[Trailhead?] Ilogikal Thoughts I accidentally stumbled upon this while I was searching something and made a spelling mistake : ) Sometime I'm glad i don't pay attention. Seems somewhat legit, it's got the first puzzle already. Check it out. Who's down??

Looks like one for sure.
So, in the "About me" section it says that every page contains a puzzle of some sort.
Home\Blog: 9-A-7-9-11-D-A-G-8- 0-20-7-8-G-E
"9" seems to be the clue to solve it.
all the other pages empty ATM.
His profile says that he's a male from Cary, North Carolina
He goes by the name of Ilogikal, so he likes to be creative in his spelling.
EDIT: I'm not sure he was referring to "9" as the first number or the 9 numbers. He writes
Quote:
As for a clue on how to solve it, look to the number I provided. If you need another, I can not help any more then 9 already have and dashes don't count...
but I think that singular "number" might be a typo.

Anybody had any luck with the code? I'm still working on it.

Not yet Doing a simple letters/numbers solver on it brings up a lot of letters for the word logikalthought without vowels. So I'm wondering if the letters correlate to vowels somehow but.. I dunno. I'm still pen-and-papering it.
EDIT: Nevermind, it's too early... Wrote my L's to look like I's. Which still works out in a different way but... yeah. Coffee.\

I tried converting all the numbers to letters then performing a caeser shift....no luck.

After the ninth letter/number entry, it says "(Here is one where it belongs, no tricks, I promise)" which makes me think whatever it is, is scrambled and the 0 is the only one where it should be? So everything else should work around that maybe.
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ 0 _ _ _ _ _
Fudge if I know. I'm better with lore than crypto so I'm pretty elementary at this stuff.

I too took the 9 to be a direct replacement for I in a simple substitution(as in I = 9th letter of the alphabet.). But it really didn't go anywhere. The dash just before the parenthesis confuses me.
If the parenthesis breaks the line and there is really a single "word", I'd bet we have to replace something with space(s).

I agree with 9=I, especially because of the next line "I can not help anymore then (sic) 9 already have"
Also, the parenthesis break makes me wonder if -(here is one where it belongs, no tricks..)0-
is
-10-
since that's the only break without a parenthesis in between two things.
Or it could be a place marker like you guys suggested, I have no idea.

Word. I took it to mean that the 0 is the only number/letter placed where it should be and everything else is out of order or scrambled, the 0=space. Meaning 9 letters first word, 5 letters second word (if my math is on).
ETA: I don't mean to keep spamming this post I'm just thinking out loud in case it spurs something in someone more crypto-minded than I am haha.

Ah, but should we interpret ALL zeros to be spaces?
If that's the case, that would mean we have (without anything being done but direct letter substitution)
IAGIKDAGHJ B GHGE
If only that one is a space we have, and the other is 20 (not 2 0)

I think your second one is right. 20 is 20.
Also, I think if we're doing direct number-to-letter for the numbers, then there is a different code to turn the numbers into letters. Then unscramble it to get the answer. Also, if number-to-letter is the way to go, I can't think of any word that would be TGH_ _ , so I assume the entire thing (minue the 0) is scrambled, and not the individual words, if that makes sense.
Fudge, I don't know.

More likely 10 then 0. IMHO
