give you a proper reply. Also our
team needed to decide whether it was the right time to be giving out
this information. We think it is.

The site located at projectb6.com represents an odd, but harmless
aberration of the space/time continuum that we picked up at the exact
moment iDGi-1 came online. It consists of a very specific swarm of
information gathered from our world, mixed with extremely complex and
scrambled code. With a great deal of effort, we were able to at least
partially organize and interpret some of the information... and the
ProjectB6 website displays the result. Our best guess to it's purpose
is that it's some sort of information log created by unknown parties
from the other dimension.. information about our Earth, taken from our
internet. The writing which displays on the site, you may have
noticed is oddly very similar to the childish scribblings displayed on
the timeline written by Employee 1195.

Our writers are eager to learn more about the nature of this
aberration, for the benefit of our project, as we believe it might
somehow represent a significant portion of the story we are cooking
up.

The countdown I'm sure you have found is still a mystery to us as
well; this ticking clock was one of the clearer bits of data contained
within the stream we decoded. We are eager to learn more about the
significance of that date. While a Sumerian connection is obvious, it
is not at all clear how, or why.

Due to the slightly disturbing nature of the material we were able to
put together, we felt it best not to widely disclose this information
at first. Instead we focused our efforts on continually monitoring
the experiences of others who perused the site knowing nothing, in
order to see if any changes occurred. So far, nothing.

Finally, you should be aware that when the deadline approaches, we may
be taking the site off-line, in order to monitor the aberration in a
safe and secure setting. If we do this, we will certainly keep
everyone informed.

And the plot thickens. This makes Henry even more confusing - if they were gathering information before we went to their dimension, how colud Henry claim we're cruel for going to theirs? It looks like they started is, whoever they are.

Strange information to gather though. Even stranger that despite collecting information from our internet, they didn't even know what the year was.

I'm starting to think that the reason we can't understand Henry is because Henry doesn't even understand Henry.

I'm still leaning towards him being an intelligent program then a sentient AI.

Four more audio files popped up today. The file trail leading to them says:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

"You are coming along well"

"well" is a .txt file that says "...whatever you are."

from the "along" folder you can start going down a path of folders that say:

"You must help me understand"

that path leads to the audio clips.

0xx040
0xx041
0xx042
0xx043

More jumbled up files with the same voices in them as far as I can tell.

Something else i noticed, and it may not be anything, is that you can see the CRC-32 codes of these files by right clicking on the column headings in the windows explorer. I know that these are for checking the integrity of your files after a transfer, but since I am new to the ARG scene, I didn't know if people use them for something else here or not.

I will get those audio files into soundbooth in a bit and see if I can't work some magic.

Idea That makes more sense than what I read before. After rereading it you are definitely right on that one

the same voice that has been giving the date
"February 28 2028"

male voice (not british)
"Cause they will return again" loop "again" with music beat about 10 times followed by a turntable scratch

0xx041

the same voice that has been giving the date
"February 7 2028"

there is something after the date that I can't make out

male voice
"just rambling now. I spoke to Melinda and she said ____?"

british male voice
"Tell me someone used this bloody thing tonight" ??

0xx042

the same voice that has been giving the date
"February 28 2028"

male voice
"Really" break "I consider myself lucky really"

british male voice
"The church has an important message."

0xx043

british guy says "January"

then the same voice that has been giving the date
"25 2028"

male voice
"It's impossible" or "Is it possible" idk which
"The only way someone could have gotten access"

british male voice
"One at a time ?listed? ?them? perfectly, within no time they were gone"

I did the best I could with these hopefully this will help us along.
I am having the same problem with the "500 - Too many accesses" on the ipaddresser site, very aggrivating... Mad

Anyone know a proxy program we can use to get around that?

And good work with the audio files. I have the feeling this might end up being like ilovebees and not making a whole lot of sense with the audio files until we have most of them, not to say we shouldn't be working them out into an understandable order, just that we shouldn't expect to learn a whole lot from them for a while.

Indeed great job on those... I remember a previous, tougher audio file had a name that sounded like Melinda being said... I guess now we know it was Melinda!

Also I was just wondering what's causing you guys to receive that ipaddresser error?! I've perused the site quite a bit and have not seen such a thing. Have I just been lucky?! does it mean too many people are accessing the site/page at once or something?

Thanks. Soundbooth 2.0 has and awesome interface for pitch and speed, but no reverse. I used audacity for that. I will try and keep up with all the new sound files as we get them from here on out, and hopefully I can go over the earlier ones eventually. It just takes time.

There is so much to keep up with. How do you seasoned ARG veterans keep stuff organized?

at the very least I've already written out (and still stand by!) what Ive heard for the first 18 clips: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=28896&start=165 --- Im still working them out every few days on a white board but am rather leaning toward waiting to get them ALL before I really dig into them again.

I'm also very, very new to ARGs myself - since starting this one, I've been lurking through a few other neat ones on these forums but not really following them. I think this story is going to continue spinning into a million different directions and so the Wiki audiomarine was nice enough to start up will definitely come in handy with this... http://interdimensionalgaming.wikia.com/wiki/IDGi_Wiki

Yeah, its about time we got this stuff onto a wiki, and I've been meaning to help out there I've just been lazy.

On that subject, I reckon we should make a wiki page for each audio file where people can edit in their findings on what they hear, so we can see if we're getting the same stuff. I was starting to do this in a notepad file a few pages back but we're getting so many new files so often, that are so scrambled, it started to become too big a job for just me.
