 [TRAILHEAD?] VeraSci

Hi guys, was sent this by johnleeSPLATvera-sci.com:

Quote:
I just launched my new blog – you can find the link at www.vera-sci.com

Just had a quick look over it, says the year is 2184. I've contacted them through the form but nothing yet. My guess is there's something viral going on with it, what do you guys think?

Considering the parallel link to the blog, the references to the big announcement....yeah, i'd agree. Gonna keep an eye on it:)

I have activated my ring of lurk-ability for this one.

Nothing special in the source except a missing image "pixels.gif" with "soon" in a comment tag on several pages.

Thoughts:

http://johnleeblog.blogspot.com/
This looks to be interesting. "Big things" are happening at the company, there's talk of missions to Saturn, and CNW appears to be the news channel. The N probably stands for Network.

The Research section of the website mentions that they "look to the heavens for inspiration and resources". Maybe they'll try to raid some other planet for some rare mineral? Unobtainium, perhaps?

In the careers section, they call it a "graduate programme". That spelling makes me think it's not U.S. based.

I sent them an email asking what kinds of research they do and how I could get involved.

Yay!

I don't know how many of you are watching this closely, but John Lee just updated his blog; seems upset, said we're getting a big update on Wednesday...Might be picking up:)
I think we should keep an eye out for any way to log into the main verasci website, I bet there're goodies in there:)

The VeraSci HQ building may have been built to resemble a building from our time....

Disregard all images on the site as they are from a template a company sells.

Looking at that template and the VeraSci website, it seems that the login looks like it has been specifically added - ie relevant, not just eyecandy. I don't know if this is of interest or not, so I just thought I'd point it out.

The relevent post can be found on John Lee's blog (http://johnleeblog.blogspot.com/), which is IG. To quote the relevent post:

The 75th anniversary of VeraSci has gone to David Hunter's head, there is no vision here! I still can't believe what I've just seen, and other people need to see it too. There are going to be some changes around here. Will have an important update on Wednesday...
