I'd say that there's nothing wrong with messaging the J or Alex actors, or friending them, as they seem pretty open to that. The problem is, some of us are straight-up harassing them. Seriously, stop. You're not going to get spoilers if they don't want to give them (and why would they in the first place?) and you're not going to endear yourself or anyone else to them by behaving like assholes when they don't put up a video on your every fucking whim. It's their project, and I daresay that if you have any modicum of like or respect for their film, that you should damn well respect the creators of the film while they're creating the thing.

I, too, am getting fed up with the sheer assholery and insolence of how some of our number act toward the creators of the series. It's just becoming ridiculous. So for the love of everything related to Marble Hornets, PLEASE, JUST FUCKING STOP IT.

I got into MH because it was a wonderfully done project, only to find the fanbase degrading more and more to infantilism, and recently this has really begun to grate. I don't know what your problems are, but the creators certainly do not deserve this, and for that matter, nor do the ones of us with some actual measure of maturity to our names.

I just want to point out that to find Alex and Jays facebook all you have to do is facebook search Marble Hornets, so getting their facebook isn't creepy stalker material, its a simple word search.

Now the ones who are hunting down tim and brians facebooks well they are creepers.

That being said, don't ask for spoiler material from Alex or Jay.

Personally though I don't think the problem is here, I think its the other hundreds of fanboys from youtube who don't even know this is an ARG. (If it is an ARG)

What this comes down to is a sense of entitlement. Regardless of what ANY OF YOU believe, you are entitled to roughly 1/3 of fuck-absolutely-all from the MH dudes. Nobody owes you a goddamned thing, let alone a personal relationship out-of-game. You didn't sign a contract, you didn't pay for usage. You aren't a customer, or even really an audience member, you are a spectator, and spectators are, by their very definition, owed nothing but the spectacle they've come to see. And that you have received. You don't know these guys. They aren't your bros. They are a handful of storytellers who were gracious enough to share with you their story. And you loved every fucking second of it, your elitist bitching about time-frames and release schedules notwithstanding. You are no closer to them than you are to your favorite novelist. I, for instance, won't be knocking down Stephen King's front door, or weeping at the grave of H.P. Lovecraft, or begging Stewart O'Nan to tell me what his next book will be about. Because all they owe me is what they decide to give me.

The storyteller has the power, ladies and gentlemen. Respect that, acknowledge that. Go make some real friends.

Although to be fair, letting the storytellers know that you really enjoyed every-fucking-second of their bit is nice, if you're doing it in a way that's not psychotic! 'Thanks for this, I'm enjoying it/enjoyed it a lot!' is probably good enough.

And I suppose that following their facebooks, twitters, myspaces, blogs, etc. to see what else they might have made, are in the process of making, or are planning to make seems fair.

But the rest of that? Oh yeah, you better believe it. XD
