Hmm...

Maybe Slenderman is simply the physical manifestation of TVTropes?!?!?!? Shocked

Oh god! D: OH NOOO!

No no, it makes perfect sense...

They aren't tentacles... they're WICKS.

LOL. That is actually, in some ways, equally terrifying. xD
TVTropes aides procrastination.

(TL;DR: Yay for Marble Hornets, I think it is nifty.)

I think that some things that I love about this series include the effort that these guys go to to make Brian's place look extremely run down and ransacked.

I mean... when my friends come over and we hang out the most I have to clean up is a bunch of dishes and snack detritus. Can you imagine being the owner of that place and having to clean all of that up?! XD

Then again, if they're college kids AND bachelors they might just leave it like that... XDD (Just kidding)

Something else that I really enjoy about the entire series is that it's a slow burn of horrific things. I know a lot of people hate the wait between videos, but that's not necessarily what I'm talking about.

In a lot of conventional horror shows these days, it seems like the creators are just aiming to startle us or gross us out. They have all of this money to work with in order to create a movie, but they all kind of wind up looking the same. :\

I just like that Marble Hornets is in a different format. It follow certain conventions but I think that I enjoy the way that it's being laid out. There are a few "OHGODWAAAH!" moments, but that they're playing with stuff that is making folks scared of the dark again is pretty keen. XD I think they're doing a great job of grabbing our emotions and giving them a good twist.

Maybe it's that they're also college kids and that inspires me to get off my butt and do stuff, myself, that isn't just for classes. I mean... once Marble Hornets is over, anyways. D: Right now I'm still glued to the screen keeping up with comments and spinning my own yarns about what this all could lead to. XD I didn't mean to get caught up as a fan, dangit, but this is a lot of fun.

I agree! So much. I'd also like to say that I believe that this little project is better than so many horror movies made these days (*cough* The Unborn, IMO *cough*). I think it's amazing that this is so well thought out and well developed.

Not sure if this is a trout.
but has anyone noticed the multitude of sleeping bags in entry 23?
one in the closet/mancave, another in the bathroom.
why, when making the set ready for this entry, would they put two sleeping bags down?
possible support for the multiple masky theory, tho i dont believe in multiple maskies personally.

Isn't there a ripped one in the room with the (X) next to the door, as well?

That there are so many might suggest that several people are squatting there. Whether or not that means multiple maskies could be significant.

Jones, I <3 you.
Razz

In all seriousness, that was something I never noticed. It means there was more than one person.
Shocked

Could be that they (MH Crew) just had multiple sleeping bags and they threw them around.

Maybe the inhabitant of the house likes to sleep in multiple places?

I hate that Masky is now most likely totheark, because it means that Tim is most likely totheark, and it really seems like it should be Seth. Plus, I liked it when totheark was more mysterious. Like, when we couldn't put a face to him. Oh well.

This multiple sleeping bag thing could just mean that totheark and Masky are partners-ish and they both live there, or at least stay there.

Someone brought this up before, a couple of people agreed, and it was never spoken of again.
I think it is entirely possible that having a mask stops SM from seeing you.
After all, it could finally explain
1) why Masky was/is alive so long if he was in SM's 'lair'
2) the operator signal.
the cross in the circle probably means 'no face'
but maybe it isnt referencing SM, its referencing how to AVOID SM
