David sighed, "I'm just going to have to tell her aren't I?" He whispered, Last time i told a girl I liked her she stood me up for senior prom.

Andrew was....praying. Despite(and he knows himself)him being a bit of an asshole he understood how painful it must've been to see those bodies. Mangled. The people you love. When done he came into the living room and layed on the floor near Kate and Mike.

I wonder how I would feel if these people were lost. he thought drifting to sleep.

"Right?"

Jake blushed lightly, looking carefully away from Mia, then nodded. "O-of course not!" He protested, his blush spreading to his ears.

"Unless you can't see where I'm looking, that is." He muttered, laughing.

Faye cocked her head, hearing David mutter something, but she couldn't quite make out the words. She swiveled hearing Gavin approaching. "Hey, Gav, I found him, he was knocked out in his car. Like an idiot."

Snickering, she grinned at David, saying, "You gonna get out of the car any time soon, D?"

As Gavin neared growing more wet he saw David and Faye talking to each other before Faye broke off explaining the situation. Gavin smiled.

"You'll have to explain that more thoroughly later." You'd better go ahead and gather everyone. I need to talk to David."

Mia smiled slightly, seeing him blush. "That's true," she said bemusedly, sliding past him to go look in the closet. "I'll just have to be careful," she said, laughing slightly. She began rifling through the shelves and, finding nothing, dropped to a low kneel, resting back on her heels and looking around through the short set of drawers at he bottom of the closet.

Jake watched Mia searching, absentmindedly checking the top of the closet, leaning over Mia. Finding nothing, he rifled through a stack of girl's clothes, frowning slightly. This must be where they'd been getting their clothes. Mia and Faye, that is.

Girly ass clothes, these are. I'm surprised Faye didn't just go naked, instead of wearing these. She was always a weird tomboy...

Laughing quietly to himself, he continued searching.

Faye nodded to Gavin, then grinned at David, giving them both a wave, before heading back to where Mike and Kate had been. Walking into the room, she saw Andrew lying on the floor, and leaned over him, crouching, then poked him, concerned.

"Sup?" she asked, curious.

Leaning against the wall in the main room, Desmond kept his eyes shut and hummed a tune his mother had once hummed when he was a child. She was gone now, part of the reason he was even here. He drew in deep breaths and exhaled them slowly, pondering.

He sensed acommunal connection between the group of survivors he had found, an interesting bond formed quickly over a period of stress and intensity. Could he, too, be included in that bond? Or were they to far secluded in their happiness to allow a newcomer in?

'What a bother...' The man thought to himself, in deep meditation with his brown hair falling in chunks over his eyes. Reaching into his coat pocket and pulling out a free cigarette, he lit it and peered out the window at his truck longingly. He wanted some fuckin' music playing right now...

Andrew was slightly dazed but mumbled an answer.

"Oh, you know, sleeping, getting poked in the face, watching romance everywhere like i thought would happen."

He grinned.

David sat in the car still looking as Faye left. Gavin turned to him not knowing where to start.

How do I say did you ever meet me in a McDonald's? But he tried.

"David. I think everyone here has a past connection with at least one other person. I say this because I need to ask you a question." he said staring at him. "Do you remember me at all?"

[Serenity]

Kate noticed Desmond, realizing that she had yet to speak with him all this time. "Desmond, I'm sorry for ignoring you a few hours," she chuckled, standing in front of him. "What did you want...is that a cigarette?"

Cravings kicked in.

"Uhh, mm, you mind if I have one too?" she smiled, suddenly realizing how bad her cravings were. How long had she gone without one?

Weakling!

She eyed the cigarette.

MUST HAVE ONE.

"This is useless," Mia sighed, pushing the drawers closed. "Where else could it be? I already checked the bathroom..." She turned slightly, looking around the room. "Nothing on the bookshelves... the nightstand maybe?" She looked up at Jake, who was standing above her. "What do you think?"

[Watson]

The tan skinned man peeped one eye open, chuckling warmly and holding the cigarette in between his fingers. He watched Kate's fingers twitch slightly, her lips quiver, eyes following the cigarette as it dangled and dripped ash from it's end.

The clarity in which the burly man observed people was sometimes unnerving to most, and he hoped these people would not be suspicious for it.

"Aye, sure thing sister. Take all ya' want." Reaching into his coat pocket again, the man grinned playfully and handed her the pack he had. It only had a few left, but he was offering all he had, out of pure habit and good nature.

"Y'all seem quite at home here...even with that beast lurking about..." His comment was serious in tone, but he waved a casual hand toward the window as he said it, smoke from his cigarette blowing in circles as he did so. He smiled at Kate cautiously, and took a drag.

Kate smiled and thanked the man, gingerly grabbing a cigarette from the pack and placing it into her mouth. She grabbed the lighter from one of her pockets and lit it, taking a satisfyingly satisfying drag from it. She smiled widely and smoke blew away from her mouth.

"Oh, I needed that..." she sighed happily. "Thank you, sir."

He then took on a slightly serious tone, which made her pay attention to him. Though, his smile made her think it was just how he usually spoke. "Yeah, we're quite a family, alright. Anything less, we might surely die. We keep each other safe, y'know, 'cause we care about each other."

She looked at him again, taking a another drag again before speaking. "Pardon my manners, sir. I think we didn't properly introduce ourselves before," she said.

"Corporal Katherine Connors."

Shifting his weight to face the petite woman,(or, at least compared to Desmond's over-200 lbs. frame) he extended a large brown hand in the woman's direction, and smiled at her. His thick Scottish accent came through when he spoke, and the smile on his face crinkled his goatee.

"Desmond. Desmond O'Conell. Nice ta' meet you, sister."

Sister. It was a habit he had picked up from his parents, and their religious habit of calling people brother and sister. He didn't mind, it gave him a sense of communion with those around him. Even those who hated his guts. Darkly, he thought of his old friend Marco, the weasel who he'd thought he could trust until...

Shaking the thoughts from his mind, he siled again at Kate, his voice evening out to it's normal tone again. When he spoke, it was with a certainty to it which most people lacked.

"Aye, seems you lot might need some help here. Might be a great family, but that wont stop the Big Man from makin' hi srounds, if ya' uget my drift..." Motioning to his car, Desmond chuckled. "I got supplies in that truck what might help ya' out more'n an gun ever could..."

Kate smirked at him. "Oh, really? What exactly do you have in there?" she asked him, looking out the window. "Flame thrower? Crucifix?"

Kate looked at Gavin's house out of the corner of her eye, seeing his parents' graves again. She felt her hands again, for some reason not able to shake off the feeling of blood on them. "Actually, never mind. We can get to that later. We were actually about to go pay our respects to the parents of one us, his name is Gavin. Would you like to accompany us, sir?"
