In the meantime, Tricia was beginning to wonder if everyone gathered in this factory was just... mentally gone. She was scared, yes, but the way that a few choice people here were acting was setting off bells in the back -- no, make that the front of her mind -- was beyond the pale. Then again, maybe that was just the fact that people were toting heavy weapons and talking about faceless men mass murdering and rampaging through the woods...

She had picked up some of the rabble rousing from the people hanging around the table full of guns, and was keeping a half an eye on them... but Gavin managed to surprise her when he literally shoved a sidearm into her empty hands. She instinctively grabbed at the weapon, inadvertently holding it by the muzzle and hammer, though she didn't notice the discrepancy. She stared up at Gavin with an aghast sort of gleam in her dark eyes, small mouth hanging slightly ajar. "I... I... uh."

She looked down, shuffled the gun around so that the grip was properly in her small palms, and looked up again. Gavin was gone.

In his place, a lanky blonde (? XD Correct me if I'm wrong!) man had wandered over, and extended his hand. Tricia felt compelled to give some sort of reaction, as shell-shocked as she was feeling by now, and so she freed up a hand from the sidearm's grip to be enveloped in a short handshake. Her hand was a little bit clammy, though that wasn't surprising given how uncomfortable she was feeling. "Hi," she replied automatically.

His last comment caught her off guard, and Tricia broke into a nervous grin. "You'd think this was a reunion bash, the way things are happening. I'm Tricia -- Trish, actually." She glanced under Terrence's arm to watch Gavin and the others preparing to move out, along with the soldiers that were making final preparations. She watched as the soldier that Mike had slugged was rubbing his jaw, giving the big man a serious stink-eye. "So... what makes everyone so sure that a 'monster' is coming to attack us? Can't we just sit this out?"

((Hey folks, I PM's Tyran about Slenderman, and who is playing him and how. I have an idea that I'm waiting for him to approve. Has he been participating in the RP for the last couple of days? Would you like someone to actually honestly play this guy in the meantime, or does Tyran have sole proprietorship over the bigbad?))

Faye dusted her palms off on her greyish cargos, uneasy. Everyone seemed completely on edge, and the tense atmosphere was almost palpable in the air. Crossing her arms, she ducked past Terrence, plopping down next to Trish. Giving Terrence an encouraging smirk, she leaned closer to Trish in order to be heard over the din the crowd was making. "This all must seem completely mental, huh?" She smiled ruefully, eyes tired behind sweaty strips of fair hair.

((that's my point. No offense to Tyran, but he isn't on as much as us so it could be a few days before we get out of the factory. Are we gonna spend the whole time looking at guns when in real life these people of ours would be making a run for it as soon as possible.))

Gavin had reminded everyone what their main goal was. Now he would need to explain why this situation was so serious to Trish. He walked over and sat down next to her.

"This is probably really confusing huh? Here is what I can tell you. This monster, well, I don't even think this amount of military personal can handle it. I believe it has killed hundreds, maybe even thousands of people. The military was never able to stop it before and they won't be able to stop it now. However we're going to survive by getting out of here. You joined our group so to me your as good as family. And i always protect my family."

The final statement made his stomach lurch. "It" was nearing closer and more than that, he had not protected his family in the past. His eyes flashed and he saw his parents dead bodies sprawled on the factory floor. He flew backwards where he was sitting and blinked. They were gone.

"Alright lets hurry and get the hell out of here."

((Gerkin, you may just have to slow down a little in order to wait for others to catch up. It could be that Tyran will log in tonight and get things moving, or it might not. Either way, I'm going to wait until around the end of the day for him to poke his head up and say what's up on an attack, but here's my idea, for anyone who is interested!

Slender Man seems to me more like a predatory animal than a movie villain. He's known for snatching children away, yes? So it seems to me that his modus operandi would be to single people out and dispose of them that way, if he decided to go on a rampage (which I think is kind of OOC but whatever, you guys have already started that and it'd be dumb to retcon when you guys like badass guns so much. XD) ANYways. What would you think about Slender Man only making brief appearances on THIS thread, and most of the action taking place via PM's with characters who get singled out? That's not to say that if someone is alone with Slendy, they are instantly going to die. It just means that each encounter is individualized and Slendy's motives remain more mysterious to everyone as a whole.

This way people may also get bits of hints of things to come, whatever those are, which seems more in keeping with what everyone is looking for out of Slenderman fun. (Unless I am mistaken and you guys just want an RP where tough guys fill him full of holes and save the day, hollywood style. o.o)

In any case, Gerkin, I'll toss up a post once Watson's said his bit. X3 I for one am fine with having a short conversation before getting hustled out of the building!))

(( and i can handle that as much as anyone. I'm saying i'll wait for today and tomorrow. However tomorrow night is when i'll be back(leaving at 4) and I will move the story then. I know that Tyran isn't on as much as me because i have no life and i don't have a problem with that. But this might turn into a pattern if we have to wait for a few days just to progress the story cause we need the slenderman. No offense to anyone, but i don't want to have small talk for like three days with our characters just cause we need to have slendy do one thing. I like the plan, but our group is supposed to stick together so how is anyone gonna be left alone with slender))

Forum games always follow lulls and highs, I find. Having a mod who is punctual really helps, thought hat can't always be the case. :c Hopefully Tyran will reappear soon.

Anyways, 'how is anyone gonna be left alone with slender': The way I see it, Slendy (and potentially his minions) have odd powers over others, at least in terms of making them forget things. Could contact people via PM to see who's up for a blackout, and proceed from there. It seems like you'd like to take control of moving things along if Tyran doesn't pop up, though, so if you want to snag that first, I don't mind. XD I'm just trying to think of ways to make this more of a suspense and horror and less of a shoot 'em up gig!))

((Mike is meathead. He believes that all things can be fixed with a fight. Were he a more scholorly man, he might link his love of fighting with his guilt of running away when Slendy opened up his friends like so many candy bar wrappers. What he believes he can do to Slendy and what he can do in reality (I just now see the irony in this statement) are two VERY different things. Slendy teleports. Slendy controls people. Slendy makes people forget. More than anything, Slendy STALKS. It is just we have not had anyone to play Slendy in a long while. Well, long to me and Gavin, haha.

FYI, guys, heading out of town for a little Valantines vacation with my wife. Drag me around, make me forget stuff, it is all cool. Just don't get Mike killed while I am gone, hahaha. If someone wants to play Mike, go ahead, you all seem to have a grasp on what he is like.))

((we don't really have a plan and that's what makes it fun. We're all spontaneous and go with the flow of things. If it's all planned out and we know what happens to me it won't be fun knowing the conclusion to a story i'm apart of. I just kinda thought we'd keep running and eventually get out of town safe. Then somehow slendy finds and stalks us and we go from there. To me a plan kinda ruins an RP. You know exactly what you gotta write and do which makes it extremely less creative. There's so many people now that whenever someone posts something then someone else criticizes. When this first started it was what an RP should've been. A go with the flow thing))
