Kate nodded at David and moved toward the entrance of the house, making sure to pick up the SCAR-H she had set down. "Come on, team, let's move it. Someone get Mia," she said ordered them, noticing the girl missing.

Just as she was about to reach the doorway she started coughing like hell, needing to hold herself up with the doorway. "Fuck," she coughed out, clearing her throat. "I don't feel sick, what the hell," she murmured to herself, preceding to leave the house, aiming her weapon in case of any dangers or threats.

To be quite honest, Nik didnt know what happened.

Somehow, someway, she had separated herself from the group. Well, she at least knew that noone probably paid attention to her getting caught up in some tracks in the forest, but she could have found her way back, right?

Guess not.

Her sense of direction was FAILING. That was what she blamed it on. Maybe it was time to become a suburban house wife.

....nah. She'd live in the middle of nowhere with a horse before she did that. Country house wife was a lot more appealing.

Before she could do any of that, she'd have to find her way back to the group. This forest was scaring the heck out of her anyway.

Radio blaring. Windows rolled down. Sunglasses.

The enormous black truck rumbled down the highway, as Jude grinned through the windshield and went over a mental checklist of his supplies. He knew from experience he needed a lot more than standard weaponry, and knew fromhis gut feeling that he was headed in the right direction. That was Jude for you.

Fingers drumming on the steering wheel. Smile plastered to his face. Barrelful of tap water in the trunk.

He was chasing his man, knew his man, would get his man. He hadn't really stopped to consider failure, failure meant failure, and that was not about to happen to Jude. He knew his man's pattern, had tracked the damn monster all down the west coast, watched the thing torment those poor kids in Alabama, wasn't about to let it happen again.

The small town he was headed toward came into view more fully, and sure enough, he found his man's calling card waiting for him as if with open arms. For. Oozing, dripping, permeating from the little town. Fog everywhere.

'Time to get down t' business...'

Willing his body to move, Terrence craned hsi tired neck to the side to watch as Mike was dragged out of the house by David and Kate. He had heard the murmuring shouts and the quiet crying, from one he assumed to be Gavin. The whole group marched out of the house at once, it seemed, while the blue eyed man scanend them all over.

'So no one is dead, we're all still alive...'

He smiled slightly, too tired to move or too speak, but relieved to see hi sfamily in good health.

With that, his sagging eyelids gave way and feel over his eyes once again.

Faye tripped, heading towards the Suburban, intending to check on Terrence. Reaching the car, she leaned against it, gasping for breath, before poking her head in the door.

"Terrence, you okay?" she asked, still breathing heavily.

His eyes snapped open. He hadn't intended to fall back to sleep, but somehow or other, his exhaustion had finally caught up with him. And that was a helluva lot of exhaustion. When Faye snapped him back to reality, he gasped.

"Oh...hello...Faye..." The white-haired man yawned and gave a weary smile, barely capable of keeping his eyes open. It was almost as if somewhere, somehow, the life and energy was being drained out of him...

But for now he paid it no mind, and did his best to keep his friend, even perhaps his sister's face, in focus. Another smile and he was mostly awake, at a stable amoutn anyway.

"Good thing i desided to unlock it earlier," David said as they entered the front door, "To get to where all the med crap is we need to head through the garage." He took them through the house to the garage that looked like it could hold 6 large trucks in it but there was only one small shape under a tarp. "Through here." David said as he motioned towards the dorrless enteryway that led to the small veternary clinic his mom ran.

No sign of anything. It was deathly silent. "Creepy," murmured Kate, walking toward the house.

"Nice garage," she smirked, but noticed a car with a tarp over it. She paid it no mind as they made their way into another room. "Set him down here guys. Hey, where'd Faye and Terrance head off to?" she asked, glancing back. They were back at the suburban.

Oh, right, the civ hasn't even left the car yet.

She started coughing some more, scowling slightly because of it. Damn it, what the hell?

"Oh...hello...Faye..."
Faye frowned a bit, noticing how exhausted Terrence looked. "I'm sorry I had to wake you up Ter, but we've gotta go inside Dave's house and recuperate and stuff..." Giving him a wry grin, she added, "I'd carry you, but for some reason I bet I can't..."

Gavin stopped looking around as they had moved to the house. He was on the walkway to the door. Where was Faye? He turned back to see she was talking to the now waking up Terrence. He walked back there as Terrence was just waking up fully.

He grinned. He liked Terrence. He seemed like the cool laid-back, smooth the waters guy of the family. Gavin opened his mouth.

But no words came out. He shut it quickly.

Wow I just embarassed myself there He began walking to the house motioning for them to come.

The well-framed man sunk further into his seat, like a stubborn child who didn't want to move after the long car ride home. What had gotten into him? He himself wondered dimly why he was acting this way, but Faye brought him out of it with her offer to carry him.

"It's...alright...I n-need some rest, just a little bit...go with Gavin..." He gestured to the excitable boy, who seemed incapable of speech. Gavin was a nice man, and Terrence sincerely hoped he could protect the younger of them both throughout their ordeal.

'Quite a real family we've formed...' Thought he'd have liked to speak the words out lous, he found himself just plain unable to, what with his exhaustion.

He made a hand motion once more for Faye to leave, smiling reassuringly. He'd be okay. He wanted her to know that.

Wheels crunching against asphalt, Jude parked his truck at a gas station just on the outskirts of town. Stepping out of the truck, he gazed out onto the horizon, a stern look on his face.

'Judgin' by the amount of fog, I'd say this is a complete takeover...given Black's propensity for being unseen, that would make sense...' Jude thought this to himself as he began to fill his tank with gas. He knew he'd need it for the long journey to come.

Once that was done, the enormously built man placed his hat back on top of his head and grinned a little. It may have been a tough, shit-eating job for no pay, but dammit, if it wasn't one of the most intriguing business's out there.
