That's a great concept for a game, Knolly! Sort of like a real life version of Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch's seven basic plot points. I'm sorry I missed it.

Awww, 6 I could have made, 9 I'll be at a show with one of my friends
Seeing as I can't be there, I have a question....
What made you want to do this?

Awesome. :) My first ARG This was my first ARG to incounter. I had never heard of anything like this before i happened across the blog (i was actually searching for information on extreem PTSD cases and someone game me the link to the blog...)
I came across theblog the day before the very last post we posted. So i did not actually get to be involved as much as i had hoped.
You did a amazing job of keeping me locked in though, my husband complained about how i would not get off the computer.
Dav you made my day when i found this forum and was able to read all the back story of you guys trying to put this whole puzzle together (aka all 48 pages of discussion... I read them all)
Bravo. I hope i can find one to get involved with earlier in the game instead of the day before its cut off. Anyone know of one jsut starting i could watch? I have watched the MArbel Hornets videos but im not sure how to get involved. It doesnt seem you have as much to do as there was with this one. Please let me know!!! Id love to actually get involved with one.
And a question for the PM of JAF... Where we supposred to stop "josh" before he went out? I had ths weird feeling we (meaning the people actually around to play long enough lol) were supposed to maybe warn him more or something.. But this was great reads none the less!

45 MINUTES TO PM CHAT.
Chaos, I've noted your question so it will be asked, and same with the question of ManateeLuvrWB.

IRC Chat Hi, I'd like to participate in the chat as well. I've never used IRC before and am having trouble finding the chatroom despite your tips, Dav. Could you provide a link to it or give a better description on how to find it? Your help would be appreciated. =D

Where it says channel, change #unfiction to #marblehornets. Give yourself a name, and you're in business!

D'oh, I just found out about the various Slender Man ARG's going on yesterday afternoon, so I missed out on this one, and the chat!
I'm still searching around to read up on everything that happened, but this looks like it was an awesome ride. Kudos on getting people so psyched up!
I have a question (apologies if I shouldn't post it here!): As a puppet master who feels that they've failed in some ways, what are some things that you would have changed or that you thought you could have done better? My girlfriend and I have been interested in ARG's since she stumbled over I Love Bees, and we would like to set one up of our own one day. While everything is still fresh in your mind, I would love to hear some do's and don't's that you would have told yourself, and that you would pass on to aspiring ARG PM's.
That said, I don't think you should beat yourself up too much. The ending of your blog is a cliff hanger of sorts, and that's perfectly legitimate. You're experimenting with a relatively new media, so endings that we're not used to are experimental and totally cool. Cliffhangers in books are "D:"-inducing because we KNOW it's the end of the book. Cliffhangers ending interactive media are even more so... I think your ending totally follows with the uncertain dread following the Slender Man mythos.
That, and reading through it (not even having read up on the rest of the game!) really made me sympathize with Josh. and the comments. And that one last comment:
Quote:
He isn't g0ne.
He just isn't here.
Find the HEART of the matter,
0r he'll never return.
by '0000000000 ' only makes it worse for newbies stumbling in, whether it's spam or cannon. XD I really want to hear from Joshua again, or even one of the Nine who could somehow pick up the PM's mantle in a new chapter... You potentially have a lot of room to start up something new, if you wanted! That can't be a bad thing!

The PM Chat went well, many thanks to everyone who participated. I've gone through the logs and doctored them up to make it easier to find the questions and (more importantly) the answers. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did!
Here there be logs

Yeah, I missed it, too. I wish there would have been more notice, but oh, well.
I read it, enjoyed it, and had one question I would have asked:
Were the "??" people supposed to receive a page from the notebook? dopeoplethink seemed more and more like the candidate for V which led me to believe at the end that I should have made sure the rest of the nine received their pages.
