Holy crap!!! Here's to trying random things!! I verified it with one of mine, though I'm not sure how you got all the images--where did the rest of the images come from exactly? and how did you enter them into projectb6? I think I'm just missing something.

Now, I tried to do what you did, but we've already demonstrated that I can't type properly. As a result, I entered THIS

http://interdimensionalgames.com/cont_sr03

and got something even more different.....looks like we're finally making some progress.

Edit: apparently that works with any set of words/numbers/etc at the end, not just the SRs

Nice find Chezzo! As for the names, the Walter Greenberg is associated with the audio file. I searched the text you had found in the picture, and it is apparently a quote from a Mayan elder according to this blog: http://www.2012connect.com/profiles/blogs/mayan-elder-carlos-barrios

Well, my desktop still doesn't have the notepad so I went ahead with the "cheat" one. I got sr_04 which contained Greenburg's recording on the k1 waves. I'm a little confused about all the new, personalized information though. What files do we have and what was in each of them?

Chezzo- Can you get those pictures "naturally" or do you have to mess with the address? And in the notepad the onscreen file is "Walter Greenburg".

lrkr- If you enter any incorrect address it'll bring you to the glitchy error screen. So if you get any page without the error then there might be something there.

Haha, yeah I got that 404 error too. I thought it was cute.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

I didn't enter them into Projectb6, it was the other way around. I used projectb6 to supply me with usernames and passwords. I'm sure I could have also come here and looked at the list of hangman words.

For the first one, I pointed my browser to http://interdimensionalgames.com/cont/sr_01/ and supplied a username and password of rook. For http://interdimensionalgames.com/cont/sr_02/ I supplied a password of technology. For http://interdimensionalgames.com/cont/sr_03/ I just noticed that all the seven deadly sins work, so lets supply it with a username and password of sloth, (because we're playing this game). For http://interdimensionalgames.com/cont/sr_04/ I used energy. For http://interdimensionalgames.com/cont/sr_05/ I used demonology. And for http://interdimensionalgames.com/cont/sr_06/ I used hubble.

I'm not sure what you mean by naturally, John. Is there a link to them in the game? No. Is every other file structure on the site locked? Yes. You cannot go to http://interdimensionalgames.com/cont/ for example, as it is verboten. The PM specifically made each of these file structures unlocked.

We were meant to find them, or the PMs kung-fu is terrible.

I just listened to the entirety of the sr_04 file. Does that mean one of the voices is Walter Greenberg? If so, which one? He's not as high pitched at Employee 1549, and doesn't have the accent of the Scotsman. I guess he did say he had two months vacation...

Lol I think that this game is too confusing for me, cause I have no idea any more what any of you are doing.. or what any of this stuff means. I was glad to just get the hangman to work again and then the notepad Laughing but now there's all this other stuff

Okay, only thing I'm not following is where you got the idea to use rook, technology(etc.), specifically, for the passwords. Did you just try B6 words sequentially until one worked?

Edit: I google-earthed the lat/long coords you found for that IP...it's a house in canada.

I didn't try them sequentially, but I was trying the ProjectB6 words pretty much randomly, yes.

Who is in Canada!? Can someone go there and knock on their door!?

Oh, good to know you were trying them randomly:) I was feeling like an idiot.
Also, google has a streetview at that location as well. didn't see any info in it, but I wasn't looking too hard.

That's exactly what I meant Chezzo. The difficulty is starting to tread a fine line between clever address hacking and wild speculation. Maybe you did what lrkr did and cheated around a puzzle.

For http://interdimensionalgames.com/cont/sr_03/ at least, the whole symbol section in the bottom right has valid username/passwords. Not sure if that means anything.

John - We already established that the first addresses http://example.interdimensionalgames.com/ did not have anything to do with getting the googly eyed notebook. It was a matter of timing.

To unlock a directory structure, the PM would have had to sign onto whoever is hosting the site (GoDaddy, I believe) and turn off file structure protection specifically for each of the sr_0* file structures. GoDaddy, and every other good web host, automatically sets them to protected, because it is not a good idea to have them off.

This leads me to believe we were meant to find them.

I think he's less concerned with that than
1) our brute force methodology--repeatedly generating "unique" logins to increase the chance of that event
and
2)our current approach (i.e. manipulating the addresses to get to the files

that being said, i don't think it's unreasonable to notice the address a download is coming from, and to go back with the same password, one directory deeper.

Edit: I tried pinging the IP address to 100% loss. Either it's getting absorbed, or nothing's there.

EditEdit: We're catchingthis stuff pretty fast. Sr_06 was only uploaded on the 15th.

Man, you said it Lrkr. There have been more difficult ways to get at puzzles in easier ARGs. And there was a puzzle innit! And in re: the logins, I only used words that were on this ARG. It's not like the password was 0hn0d0n'tg3t1nh3r3, and I ran a cracking program against it. I was all proud that I solved the puzzle, and now I'm getting called the c-word.

Edit: And another thing! The .ZIP files, that we're not supposed to have yet - aren't there.
