T'was the night before Christmas
and all on the chat
children were crying
bricks had been shat

New video entry
one made to disturb
had been posted by Jay
All involved were perturbed

Dav Flamerock stepped up
"Look, here's a clue,
I just checked my mail,
There's a journal here too."

Lifegospel checked Twitter
New message from Jay
"I think I've found Alex,
Don't worry, I'm okay."

Now onto the boards
"New Entry is up"
Next post was from Chaos
"This scares me, now what?"

New Theories were flying,
"It's Brian, No, Tim."
But only four players
Saw that the figure was HIM

Young players were typing
"it's fake" they said
Others were weeping
"I'm going to bed."

The collective soon spotted
"Is that Slenderman?" "Yes!"
Lifegospel did wail,
"Looks like Jay's in a mess!"

Still no signs of Alex
Not a one, no
Then new vid from totty
Like a big, giant, "yo"

A picture or Alex
Locked in the Dark
Then, flashing letters
"Come, youaremyark"

New clue from a guest
"Is that a mask in the window?"
Lifegospel compared,
"This can't be true. Whoa!"

The players agreed
That Jay was in trouble
So they did some more sleuthing.
It was really quite subtle.

Upon first inspection,
The mask was Alex right there
But then it was Brian
(Just look at the hair.)

VonCakeman took over
"I know what Jay needs,
Just visit that tower,
Then, maybe, some leads."

ARGnet got involved
Jay's channel views soared
People were screaming,
"Please, we want more!"

The Pm's were happy
New characters came
The mantra was chanted,
"This is not a game"

Slenderman did appear
Clothed all in black
We all messaged Jay
"We've still got your back"

The game was soon over
Questions answered by Jay
He offered a sequel
We liked it, "Okay!"

The board was then archived
And put into storage
The players now searching,
On a new ARG forage.

They say that monsters come only at night,
That light will drive them away.
But not all creatures follow this rule,
Safety not certain during the day.

He hides on the fringes of your vision,
Brief glimpses of the distorted.
He slithers and writhes behind your eyes,
Reaching for you, limbs contorted.

Before you know it your children are taken,
And now it's come down to you.
His breath is oppressive, his presence acidic,
He feels pity is undue.

Suddenly, trapped in his grasp so tight,
You struggle to break yourself free.
He laughs and he gurgles and he screeches with glee,
He turns your head for you to see.

Your children are crying though their eyes are removed,
They collapse, still and silent.
His arms and legs bend pulling you closer,
The man's eyes dark and violent.

He strikes and he cuts, your skin flays open,
Your soul to weak to resist.
This should not have happened, if only you had listened,
Never go into his forest.

Whose arms were incredibly bendy!
A question was implied:
Just how many have died?
And the monster replied: more than twenty!
