I have some extra info Qadhos has sent me regarding clue 9, unfortunately I'm stuck at work so I will post it as soon as I get in. Its gives us a direction which I had partially covered but I've obviously missed some stuff.

Suffice to say:

Valdemar II Born 1170
Thomas Beckett Killed 1170 (In Canterbury Cathedral)

This timeline and sequence

When googled leads in the direction of Leonardo Pisa (Born 1170ish) - Fibonacci sequence (Golden Ratio), I'd already come across this with Stephen Langton ArchBishop he wrote a Chant called the Golden Sequence. The dates I'd missed.

More later...

Email from Qadhos:

Quote:
Greeting Seadevil,

First I wish to thank you for your hard work. I never had any contact with you but I see you gave a lot of effort to solved this one.

I took the time to follow up on your analysis and I realized that both clues shared common ground in the Timeline: Valdemar II birth and the assination of Arch-Bishop becket in Canterbury Cathedral. As for the sheet music, I didnt find any clue about the music itself or the notion of sequence. That said, i fin the Golden Ratio something of great interest, anything else special on the timeline that could related to the Golden Ratio?

I am sorry if I wasnt of any more help. I will keep trying to see with other agent if we found anything in that direction.

Unfortunately I had read this early this morning so I haven't researched much on the Golden Ratio Timeline...

Well that sent me back to something I picked up last night in the chat room, 27th March, is the start of the preparations for the holy week celebrations from Palm Sunday upto Easter and on the 29th March, the Archbishop is carrying out a lecture on "History & Memory"... which tbh, didn't lead to much.

But then to tie together mass with the dates, another item of significance from around 1150-1170, was the writing of the Skara Missal (which uses the letters from our 'the key' page), it is writing of Catholic Service and Chants...

Although I'm not sure how the golden ratio/sequence would fit into that to provide us with The Key, it seems to be a big piece of the puzzle...

I've only very briefly had time to look at any of the current 'lock' info... but the new image of canterbury made me think of this, and it doesn't really fit with the 'S' in history... maybe another word to be found... will be another 12hrs before I have time to look further...

Awesome work snorkle, and everyone else of course. I'm relieved we did manage to crack the puzzle in the end. Smile

Time to get the next one down. Cool

Well done indeed, I was begining to go nuts trying to figure that one out.

I would never had tried applying the curve to picture. Nice to see someone's brain is working.

Correction: A-D-E-E-E-G-M-N-N-N-O-R-R. So that'd be 1-4-5-5-5-7-13-14-14-14-15-18. Wink

ok... although I don't profess to be the wordsmith or have the legendary walkthrough status as drejl.. here's how the events panned out today in the chatroom thinktank session.

We were talking about the large word on the picture from the yellowcurtain blog. We had pretty much agreed that it was going to be one of those wonderfully long german words, and begins with 'Mit'... I threw in that I thought it was maybe 'Mitglied', meaning member and that it looked like a members list given the signatures. Snorkle threw in memberscard which gave us ""Mitgliedskarte"".

After some searching and peering at the card, found this, which turns out to be Hitler's Memberscard for the DAP.

In between a joke or two about Ron Burgundy, drejl thought he would add with 'Google tracks Hitler to San Diego' which under closer inspection had a map of the Coronado showing a building in the shape of a swastika. Which just happens to be the

A great 45mins of collective effort.

Although we didn't get a definitive answer on the futhark runes.. :/

Excuse the double post...

We are approaching the last seal and potentially the climax to the story over the next few days, just wanted to try to ask some questions and see if there are still some more answers out there to find... or just to raise discussion here...

Futhark runes on the last clue, just a missed clue to that solve?
    Where/who is Harley?
Are we sill looking for an eighth letter from Eschantra - hidden access?
    Who was Solvej Pickman?
    Where is Entian?

You may have some Qs of your own, but these are the ones that bug me atm...

If you are in contact with QADHOS/Bobby/others, these may be some questions to gain some extra info around. I remember how we totally missed the barbizon-group/Bobby's blog in Ep2 (from memory) and only found it after it was too late to save EP.. although I may be wrong, but if we haven't found some info, they are not likely to provide it for us unless we prod or ask the right questions...

Another day of work, but will be back for the unlock, hopefully awake.. ><
