 		If I click that file on a new computer, or by using the method above to make the website think I'm a new visitor, it takes me into the hangman game, instead of downloading the file.

hrm, but if I do that then it completely resets my browser such that I have to wait through all of those interminable flashy bits (the eclipse alignment, the first symbol matching game, the swirly solar system explosion, the desktop appearance, just to get to the opportunity to do the hangman again. I'm not sure that it's worth it..takes forever. Glad you are able to do it though Smile

 		Ah, yeah.....Luckily I have a couple of kickass desktops, so it doesn't take that long for them (I usually make some tea or something while it's going).

 		Sorry, there's a boatload of data here....trying to sift through it. But, teaser, while I deal with all this, I'll upload the audio file I got from the process. I think it's what vidal was talking about!

 		Okay. Here's what happened.
DISCLAIMER: THE ENTIRE PROCESS FOR THIS PUZZLE IS LISTED. Certain elements may be relevant, others may not be, but I documented it as closely as I could. I apologize for the images being cut off in some cases, I didn't see that paint was failing that badly. Damn double monitors.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

I was wondering how 1tboneplayer got the notepad, and what he was talking about, so on a whim, I decided to go to http://overseer.interdimensionalgames.com (a word I got earlier). I solved hangman again, got the word "hubble" then went to http://hubble.interdimensionalgames.com, solved hangman again for the word "hatred".
At this point, the file tbone described appeared on my desktop, a notepad with blinking eyes. (This corresponds to image 1).

I opened the file and was taken to the "blue box", where it asked for the keyword. I entered "hatred", and was taken to image 3.

The file in the center changes colors (from clear to green, red and blue, then never returns to clear) when you pass over it. Clicking on it leads you to image 4.

From image four, nothing really happens until you hit "info", at which point you're at image 5. The bottom is cut off, but underneath the blue was a square box with a white square in the center. As soon as its brought over the visual representation of the audio file, the process begins shown in image 6.

Using the box, you have to chase the black distortion (barely visible, top rightish of image), otherwise you get an x, it says "crc failed" and you're taken back to image 4. There are varying percentages in the bottom left, but I couldn't really keep an eye on them. If you aren't near the black distortion, they go into the negative percentages. I think you win at 100% positive.

From there, I was taken to image 7. NO idea what that is.

Next, I was asked to enter a username and password via a file transfer, it said "lastword twice", so I entered hatred as both, and the file downloaded, as a zip file, with the audio inside.

From there, I want back to image 8, saw the change in the file, and then exited. I went back to get the IP (image 8 ), which had been flashing in the bottom right the whole time, even during the puzzle.



And that's pretty much it. Feel free to ask if you want more details, there might be something I missed that prodding me will make me remember:)

Quick note: I tried repeating the process of moving from website to website with no luck. I went from swift-->archaeology-->hasperus-->angelology with no luck. Hence, that may be irrelevant.

 		Very impressive! I'm going through it now with the word I was given. Just started and waiting for the eclipse, so I'll report back in a little bit.

 		Can someone humor me and try going directly to hubble and solving hangman? I have a theory.

Edit: and John, if you make it in, if you could grab better screenshots for the ones where I got cut-off images, that'd be fantastic.

EditEdit: Just noticed this on IPaddresser. Maybe relevant/real, maybe not.

 		Need some help here lrkr. I've tried aether (my word), overlord, and hubble with no luck. Here's what I did:
-Started a new game with one of the words in the address and got to the desktop.
-Opened the 3 diamond file and beat the first hangman game.
-After I won it took me directly to the "_LastWord_" screen followed by second hangman.
-Beat second hangman (got 3 new words, by the way) and got dumped back to the desktop with the word etched in the screen.
-Reloaded the page (not refreshed, but used the address bar) only to find the desktop just like my normal one.

Also, you were wondering before how the site keeps track of your progress. It must be through both your IP and the address you use, because it remembers each different address independently.

 		Yeah, I'm thinking that the whole method I used (i.e. going from one word to another in the address) was wrong, I just happened to stumble on the notebook file....so it's being assigned by chance???
