Kate sprawled onto the floor, rolling into the living room, laughing her ass off as Mike chased Gavin out of the other side of the living room. "Oh my ga- oh my ga- AHAHAHA!" she exclaimed, rolling onto her back in pain from so much laughing. "You civvies...oh my gah..."

Mia raised her eyebrows as Kate walked into the room, laughing. "Is that...blood?" she asked, pointing to her hands.

Kate stopped laughing enough to prop herself up, still slightly chuckling. "Mm, god, I needed that," she sighed with a smile.

"Is that...blood?"

Kate grimaced again, being reminded of why she and Mike were here. "Uh, yeah, it is blood."

Faye was still laughing at both Andrew and Gavin when Mike charged in. With only a towel on. "HOLY CRAP, MIKE!" was all Faye managed to choke out, her eyes practically bugging out of her head. She yelped as he made a bee line for her and Gavin, thumping her head on the couch as she jerked back from him, squealing girlishly. "Oh...my GOD!" she yelled as Gavin streaked away, Mike tailing him.

Jake couldn't see past the tears streaming down his face from laughing so hard. He wiped at his face, his ribs aching from laughter. "Oh...geez..." He reached over and covered Faye's eyes with one hand. "This is getting a bit too mature for you, dork." He chuckled, grinning ear to ear.
Faye and I never had much of a family experience, this is great....Faye seems happier than I've seen her since mum died last year, too...

Gavin kept running with a fake petrified look on his face.

He couldn't stop laughing but this had to end cause this was wrong. Mike can take a punch right? he thought as he stopped and gave a punch with his left arm to Mike's shoulder. Mike fell on the floor in no pain because Gavin was right handed, but soon embarrassment.

Mike's towel had fallen off.

Mike broke down, laughing hysterically, not only for the situation but also for the punch. He made a play of falling over but, unfortunately, the towel fell. Even more unfortunately, he didn't notice as he continued laughing.

"I'm going to see if Mike hasn't scared the poor kid to death," Kate said, walking off. She chuckled a little at the thought of Mike doing that. It was hilarious. But the funnies had to end. "Hey, Mike-"

Mike was sprawled on the floor with his towel fallen off, Gavin seemed to be completely embarrassed.

"Oh, man," she chuckled at Gavin. "Come on, Mike, put back on your clothes," she told him, walking away giggling.

Still laughing, Mike sat up and clutched at the towel that, currently, wasn't there. Looking down, he suddenly realized his issue. Turning beet red all over, he grabbed the fallen cloth and ran back to the bathroom to get changed.

Mia giggled, seeing Mike's towel abandon him. "This is ridiculous," she giggled. She reached up and covered Jake's eyes. "You shouldn't look either," she laughed.

She still wondered why Kate had blood on her hands but she figured Kate would tell them soon enough.

Kate had quickly washed her hands in the kitchen, making sure she removed all traces of the blood and dirt. With a sigh, she walked upstairs, not after Mike, but to see if her uniform was clean. She saw the washing machine stop and nothing in the dryer.

"Least it's clean," she murmured, going to the washing machine, taking out her jacket, and put it into the dryer. She saw her Ranger tab, along with her rank and extra pins neatly stacked on top of the washing machine. "Thank you, David," she said to herself, turning on the dryer.

She looked down at her hands. Frowning, she wiped at her pants with them. The feeling should go away soon. She still felt as if the blood of Gavin's parents were on her hands.

Jake's face transformed into a grin as Mia's hand went over his eyes, like his was over Faye's. "You shouldn't look either," Mia laughed. Raising his eyebrows, Jake fumbled his hand up over Mia's eyes, saying, "Hey, hey, no fair, we're about the same age, meanie!" He giggled boyishly, feeling Faye and Mia shaking with laughter still.

Grabbing his knife in one hand, and the handgun in the other, Remmy, looked around slowly, spotting movement, he fired the Desert Eagle toward the area where he heard the crack.

*Blam!
"Argh" screamed Remmy, as the force of the shot blew him down, smashing the hilt of the gun into his nose, breaking it. Quickly he stood up, crying, sure that the end was near, and looked to see that he had only hit a racoon. Relief flooded through him, but then survival instinct took over.

Quickly he scooped up his supplies, and ran, worried that the sound of the shot and the smell of the recently dead racoon would bring predators, animal, or other...

Running through the darkness he finally stumbled on a hill, where he saw the outskirts of what appeared to be a road. Then he blacked out.

Gavin stood there a mixture between embarrassment and laughter. He had a smile, but his eyes showed shock. He walked back over to Faye. He shivered.

"I told you. It was absolutely horrific. Imagine that times ten!"

[Serenity]

Waiting for her uniform, she couldn't but stare at the doorway to the bathroom. Mike was in there, dressing himself back up, so as to not freak out the civvies anymore. She sighed, thinking about the small noble act that he had wanted to do.

He was really sweet. Not just a big, meat head like everyone thought. He could be really thoughtful at times.

Kate walked up to the bathroom and waited outside for him, wanting to talk to him before they told Gavin about his parents.

Mike changed quickly, then looked at himself in the mirror.

"Well you muscle-head, you really did it this time. You cheered them all up just to knock 'em back down. Dumba**." He stretched a little and performed a couple of Yoga stances. "Well, a little levity is good, I guess. Now...the hard part. Gotta tell Gavin. I wonder...does he even want anything in that house? I sure wouldn't want anything to do with the house that has my parent's blood sprayed all over...and I don't even like my parents. Well...I'll leave that to him."

He breathed deep and exhaled. "Ok, Mike, lets go do this." He opened the door and almost walked right into Kate.
