[Watson]

Along with a few other phrases Terrence dared not utter, mainly the one told him by The Tall One, this new word flickered around in his head. If it was different to be...'gay', he didn't mind. His features already made him strange, and his history was certainly a wealth of oddity.

"I am...distinguished...f-for being gay...oh well." He pulled his limbs up onto the bed quietly, pondering things for a while. He hardly noticed when Faye left the room, and even less so when hedrifted off int odreamless sleep.

Gavin was headed for the garage when he ran into Faye who had left the, as he observed, now sleeping Terrence. He looked at her a bit awkward wanting to know what had happened in there.

"So what did you guys-" he realized how nosey he was being and pulled her into a hug. "-I don't wanna know. He'd have told me if he wanted me to know." he said smiling.

"Wow," Mia said, impressed by the thoughtful gesture by Mike and Kate. It also meant going back over to that house would be a little easier, and maybe now Gavin would relax a bit.

She sat there leaning against Jake for awhile, lost in thought. She figured she might as well tell him what she remembered about herself.

"Hey," she said quietly. "I remembered a little bit about myself. Not everything, but... just a little."

"Sure, I'm happy to listen." Mike said.

He was a little shocked the woman could get such a tight grip.

"I found my brother's notebook a few hours after I found my unit," Katherine said, starting off. "I didn't bring it. It was the notebook that I had given him before he enlisted in the Marines. He gave me one too, but that's...gone, along with my gear. I don't know how his notebook got here, so I can only...assume it was..."

She rubbed her tired eyes, recalling the thoughts she had pushed aside earlier. "It must have been that thing," she said, gesturing toward the forest nearby the town. "Judging from a few pages of his notebook, he encountered that damn thing too. I haven't read it all, frankly, I don't want to...but I think it got him. He mentioned something about my parents too, so I think that thing took away my parents too, when we were just five."

"It's taken everything away from my life. My parents, my brother, my unit...all that's left is me."

She rested her head against his shoulder, feeling out of it again, like earlier. "You're all I have left," she whispered, though, whether it was to referring to Mike specifically or the 'family' was anyone's guess.

Faye squeaked a bit when Gavin hugged her, startled. She grinned into his shoulder, wrapping his arms around him in a return of the hug.

Giggling a bit, she said, "Be grateful you didn't ask. I'm not sure you'd really want to know, actually..." she laughed, then added, "You'll find out eventually, though, so it's okay."

Hugging him tighter, she laughed when she saw Jake and Mia, acting very couple-y through the doorway.

"Hey,I remembered a little bit about myself. Not everything, but... just a little."

Jake looked down at Mia, who was leaning against his bare torso, and gave her a reassuring smile. "If you want to talk about what you remember, I'll listen."

Mia glanced at Mike and Kate, who were having their own conversation. She didn't feel like sharing this information with everyone just yet. She turned to face Jack and looked up at him, biting her lip, her head still resting on his shoulder.

"When I was thirteen," she said quietly, "I was diagnosed with psychotic depression because I kept hearing this voice in my head. It would tell me all these terrible things... I don't remember specifically what, but I know I was scared. So incredibly scared. They gave me medicine, but it couldn't stop it. When I was 15 I tried to kill myself by overdosing on pain medication... and then when I was 17 I did this." She motioned slightly to one of her wrists. "Each time, I spent months afterward in a mental institution but nothing they did worked... When I got out the second time, I was 18, and the day I got out I don't remember anything else but seeing him. That tall man in the suit." She shuddered slightly. "I'm 22 now and I cannot for the life of me remember anything else about my life." She fell silent.

Andrew looked at Jake who was distracted by Mia. He kept the smile on his face and rolled his eyes.

"Great, puppy love." he whispered.

Gavin blushed slightly as Faye tightened her hug on him. He looked down at her and smiled.

"Well guess what Mike and Kate have done for me? It's a good thing this time." He widened his smile as he thought of naked Mike.

"They buried my parents so we can send them off. The whole family. So could you please get David? He's part of the family too." he said kissing the top of her head.

David snored loudly, he had fallen asleep in the car. His knee hit the horn abruptly waking him, "SONUVABITCHMONKEYFARTIN'HELL!" He yelled as he jumped in his seat, hit his head on the roof of the car, and knocked himself out.

Jake listened, eyes wide, to Mia's memories. He grimaced a bit when she showed her wrists, then grabbed one of them, running a thumb over one of the thin lines braceleting them.

"I wish you could remember more, and I think you will with time....even if what you do remember now is....frightening. And, even if you do remember more, and it's scary or sad, I don't want to you....do this," he help up her wrist, "Ever again. No matter what that voice tells you. If you hear it again, tell me, okay?"

Worried, he slid his hand off her wrist and clasped her hand again, his brow scrunching slightly as he thought.

Faye grinned at Gavin. "Did they, seriously?! I've gotta give those two some credit...that was very sweet of them..." Trailing off, she nodded, turning to go get David.

As soon as she took a step towards the garage, she heard a horn, then David cussing, and broke into a painful run, straining her bruised back. Skidding to a halt by the door of the car, she looked around frantically, then pieced it all together. David is unconcious....his forehead looks bruised...the horn honked and I heard him cussing...

The idiot had knocked himself out on the roof of his own car. Laughing silently, she leaned in the window, poking David's cheek. "D, come on, wake up..."

The Tall One walked into the town, keeping to the shadows. He went in alleyways, across the lots, around the bends...always, always hiding just out of sight.

His faithful companion was gone, resting in the forest. For a moment, a face with no eyes turned to glance down...pondering? Wondering?

It looked back up now, that familiar tilt of the head as it stared at the house. Slowly, it walked past a window...moving on to another hiding place. A place to watch, to wait.

It stared. And stared. That was one thing people seemed to agree on, appearance and powers and manner of dress be damned. How the thing WATCHED you, almost contemplative...

So when it finally turned, finally turned to look at something else...well, it'd have been quite a shock to anyone staring back. It could sense something in the air, FEEL one of the beings...

Ironically enough, to this Slenderman they were as alien to him as he was to them. But that feeling...

It was the one, the reason that the being was here in the first place. This one was different, energy different. His head snapped up, and slowly, the thing's tentacles sprouted.

Latching unto the ground, they lowered him off of the building and unto the street. Even more slowly, he began to move.

It had been one like the Masked Man. A potential ally, one with use. But this one was too rebellious, too uncontrollable. It's powers, it's very PRESENCE a mistake.

A mistake that would be corrected.

"D, come on, wake up..." an angelic voice said that brought him back to conciousness. David groaned, "ugh, i taste purple. wha happa?"

Mike was quiet for a moment, soaking up what Kate just shared. She lost her brother and likely her parents to this...thing. At least, that is what she thought. Closing his eyes, he puzzled over what he should say, if anything. He heard some side conversations but decided to focus on Kate's...at least, for now.

"Oh man..." he thought, "I am totally going to kill IT for all this s**t."

"I'm...sorry to hear what happened Kate. I...I met this thing before too. When I was in grade school, I watched it open up my friends. I warned 'em not to go to it. I saw it and I ran. People didn't believe what happened...they accused me but didn't have any proof. My parents, they thought I did it too. They had to move because people were scared of me. Finally, they kicked me out after I got expelled. I can't even remember my brohter's face. That, and I'll never progress past grunt 'cause I stopped my Sarge from assulting some girl. One long chain of failure; starting with IT."

Faye laughed. "You smacked your big fat head on the roof of your car, from what I've gathered...wait, how do you TASTE purple..." Faye laughed again, a clear sound, shaking her head. "You really knocked yourself silly, didn't you..."

"Okay," Mia said quietly. "I won't. I promise." She shut her eyes, feeling his warm hand on hers. "I don't want...everyone to know about all that," she said. "I mean...I just don't want people to look at me and think I'm crazy..." She looked up at him, eyes imploring. "You don't think I'm crazy, do you..?" she whispered.
