Mike snapped out of his internal conflict as he watched Gavin hurl himself from the vehicle and proceed to then hurl all over. Before he could react, his thick skull smashed against the seat in front of him, not at all helping the headache he got from the cracked skull. "D**n, Mia sure can fricken hit hard..."

He was gonna hop out but David beat him to the punch. For the moment, he decided to just wait it out.

He looked to Kate, Mia, and Terrance. "You know, I never got to hear your stories. Looks like we got us a second to kill..."

Gavin layed there in the most pain he'd ever had. It hurt to talk but he did.

"I'm......sorry but as you.......can see......didn't have a choice....." He sat up and puked again into the puddle. Blood, but less of it. He screamed in the absolute pain and wished that he could pass out now of all times.

"Shoot me Jesus Christ, just shoot me..." Gavin didn't really want it but the pain was controlling his thought process.

David looked through the medkit he took from Faye and took out a syringe labled morphine, "Sorry but i aint much of a medic and gav, this shit might make you trip balls." David then injected Gavin with some of the morphine.

Faye, who had frozen in panic and complete fear, watched dully as David gave Gavin something, presumably morphine. She kept seeing odd flickers of movement out of the corners of her eyes. Is it my fever, or am I really seeing things...What the fudge... she started to turn her head everytime something moved in her peripheral vision, but she refused to move from Gavin's side until he stopped screaming.

"...Hold that thought, guys..." Mike tells his fellow stragglers.

He hops out of the car hearing screaming and seeing Faye's head lulling, then twitching one direction or the other. ((I think that was kinda what you were describing, no?))

"...What...the...f**k?"

Kate was about to reply back to Mia but everything was suddenly a blur as the car jerked to a halt. She glanced back realizing what had happened. One of the occupants, Gavin, and hurled himself out of the vehicle.

What in the world...?

Kate was about to go and help, but with none of her gear, she wasn't of much use. They seemed to have things under control, but her scar was telling her otherwise.

She was in deep thought for a moment but a man got her and the rest's attention.

"You know, I never got to hear your stories. Looks like we got us a second to kill..."

Kate sighed and shook off what just happened. This night wasn't going so well. "Corporal Katherine Connors. You can call me Kate, though," she said, saluting the man as she noticed he had a uniform on. "Name, rank, sir?"

"...Hold that thought, guys..." suddenly said the soldier, hopping out of the vehicle to go over to the others.

...damn.

Gavin couldn't fell pain. Hell he couldn't feel anything. What in hell had Dave given him. He looked up at Faye who was looking around but staying next to him.

"Oh god is he here? What's wrong Faye?" he said his eyes half-open and his mind swirling

"Whos got any first aid skills mine are shit." David yelled to the occupants of his suburban. "Mike keep an eye on Gav so i can check out Faye." David then checked Faye for any injuries and other crap. Seems like shes got a fever. "I think i remember them saying in basic that vitamin d pills and some water helps."

"Vitamin C," Mia said to Faye. "All of what David said and you need Vitamin C."

She was trying her absolute hardest to keep calm. "I have no first aid skills," she said quietly. "Sorry."

"We're not going to shoot you," she said to Gavin. She felt herself getting slightly dizzy. "No shooting.."

Daivd puled the C pills out of the medkit, "theres a small water bottle in the glove compartment. When we're done fixing them up get them in the suburban, theres a place nearby where we can hole up."

Mike watched Dave jam a needle into Gavin and watched Gavin immediately calm.

"Ghawdd**n f**kin' junkies, if you need a shot that bad, just let me know, don't hop outta a fricken moving car!"" Mike joked. "I think you guys got this."

Turning back, he hopped back into the car and gave a small salute to Kate.

"Mike, McManus, Private: First Class. Got enlisted outta high school and served the army since." Mike said, while suddenly recognizing whom he was speaking to. Quickly, he provided a full-fledged salute. To himself, he thinks, "Holy s**t, a ghawdd**n RANGER?" He actually smiles and says, "Turns out the rangers didn't quiet lead the way on this one, ma'am." He was expecting to get punched or something else for the crack at her expense and braced for it.

Kate grimaced slightly at Mike but faked a smile anyways. She wasn't fond of regular Army types. They were always gun-hoe and generally idiots compared to some of the men she's served with. She frowned slightly at the joke he made.

"That thing made sure of that, I know...my unit was taken out before we even reached the rendezvous point," she said grimly.

It angered her slightly, making fun of her now deceased friends, but these grunts didn't know any better.

"What's with the hair?"

Faye stayed silent, still twitching her head around. She had an odd feeling, almost like she wasn't quite attached to her body. What in the worldddd? She stared around blankly at Mia, and David, then looked back down at Gavin, who seemed to have been helped slightly by the mor...what the word again...morphine. Man, I must really be out of it to be forgetting words...

Faye tried to add that she had first aid training, but was interrupted as she could have sworn she saw shadows move in the trees near the edge of the road, on the opposite side. Darting to her feet, she swayed unsteadily, but still pushed David and Mia behind her, heart pounding. Nothing moved, and she relaxed, tension going out of her shoulders.


((Yeah Faye's gonna be acting a little crazy for a while, so just push her along and humour her. She's just hallucinating, at least that's what I'm planning so, she's not really seeing anything. She's just cracked out. XD And yeah, Mike, you got what Faye's doing right. XD)

Gavin was swaying back and forth as his muscles relaxed.

"David, what the hell did you inject in me?" His head felt woozy and his body weak. He looked around and saw someone else who needed medical attention in Faye. He walked over and said, "Don't give her what you gave me..."

What? he thought Oh shit this thing is affecting my mind and I can't think straight. I think I'll take a nap.......Wait no! What the hell is this doing to my head. Dammit!
