Mike was torn. Was this the time to crack a joke? Bah, there was NEVER a time to NOT cracka joke. He pointed at Jake and Mia and said , "SHAME SHAME, KNOW YOUR NAME!" Truely, he was happy Mia was happy. He didn't want her to waste her life like he did. 'Course, his was much slower paced then cutting his wrists.

Besides, didn't matter now. He was content. Wait...did Kate say hooked up? Did that mean they...were they a couple? He let himself smile at that thought.

"Use protection," chimed Kate, making fun of them along with Mike. She laughed out loud at Mike's words to them, making her smile. "You're really funny," she smirked.

"Though, sometimes, it's a little inappropriate."

Mike shrugged. "Hey, my comment pushed the line. Yours crossed it and kicked it in the nuts on the way."

"Ahhh!" Mia squealed, blushing, pressing her face into Jake's shoulder. She had wanted to ignore them but the comments embarrassed her too much. First Andrew, and now Kate and Mike too? "We weren't doing that!" she exclaimed. "Just... it was just... Leave us alone!" She began to giggle.

Mike sent Kate into a giggle fit, forcing her to cover her mouth. Ahh! I don't giggle! She cleared her throat and looked back at him. "Let's go find Gavin," she suggested, walking into the living room.

Suddenly, Mia squealed from the comments, making Kate laugh again.

Faye frowned. Hearing David's car approach, she let Gavin go inside. Faye sat on the curb and waited for D to appear, not caring that she was shivering.

Jake smirked as Mia spuealed and giggled, then pulled her into yet another kiss, to spite Kate and Mike. He laced his hands together behind her back, pulling her against him, ignoring Mike and Kate.

He was way too far into his state of bliss to even care who was watching, at this point.

Mia gasped slightly as Jake ignored the comments and kissed her again, pulling her against his chest. She slid one of her hands down to let it rest on his jaw lightly. She kissed him back and soon she'd forgotten all about Kate and Mike. She ran her fingers through his hair and lightly drew circles with the tip of her finger behind his ear. "Mmm," she moaned softly. She didn't want to think about anything else.

David pulled the car into a powerslide and stoped it right next to the curb where Faye was. He put on his aviators, turned the engine off, and didn't say anything to her. He just sat there in the drivers seat.

"Yeah. We need to find the kid. Get his head on straight, let him get some closure." Mike said. "Soemthing I never really got myself." he thought.

For this simple man, it was enough that everyone seemed to be happy. He still was confused by all these weird emotions; it was all foreign and new too him. He was happy.

Gavin glanced at Faye saying she wanted to wait for David. He hesitated. He didn't want her to get sick, but he understood who knew David best and gave her the towel leaning in and whispering.

"Don't go overboard trying to make everyone happy." he smiled and went inside. He saw what may have been a place for couples to hook up as Jake and Mia were on the couch together and Mike and Kate were standing together. He smiled.

"And everyone's been giving me a hard time for liking someone."

Andrew had left for the kitchen when Mia and Jake had gotten up and Faye and Gavin had left. He saw where things were going. For being considered a know-it-all he was pretty good at it. Looking through the food Kate and Mike had brought from Gavin's he found an apple and looked at the rain.

He loved the rain and all rainy weather. He smiled. This is the life. he said sitting down and putting his feet up.

With Gavin front and center, or as close to it as a civi could possibly hope to get, Mike took to opertunity presented to him.

"So Gavin, Kate and me were thinking..." Mike said, not really sure how to say this. He looked to Kate for support and, slipped his hand into hers, "...Um...we know you been through a lot since all this s**t started. I still remember punching you the f**k out when we first met." He said, with a grin. "But I'm getting off track...Umm..Kate and I...we went to your house...see? And we saw what happened to your folks..."

Mike looked at Kate for support, not really sure how to continue.

After taking a short shower to make himself feel more relaxed, the whire-haired man had picked a room and sat down in the middle of it, concentrating on relaxing his muscles and his mind. It was his habit to meditate during stressful situations and happy ones alike.

Right now was one of the stressful situations.

His stomach churned, and strange images blurred behind his eyelids while he meditated. The blue orbs in his head slowly began to move about, forcing the eylids open. He didn't know what set him off, but suddenly he felt frantic, in a state of complete buzz.

And yet, he couldn't move.

Something, or someone, was preventing him from doing anything, as his eyes began to spin about in his head. They shook and shivered all around, causing Terrence's vision to go to Hell, while the entire rest of his body went numb and did not move an inch. Panicking, he tried to scream, only to find that his mouth was locked shut, as well. All his efforts were in vain, while his eyes bounced wildly in his head.

Wha tscared the lanky man the most was not the event itself, but that he had seen it happen in only one other person before. A person, no, a thing which he loathed with every fiber o fhis being. When finally his eyes calmed down and his body returned to being under his control, he stood up in a fury.

He remembed seeing this phenomenon before, in only one person.

Faye looked up as David's car skidding to a stop, the wheel a few feet from her body. Standing up cautiously, Faye came over to the car, leaning carefully over the passenger's side door to talk to David over the sounds of the rain. He had his aviators on, and Faye knew that meant he was avoiding having to look at her.

Raising her voice a bit, Faye asked him, "D, something's definitely bothering you...what's wrong?"

Jake grinned, his mouth still on Mia's, as she hummed lightly, feeling her fingers along his jaw and behind his ear. Running his hand up her back to cradle the back of her neck, Jake was completely absorbed in his kissing endeavours. That is, until Gavin had come in, interrupting them with a mocking, "And everyone's been giving me a hard time for liking someone."

With a satisfied smirk, Jake pulled away from Mia, his face flushed, and winked at Gavin. His face quickly turned serious, though, as Mike began to explain where he and Kate had been to the boy. He turned a bit, hooking an arm around Mia's arm and twining his fingers through hers, curious. Maybe now they'd know why Kate had come into the house with bloody hands.

Mia felt Jake pull away as Gavin came into the room, teasing them. She saw him wink at the other guy and smiled slightly. Then they heard Mike. She turned around to face him, lacing her fingers between Jake's and leaning back so the back of her head rested gently on his shoulder. She squeezed his hand gently as they listened for Mike and Kate's explanation.

That was amazing, she thought to herself, smiling.

Gavin looked slightly confused. Mike was having trouble explaining whatever they had done for him. Then he heard a screeching of wheels out front and Faye leaving the steps. He was back.

Gavin ignored this after a seconds thought and as Mike and Kate struggled for words, Gavin looked at Jake and Mia. Well they didn't take too long he chuckled realizing of any of these new relationships it'd taken him longest to confess.

I was right I have been an idiot he thought looking back at Kate and Mike.
