Macro args?
Arg's for only one person

I've decided to try and host my first arg, however, rather then making an open one, sending out trailheads for people to stumble over, making a centralized narrative for just one player, a friend of mine, who's personality and interests would be perfectly suited for something like an arg.

For a first time puppetmaster, I believe this could be a great idea if planned and written well, allowing you to keep track of a more immersive plotline.

Any ideas on any major issues with this type of "macro" arg?

One of my favorite parts of playing an ARG is sharing it with others. And when I am stuck on a puzzle the community is there to help out.

Point taken, I think that indeed is a bit of a risk, however the puzzles will only be of light to moderate difficulty, most of the action will be played out via RL intrigue.

If you really know this person then you can tailor the ARG to them directly with the puzzles having more personal meaning that they would have otherwise.

As long as the person knows it's a game and doesn't call the cops.

Right. Or make you shoot your brother by accident and then jump off a roof of a building in an attempted suicide. Wink

I think the term would be "micro"-ARG, actually.
