Faye smiled at the girl, holding out the half-full canteen.

"Sorry for taking it from you in the first place," she said, shaking hair out of her eyes. "My name's Faye, by the way. This idiot here, he's my brother, Jake." she nodded her head Jake's direction, blinking as spots danced in her eyes from the sudden movement. Sweat still soaked her body, and she groaned, trying to give another weak grin.

"I picked an awful time to catch a cold, didn't I?" she joked, slightly loopy.

Jake sighed and thought hard on what'd just happened. It was nuts he just didn't believe it despite it happening infront of him. Infact, he refused to believe it. he was now convinced that there was some unseen factor to what had just happeneed. There was no way that....thing could of really doen what it did to those people. He shook his head and looked down at his sister,who was laying on his lap just like she would do as a child, he frowned and then put one hand on her forehead on her forehead and his frowned deepend "jesus Faye your burning up.....you need some rest" he looked over at the other two for a moment and the stated "we all need some sorta rest....infact we a better place to rest and hide in....any suggestions?" he asked this in an almost arrogant tone. He had a tendancy to do this when worried for the well being of others he found important to him. In this case it was his sister.

Then the new girl asked about her canteen and jake felt his head perk up from his sister as his eyes searched around. Then turned his ehad back to see his sister giving the canteen to the girl. He sighed at her poor joke and then jsut stated "well that canteen wont keep us all alive...guess we should add getting provisions to our to do list..."

Gavin turned to Faye who seemed tense. Extremely tense. Even though she was laying on her brother's shoulder her hand was in a ball. And she seemed more depressed. What had she dreamed?

Katherine smiled as she was handed back the canteen and drank some of it.

"Thanks," she said, placing the cap back on, putting it away. "I'm Kate. Nice to meet you, ma'am," she said, shaking Faye's hand firmly. She still kept the notebook clutched to her chest with one arm.

She noticed another person, looking back at them. "Hello," she greeted him.

Jake stared at the girl in a very confused way for a moment then just said "hello.....i'm jake....and i'd love to greet you properly but I am kind of busy trying to plan what to do to keep us alive" he said in a now annoyed tone of voice. He didn't want to be mean to the girl but all these introductions seemed pointless and distracting "really guys.....we gotta find a better place to hide in....preferably something with food and maybe medicine" he said glancing at his sister.

Kate frowned a little but brushed it off. Tensions were high, there were more important things than this. And everyone seemed very acquainted with each other, she almost felt like she was intruding on them.

She straightened out her face, wiping her cheeks of any tears she missed. This was going to be one hell of a night.

((Also, if I may ask, are there any soldiers with us?))
