Great find, h311b3nt!!

A bit hard to read, but I'm sure we'll figure it out.

Now those are much better, another great find!

A few things though:

1- the newspaper is called The American Tribune, not the Sentinel, so what's up with that? Another fake newspaper out there that we should find?

2 - the first page story is about the Origami killer striking again - supposedly we're seeing the origin of the killer in this game, so this newspaper would be much further in the story than we were thinking

3 - this swag box could have nothing to do with this game

Looking at some of those shots, I realized that one of those pictures, the Scott Shelby ad, is taped to a brown paperlike object, which looks exactly like the one on the killers twitter page. So maybe each person has a different piece of the board?

Also after reading what is legible on the first half of the Top Story "The Origami Killer Strikes again!" It seems that the kids death is one of Fourteen other deaths. Who could those other victims be? And why is he killing them? Maybe there is a pattern and we could see who the next victim could be (assuming its not Paige).

Now reading Paige's "Letter". It seems that like the "killer", she is also having some trouble sleeping.

and upon further examination to my previous post, Having said that the killer has killed 14 people, Coincidentally, the 14th tweet has the word DEAD in it. and i quote, "news tonight. mayor talking about regeneration of city. you can't regenerate something DEAD"

Also, she mentions in one of her tweets of a "kid behind counter laughed in my face" and "kid lives in fleapit over it with mom and brothers. No sign of dad. I went home." which could be the same kid who "burned down his house" and the same kid whose dad "left before he was born"

I noticed that in the swag box that the key on Madison's page says Motel 201 different to what we have seen on the twitter page. So probably Madison always stays at the same motel but has to remind herself of the room number.

Hey everyone. Just got home and had to read though 5 pages lol. Great job with everything so far!

Just a reminder, the first part of the challenge is observation only, as was stated on the main page. So I doubt we will be doing much for these first four days, just keeping records of everything. I also doubt at this point there is some fake newspaper we have to find. (Although I do hope I'm proven wrong!)

The words in caps are most likely clues though, that will most likely come into play on the fourth day of this challenge or the beginning of the next challenge.

This is all speculation btw.

Any who, keep it up, I love coming to this site and finding lots of good stuff to read!

There's a new trailer for the game circulating, I think I'm not going to watch any more, it's giving too much of the story away. It also just took a really silly saw-like twist. http://www.gametrailers.com/video/to-catch-heavy-rain/61299

Based on everything we've seen so far, from the trailers to the twitter etc. it seems the killer is furious with society, specificaly focusing on kids who commit crimes or act in anti-social ways, yet he justifies their actions as the results of a bad childhood, which leads to be believe its very likely that the killer himself had a bad upbringing or atleast suffered some traumatic event when he was young for which he blames his parents.

i dont really think he's justifying their actions. there's a tone of sarcasm there. imo like that's what society does. when really there is no excuse.

Perhaps justifying was the wrong word, but nevertheless theres a prominant theme of a news story about a kid who did bad and then something about a bad childhood, and then usually some kind of statement about kids who aren't loved do these things.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
This is almost certainly why the whole "how far would you go for someone you love?" theme is present within the game, the killer is apparently kidnapping children whose parents (he thinks) don't love them, and then making them prove they do.

Hmmm... Luke may be going somewhere with this "Saw-like" twist.
