Blue Leader standing by.

@DLT: I know what you mean, but it does mean that people who accidentally stumble across it don't freak out/call the police/have stuff taken off of the site.

I have to agree with DLT, there is nothing "alternate reality" about this ARG. It is an online game, that's it. At least, so far.

Progress is slow and spoon-fed to you.

Did anyone try putting the following image in the PicXaminer?
http://www.precinct52.com/assets/jpg/holding/bg.jpg

For some reason my email is invalid with the "site" so I can't test it, was hoping someone else would. It's the background on the url given when you complete the YouTube 911 call.

I don't think we'll need to refer back to stuff from last week - the brief for the game (well... viral, we can't call this an ARG) said there'd be three separate tasks, one week after another - last week was week/task 1, this is week/task 2 etc

I don't think we need to overthink this at all, looking back it's been quite simplistic, and the only time that doing something complicated paid off, it turned out that we'd jumped the gun (I'm talking about the guy who got the anagram from the /rainisfalling source code which then lead us to the perfectfolds twitter). Everything else has been spoonfed.

The evidence is up. Is a zip folder to download with a lot of pics.

EDIT: THINGS LEARNED FROM EVIDENCE

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

IMAGE 1: Chewing gum. White but with red tint. Flavoured or has it come into contact with something?
IMAGE 2: Cigarettes. One barely smoked with lipstick (fake smoker?) and one smoked through without lipstick mark.
IMAGE 3: Coffee cup with a logo. Pharoah? Sphinx?
IMAGE 4: Leaflet torn in half. Where is the bottom half?
IMAGE 5: Do we have the killer's footprint?
IMAGE 6: Origami bird.
IMAGE 7: Letter from police - our task I assume
IMAGE 8: Witness account. New Twitter: [url[http://twitter.com/sleeperinthesun. Marked as #2. There must be more.
IMAGE 9: Tissue
IMAGE 10-13: Various tyre tracks.
IMAGE 14: A red whistle.
Can you upload those pics? Tried downloading evidence.zip on both Safari and Firefox, but had no luck yet.

Evidence Query

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
IS it just me or is there something really off about that 'Murder Bird' piece of origami. If you make one yourself it has nowhere near as many folds. Really noticeable on the head and body sections where the picture shows a criss cross and you do not get that from just making the model.

Oh the irony, I kinda laughed when "sleeper" said this:
Hungover. But days are fine. Sunshine. Passers by. Good people. Others like me, in the same boat. It's the nights that kill you.

Anyway, Is anyone good with cars?

I'm guessing witness number 1 was the person that you had to try and keep on the phone in the little Youtube challenge.

Been following this topic for a few days now too, this is pretty interesting stuff. Very Happy
