(Oops, sorry dudes.)

The Overseer looked over the factory for a moment, examining the crowd. Now that they had everyone together, he was suddenly stuck as to what to DO. They had been dropped here via helicopter, and he knew for a fact waiting for another one (or a group of them, considering how large the group was) wasn't good enough.

The Slenderman would not sit back while his prey escaped. He considered commandeering the various vehicles in the town, but the reports of people simply vanishing from they're cars...no, they'd have to go on foot.

He moved through the crowd that had gathered inside and outside the building, weaving his way through before finally getting somewhere near the entrance, near the middle of the crowd.

"PEOPLE! We've decided that we're moving out soon. Get everything you can, and we'll be leaving in a few minutes."

He looked past the entrance, into the forest. There was a low fog there, moving closer to the factory.

The Overseer shuddered. They'd have to hurry.

 A challenger approaches...

((Could I join in on this RP?

Tyran gave me the go ahead but I don't know, I felt I should also seek for the approval of the active players and not just the person who created the thread.

Thanks for wasting your time and reading this. Very Happy))

Of

There was a tapping, every moment or so. A thin, rubbery...branch? Something was hitting the ground, repeatedly. It's brothers and sisters walked with it, lifting him up...he lay in the air, cradled like a doll.

He was so tall...looking down, he could

see them

The ones in black and green, toys in they're hands stared back. Looking for him. Indulging them, he started to walk out from the trees.

The fog got closer. In there, shadows moved. The Tall Man and his Masked servants, on the hunt.

Yeah, yeah, on vacatin with wife, but just giving voice to the subject. And no worries, Tryan, like me and Gavin said, we really just sit there f5ing the forum. XD

As mentioned, since these tubes are unreliable, please control Mike if you guys need to move the plot along. I'll get back to my regular F5ing obsession when I get to work on Tuesday.

Very Happy))

Kate's Bio
With a quick recap of what she's been through so far.

Name: Katherine Connors

Age: 26

Gender: Female

Appearance: She has short black hair that reaches almost to her neck, light blue eyes which turn green if you stare at them long enough, and a small scar on her left cheek caused by shrapnel from a mortar round. She is 5"10' and weighs 176 lbs. She wears her standard Army Combat Uniform, but her gear is all but gone.

Items/Weapons/Abilities: An M9 pistol with only ten bullets left in the magazine, a canteen of water, a lighter, and a picture of her and her brother. She possesses the combat capabilities of an Army Ranger, has very good vision, and can run really fast. ((Just might come in handy.))

Class: Army Ranger

Bio: Growing up with only her brother, Matthew, Katherine lived a harsh life. Her parents disappeared when she and her brother were only two, leaving them orphaned. Many years later, both of the siblings enlisted in the military, but into different branches of it. Her brother went into the Marines, while she joined the Army. Ever since the reported disappearance of her brother, the young soldier has lost her go-happy-lucky attitude she used to sport around trying to cheer up her team whenever she could. Now she was the one who always needed to be cheered up.

After being in reserve for a year, her unit was called back into action and she was sent here, into the middle of nowhere. After her team received its orders, they set out to rendezvous with "S-Walkers", which they were not briefed specifically on. They weren't told a reason for being out here except for what to do. Her unit strolled through the forest, but her team somehow became separated from the rest of the squad because of the thick fog. After some panicking, she blacks out.

Gavin jerked his head to the side when there was little noise. He hadn't noticed that he'd stood up. Thud........Thud, he was getting closer.

"Guys, this is it, he's nearing the factory. It'll only take him a few minutes it's time that we leave." Gavin walked over to Mike. He barely knew if the others would do what he asked. He knew there was one person who could make them leave. He put a hand on Mike's shoulder.

"Listen outside Mike." Gavin said as Mike heard the thudding. "That's him and he's almost here. We gotta leave. The others won't listen to me so you tell them."

The Overseer looked outside the factory. The fog was getting closer, god, it was right at the tree line now.

He raised his arms. "PEOPLE! Listen, it's time we got moving! Come on, we'll get you out of here, but we have to stick together!"

He made a gesture to his team and they followed him through the crowd and out into the courtyard. "Set up a perimeter and watch out for anything. Cover the crowd at all cost. We need to get these people out of here."

The Overseer turned to look back at the factory. "What are you all waiting for? We are LEAVING!"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Masked One charged across the field, avoiding the stares of the people as he moved. He moved up against one wall of the factory and stopped for a moment, lifting up his head to stare at the crowd of people. He could see them around the corner, could see the ones with guns moving outside.

They would see him soon if he wasn't careful. He slunk against the wall and raised himself, looking back to the trees.

the master is here...

The Tall One came out of the forest at last, dark form barely distinguishable from the trees all around him. Tentacles resembled branches, long thin arms looked like trunks.

There was almost no semblance of humanity left, just a thin mass of tendrils and multilayered arms.

It let out an inhuman shriek and started to move towards the factory entrance, bullets doing nothing but agitating it further.

The Forest
Five hours ago...

Corporal Connors slowly opened her eyes as she regained consciousness. Her vision was blurry, as if she had been crying for a while. She craned her head down and blinked a few times, trying to figure out where she was. Her vision started to clear and she could make out the outline of some trees.

With a cough, she shifted her body, feeling the thin tree scraping her back. She clenched her hands and realized she was holding a few things. She looked down to see her Beretta in her right hand and five bullet casings in her left. With a confused look on her face, she pushed up against the tree to stand, her legs too numb to use properly.

"What happened?" she groaned, looking around. She craned her neck to the side; it cracked once, a good sign. "Neck feels like hell..."

She dropped what was in her hands and felt her head which felt like someone had beat on it senselessly, non-stop. She felt the top of her head, her helmet was gone.

With a gasp, she checked herself, realizing that all she had was her uniform. She checked her pockets, hoping that her hands found something.

A canteen of water, her lighter, and nothing else.

She checked her breast pocket and found the picture of her and her brother, sighing happily. She always kept it close, it was the only thing she had of him left.

Putting away the picture, she frowned as she looked around. There was nothing here. She made to move away from tree, but her foot smacked against something.

My gun, she thought, picking it up from the ground. She checked the magazine. Ten bullets remaining. The casings must have come from her gun. But she didn't remember firing it.

She couldn't remember anything. All she remembered was panicking and blacking out. Where was everybody?

She heard a thud and gasped, her natural instinct was to aim the gun at the source of the noise. She could barely see anything in this for except for a meter or so in front of her.

Get a hold of yourself, Kate, she thought, steadying her nerves. "O'Brien? Sarge, is that you? Douglas? Johnson, Gonzalez, Ramirez, anyone there?!"

She heard no reply, making her even more uneasy.

They wouldn't just leave me here...what happened to them?

She started forward, her hands making sure they had a firm grip on her gun. "Hello?" she called out, scolding herself because of her voice quivering. "Guys, this isn't funny. Come out!"

She had suddenly bumped into something with her leg, scaring her out of her wits. She backed up into a thick tree, gasping at what she saw.

It was the remains of her team. Their corpses were mutilated beyond recognition but she could make it out their emblems: Ranger. The ranks on the uniforms all matched with those from her team. There was no doubt about it.

She shuddered and bawled, tears streaming down her cheeks. She had served with these men for almost eight years, they were the only people she could actually call "family". And now they were dead, just like all the people in her life. Her parents, gone. Her brother, gone. And now her unit had suffered the same fate.

"N-no!" she cried out, sliding down the tree. Her breath hitched in her throat once as she continued her weeping, "What happened to you?!" she screamed.

Kate laid there for hours next to her dead friends, her cries unheard by the world around her.

((Well, that was fun writing that! Just for any future queries about this, she's out in the middle forest, a long ways away from the factory. This is also a few hours before the current time, so I'm just trying to catch her up.))

The Forest
Two hours ago...

Katherine woke up from her nightmare. She blinked a few times to regain her sight, feeling her eyes itch and sting as she did. She had been crying, weeping, and must have dozed off in the middle of it all.

I'm alone... She took a few deep breaths, her throat sore from all the crying. She craned her head to the side, knowing that her friend's corpses lay just a meter in front of her. She couldn't bear to see them like that. With a depressed sigh, she pumped herself up, forcing herself to stand.

Someone had killed her unit. Her friends. Her family. She wanted vengeance, but she realized that who ever had done this to her team must've been very intelligent and powerful. Her friends were in shreds and there was no sign of conflict. No bullets marks anywhere, no footsteps anywhere, and no signs of life other than her friends. Well, they were dead.

She shivered, feeling suddenly cold. I have to get to the rendezvous point, she thought, hardening her resolve. She dried her cheeks of a few fresh tears she had let fall. "I'm sorry, O'Brien..." she whispered in the direction of her C.O. "You did not die in vain. I'm going to kill whoever the hell did this to you."

She started to walk away when she noticed something on the ground. It was green, her favorite color. She approached it and crouched down to touch it. There was dirt and leaves on it, covering it partially. With a light brush of the hand, she dusted it all off, revealing a green, spiral-bound notebook. "What the-"

A twig cracking under a pair of feet alerted her to a presence. Grabbing her pistol from the ground nearby, she aimed it in the direction of the noise as she rolled up the notebook and stuffed it into one of her uniform's pants pocket. "Who's there?! Show yourself!" she ordered, checking the safety of her gun. It was off, she realized. She didn't remember taking it off. "Hello?!"

The fog suddenly became thicker and thicker, so thick, she could barely see anything. "C-come out or I will shoot!" she yelled, training on what she thought was where the crackling came from.

She suddenly felt a deep, low exhale from in front of her, as if someone was breathing on her. She screamed and fired her gun at it, suddenly too scared to think properly. "Who's there?!" she screamed, fearing for her life. Her heart was pounding as she felt a strange presence. It felt...monstrous. Something that shouldn't exist. As if a demon was encroaching in on her.

That's when she saw it. When she saw Him.

She was too shocked, too dumbstruck to do anything. She just stood there, staring at him as he stared back at her. It has no face...

Her instincts took over. She fired three rounds at him, all in at his head: they didn't miss. She fired again, thinking she missed. Five rounds into his chest. She was sure she didn't miss. Why was he still moving?

Bullets had no effect on him.

She screamed and began to run. She ran as fast as she could, the feeling of Him not leaving her. He was still after her. She panted as she kept running, the thick fog thinning bit by bit. Was he in control of the fog?

Hot tears ran down her cheeks as she kept running, fearing for her life. She just ran and ran and ran. When she got tired, she kept running, not wanting to glance back to see if it was still behind her. After an hour or so, she realized the fog was all but gone. She slowed down and came to a stop against a large tree. She could make out a town beyond the treeline.

The factory! I have to reach it! She started taking deep breaths, trying to slow down her heart. It was beating at a mile a minute. She remembered the canteen she had and drank a from it, realizing how thirsty she was.

How long has it been, she thought to herself, since I woke up?

She rested for a moment, checking herself over once more. She seemed fine. She still had her pistol, but with no extra ammo, it was useless to her if it just had one bullet.

Dark was approaching. She grabbed her lighter and used it to light up the way as she ventured passed the tree line and into town. It was a ghost town. Buildings were decaying and there were barely any lights out on the streets. The fog, though very thin, still didn't let her have a good view of the factory from here.

She took a deep breath and pressed on forward. She suddenly remembered about the notebook she had found. Grabbing it from her pocket, she unrolled it and tried to straight it out a bit before looking at the front.

Kate gasped as she read the name on the cover. "Lance Corporal Matthew Connors...?"

((Sorry for the triple post, but to clarify, and so people don't get confused and such, Kate's making her way to the factory now, so she should reach it right as everyone is mobilizing out of there. Just one more post should do the trick! Very Happy ))
