Jake raised an eyebrow, before saying cockily, "You may want to wait until you can walk without landing in undignified heaps on people to take a shower...though for some reason, I imagine Kate wouldn't object to giving you a shower..."

Craning his head to look at Andrew, Jake's face twisted into a wry grin. "If you came here for the chicks...this is a sausage fest, pal. Only 4 girls here," with a mischevious grin, he added, "And most of them seem to have been staked out already..." Trailing off, he laughed again, a mellow sound.

Faye winked at Mia, her devilish grin a perfect mirror of her brother's, before looking back at Gavin, who had asked what her dream was about. Ah, shit, I wasn't going to share my actually dream. Think fast, Faye, crap! Faye grinned, then answered, "Well...my dream was about 10 foot tall Carebears chasing me through the woods, trying to eat me alive..." She smirked at him, pushing her bangs out of her face, then added, "Those little brightly coloured mutha fuckas are SCARY."

Mia shrugged. "I guess so..." she said apologetically. "I'm sorry..."

She blushed immensely as she heard him tell Andrew that most of the girls there had been "staked out" already. Does that include me? she wondered.

"You're right, I should wait until I can stand straight," she said. She sat down, taking great care to sit in a way that wouldn't reveal too much. "I hate skirts," she muttered.

David couldn't stop laughing, "Oh shit guys i can't breathe, this is to funny!"

He then turned around, hit his head on a cabinet door that he left opened earlier, and fell to the ground still laughing.

Mike felt useless. He tried to do something nice but he just couldn't stomach it when it counted. "Ugh...I truly am Jack's wasted life." He looked back at the remaining body and felt both guilt and some more stomach acid bubble up. He puked again at just the thought of picking it up. Well..if he couldn't do this, he could at least find a marker. Pulling his machete, he went over to a door and started hacking it into a rough shape of a tombstone.

"Sorry Gav...this will have to do." he said to himself.

Kate sighed a little, knowing Mike must have felt like shit. She glanced back once more as he started hacking out a piece of the door, most likely to mark the grave. When it started looking like a tombstone, it was certain.

She psyched herself up a bit and proceeded to complete the task they had set out to do. "May you rest in peace," she said to them.

By the time Mike got outside, she was already filling the grave with dirt. Her hands were covered in both dirt and blood, but she had made sure to wipe her hands of the blood when using the shovel. "Ahh...ahh..." she breathed, breaking a sweat.

Mike offered her the marker.

"Here, I got this part. Wanna go get Gav and the rest? Pay our respects and all that? Might wanna have Gavin put the names of his folks on this thing. You know, before we haul him out here."

He thought of Gavin and realized, even with all this, the kid lost his parents. Kinda like Mike did. Sure, they were still alive but even years ago they wanted nothing to do with him. "Poor b**tard."

She finished the task, patting the dirt to make sure it was nice and level. "Ahh...yeah, ahh, let's go get them," she said, a little tired. She didn't do much heavy lifting.

"Grab the bag," she said, wiping her hands of the dirt and blood. "I don't want to hold it," she said, motioning to her hands.

She stopped for a moment, realizing that her parents had a similar fate as Gavin's parents. She didn't know for sure, but she was starting to think that her parents' deaths were caused by the same thing that did it to her brother. We will kill you. I'll avenge all of my loved ones, she thought angrily, another tear escaping her eye. She tried wiping it off but she didn't want to get her face bloody. "Damn it."

Gavin smiled knowing this was a lie even laughing a little. "Mine was similar only the horde of monsters were copies of a naked Mike. They were after me." he faked a scared face then laughed.

Admit it my dream is way more scary!"

Andrew pretended to make a shocked face.

"I had such plans to hook up with someone. Imagine if I'd gone down a different road. I might have ended up at a single's dance place. Oh well. I guess I'll take surviving a monster as a consilation prize."

He grinned. He was finally fitting in.

Jake snickered as he heard Mia mutter what sounded remarkably like "I hate skirts..." to herself. "I would imagine they tend to be uncomfortable, but since Faye over there shops in the boys' section, she wouldn't KNOW." He gave Faye a grin as he said it, and was rewarded with a punch, dead to the shoulder. Grimacing, he rubbed his shoulder, looking back at Mia. "I suppose I should get a shirt soon..." Trailing off, he raised the volume of his voice. "David, can I borrow a shirt from you?"

The moment the question left his mouth, David's head collided with a cabinet door, and David was instantaneously on the ground, laughing hysterically. Jake couldn't help but grin, and he openly began to laugh when Andrew spoke, saying something about single's dance night.

Faye turned as she heard a thunk, then burst into hysterical laughter when she saw David sprawled on the ground. "D, come on, how many times have you run into that cabinet door now? At least....50 times? 60?" Snickering, she turned back to Gavin. "Wow...naked Mike's...I'd have woken up sobbing if I'd dreamed THAT...you win." Faye gave Gavin a grin, before turning to Andrew.

Her face completely serious, Faye asked him, "Well, you know, there's always David and Mike....if you swing that way." Faye made it for a few seconds before she broke into laughter, leaning against Gavin while she fought to breathe past her laughter.

Mike shook his head in agreement and walked with Kate back over.

After walking into the house, he started looking for Gavin and, seeing him messing with the new kid, heard something about naked Mike chasing him. He couldn't help himself. He handed Kate the marker, shh'ed her, grabbed a towel and went to the bathroom.

"Oh this is gonna be excellent..." He giggled.

Kate only face-palmed upon realizing Mike's plan. So, she simply hid away from sight but close enough to hear what was about to happen. Well, this should be hilarious.

"Very funny Faye," David said as he stood back up, "your lucky your shorter then me." That hit to the head he took made him remember he was supposed to put Kate's uniform in the washing machine, so he ran off to do that before she got back.

Mike burst out of the bathroom wearing only a towel and started sprinting, yes, SPRINTING towards Gavin.

"RAWR!!!!!" He screamed, running at the kid, making play of attempting to get him when, in fact, he wouldn't grab him at all.

Gavin couldn't stop laughing. He was on the verge of tears as he laughed at Faye.

Then it happened. Mike came charging from the bathroom at him. He slipped away from Faye and began to run laughing the whole time.

Mia watched blank-faced as Mike ran at Gavin, screaming, wearing only a towel. "Where have they been, anyway," she said quietly to herself. She was feeling immensely better, emotionally anyway. She still was too weak to stand but hearing everyone happy and laughing had cheered her up. Even regaining some of her memories, albeit bad ones, made her feel more stable now that she knew more about herself.
