Jake grinned playfully as Mia pecked him quickly on the lips.

"I can stand up now, so I should be fine."

Jake looked up at her, then laughed, saying, "Well, just try not to fall in the shower, okay? Though....I wouldn't object to rescueing you if you did." He gave her a wink, then leaned back on the couch, waiting for Faye to come back in from the garage.

Mia blushed and smiled at him as she walked away. Maybe I should fall on purpose, she thought. She shook her head as she walked up the stairs. She went into David's sister's room and dug through the closet some more for some clean clothes and grabbed the only other two black things she could find, barely bothering to look at them as she set them on the sink, turned the water on, and stripped down. She glanced at herself in the mirror. Her makeup was wearing off. She sighed, figuring she'd find some makeup in David's sister's room. She turned the water off so as not to waste the hot water and wrapped a towel around herself, running back down the hallway.

Jake heard the water turn on, then abruptly off again. Looking up at the ceiling, he rubbed a hand over his arm bandage nervously before standing up, trotting over to the stairs, brow furrowed.

Can't hurt to check on her, I guess. Taking the steps two at a time, Jake reached the second floor, headed towards the bathroom. About halfway there he came across Mia. Who was, in fact, wearing nothing but a towel.

Jake coughed, choking, when he took in her....scanty....attire. "Uhm..." he coughed again, "Is everything okay up here?"

"Oh," Mia said, surprised. "Yeah, I'm fine. I just was going to go get some makeup... I figured there would be some in David's sister's room that I could use." She cocked her head to the side. "Why? You okay? You're coughing."

Mike blushed again.

He watched Mia take off, followed by Jake. He didn't hear the shower go off as he was occupied.

"Umm...Kate? Do you think they are doing what I think they are doing?" Mike asked, nodding in the direction of Jake and Mia, face somehow going redder. "I mean, I know the girl lost her memory and had a hard time of it but...you know...time and a place." Mike said, not knowing Mia regained some of her memory. "I mean, I guess since IT ain't here right now we are fine but..." Mike stopped. "You know what? Never mind. I'm happy for 'em." He finally said, smiling. "I don't wanna rush Gavin," he said standing, "but we should finish this thing soon." He extended a hand to help Kate up. "I also...think I have a plan."

Jake coughed again, clearing his throat awkwardly.

"Ahh...just a bit surprised." He raised his eyebrows, looking down at her towel briefly. "Yeah..."

Rubbing the back of his head awkwardly, he looked up at the ceiling, not too sure what to do.

Mia smiled faintly. She loved when guys got flustered.
"Want to come help me look for the makeup?" she asked, motioning toward the bedroom with one hand while keeping the towel around herself with the other. She walked past him, grinning, slipping her finger through one of his belt loops and tugging gently. "Come on, let's go find it." She let go as she continued walking toward the bedroom.

Kate watched Mia go upstairs, turn the water on and off for some reason, and was followed by Jake soon after. "You're right, time and place..." she muttered, rolling her eyes. "Kids and their hormones," she chuckled, looking back at Mike.

Mike then said something about not rushing Gavin, which she agreed, but then she looked suspiciously at Mike when he said something about a plan. "A plan...?" she questioned, accepting his gesture and let him pull her up. "What are you planning, McManus?"

A plan for what?

"That thing. It...I think the Overseer called it Slender Man...It screwed with all of us. I think we should all kill it." Mike said, looking her in the eyes, "I normally wouldn't want the kids and civi's involved but several of them act as Slendy-Radar. I have some incendiary grenades...not many, but 10 or so, and we have some Molotovs. We know it hates fire. At least, I think I saw it freak out before I was hurled into a tree. We kill IT, we're free. No looking over our shoulder, no more memory loss..."

Mike's usual smile was absent as he outlaid his plans. Even he knew it was suspect, at best, but he was certain none of them would truly be safe unless IT died.

Jake stumbled as Mia tugged on his belt loop, then smirked, following after her.

"Come on, let's go find it."

"You know, you're awful bossy, aren't you?" Jake teased, staying out of smacking range. Walking in the bedroom door behind her, he leaned against the door frame, eyes gleaming mischeviously.

"Well, killing it is all fine by me, but you have an outline, not really a plan..." she said, thinking. "Maybe we should ask the Overseer a few questions, or Terrence. They both seem to know quite a lot about this motherfucking bastard..." she growled.

Kate thought for a moment, recalling their encounter with the thing. "It screamed when it was on fire and ran into the forest...and the Overseer came from the forest..."

Did the Overseer see the result? Maybe it's actually dead already, she thought hopefully.

"We can't forget about those masked freaks, though, I saw like two of them when we fought it," she said, looking out of a window. She looked over at Gavin's house, seeing the fresh grave they had dug near a tree. "Before we start planning, I think we should go get Gavin and the rest to pay our respects," she said, smiling. "The kid needs it."

Mike nodded his assent. It was strange to even have someone listen to him, let alone even consider his words. In a move of uncharacteristic forwardness, leaned over, kissed Kate's cheek and grinned stupidly with his eyes shut.

Katherine blushed slightly at the sudden kiss, not expecting it. "Um, let's go find Gavin," she said, clearing her throat. "I think he's outside," she added, looking out the window again.
